Abby is a sweet and shy little girl. She loves playing with her siblings but she is also very independent and will go off to play by herself or take a break.  Abby, Angel, Ally and Ariel will be waiting to meet you at Petsmart, Bleachery Blvd, during our weekly adoption event, Saturday, 12-4pm.  Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet outside those times or to have first dibs at the beginning of the event.    They came from a place where we got 11 kittens from 3-4 mom cats.  We also have two of the moms and another rescue has the others.  We sorted the kittens into 3 foster homes by size.  The other kittens that are siblings or cousins and will be available this weekend are Zolten, Teyla and Moash.   Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens.  All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, vaccinated (whatever they can have in the period they are in our care, some will still need additional vaccines after adoption), given dewormer and flea preventative and provided care for any known illnesses during their time with us.    show less

Barbi was found roaming along the highway in Greeneville, SC late at night, so we're not sure about her history. So far we've learned she is a spunky, happy, medium-sized, young mixed breed. Barbi is very eager to learn, and she's super food-motivated!  From what we can tell, she knows "sit," and she is likely house-trained (she has not had a mess inside while boarding with us). Barbi is very healthy and very, very friendly... Almost too much! She has a wonderful, bubbly personality. and she seems so incredibly happy to meet every human and dog in sight!  Barbi loves to play with toys and other dogs, although she is still learning the basics of dog etiquette. It doesn't seem like Barbi had a lot of structure in her past life, and she could definitely benefit from learning a few manners. Her new home will also need to meet her needs as a young, high-energy pup!  Barbi does not have a mean bone in her body; she just wants to play and play and play! Hey there! So you're looking for a pup?!  Well my name is Bear, and I am looking for a new home. I am a 2-year-old Black mouth Cur (I think), about 65 pounds, spayed, chipped and up to date on all my vaccines. Even though I am not allowed to walk without a leash yet, I do mostly well on a leash when I know where I am. Sometimes things distract me and I get excited, or even scared when I’m not familiar with the trail…hm, maybe that’s why I always need a leash. Either way, I love my daily 1.5 mile walks, and running around my ½ acre backyard; this really helps get my energy out. I don’t want to be picky, but I know a similar situation would be a must-have for a potential new family. Speaking of family, I was adopted when I was 5 months by a family with 2 young boys. I loved the big guy since the car ride home, but it took me a little longer to warm up to everyone else. I think I was really just nervous and scared being so young, because now I usually warm up to most people pretty fast. I play well with the boys, even though I can get a little too excited and have a tendency to knock into them or what they’re working on. I also like other dogs, but similarly, can be on the rougher side. I think it would be important that my new home does not have smaller children or dogs, but I would love another big dog to play with! I should confess that sometimes my love can require a lot more in return. I actually have separation anxiety when the big guy is away, and I can be a bit protective. I usually settle down when he leaves, or when I meet new people, but it can be a little hard for me at first. Really, I just need a lot of love and attention, with a bit of rough housing. Oh right, speaking of housing…I am quite proud of how well I learned to live in a house! Although I can make a mess tearing up my toys, I do not chew shoes or couches, and I always do my business outside! I also learned some basic commands (and a few not so basic) after we found the right training program for me. To be honest though, I may have forgotten a few. You see, I live in a more free roaming house, and the folks here are not really able to keep up with my training. I know in my heart that someone with good training experience, especially with ‘spirited’ pups like me, would be the best match.   Also, there is just a little bit of medical/dietary info you should know; a little while ago I started taking some joint health supplements after I was having some troubles walking. A surgeon had said that I don’t need surgery, but instead if I take these supplements for the rest of my life, I should be fine…so far so good! I also really like raw meats added to my kibble, especially ground turkey or salmon (I think the salmon really helps my joints, too!). I know this and the supplements are little more than most people are used to, but I would love it if you could afford me this…I really don’t require much more than that, not even treats all the time! Just one at bedtime! Well, I really hope you are considering bringing me into your family. Even though I love my current family, I think we are just at different stages in our lives that can make things difficult. Just to recap, I know it would be best if you could devote a decent amount of time and love to me, and use your training experience to keep me busy and on track. Bella is about 12 years old and weighs 11 pounds.  She is quite the typical chihuahua and is very loyal to her person/people. She recently had a dental and was spayed.  She likes hanging out with her foster parents on the bed and on the couch and doesnt seem to mind the other dogs and the cats in her foster home as long as they give her space.  Bella uses pee pads rather reliably and would love a home to enjoy her senior years.  She is also up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. UPDATE JANUARY 2022:  Bella has moved to an amazing new foster home and although she has only been there a short time, she moved right in with no issues at all and is being the sweetest kitty ever just like we have experienced over the past 8 months once we figured out the right medication and quiet living environment for her.  She is described as an ANGEL by her new foster!  Read more about her past year below....    Bella....adopted as a super sweet young kitten.  Loving, affectionate, chased after the children to play.  Something happened....we really aren't sure what...perhaps the young children got overly rambunctious, perhaps she bumped her head, we really don't know.  Her family loved her so much but something happened and she literally went bonkers.  She seems to have some hearing loss (although not complete).  She seemed to be seeing ghosts (best way we could describe it) and would get super freaked out.  On the advise of vets, we tried anti-seizure meds, we tried a variety of anxiety meds....and finally found one that worked for her...Clomipramine....it works!  Bella is back to her sweet self if she has this oral medication once per day (pill form and she is easy to give it to).  the medication costs around $1/day.  She is loving, wants you with her every day....wants your lap, makes biscuits, purrs, rubs on you. enjoys belly rubs.  She gets very lonely if she is left by herself all day so when her mom returns to her home office on Monday mornings, she is SO excited.  She nees a home with someone who has a lot of stability in their life, quiet and routine. Her crazy is scary...it is the halloween style screeching cat. Good thing is, we don't see that cat anymore because her meds stabilize her so well. She backs herself into a corner and is hissy.  We want to be real here....this is a big deal and it will take a very special cat person to care for Bella.  She has never lived with other pets and the ones in her foster home (since March 2022) have made her anxious so she has been in a room to herself (now her foster mom's office where she works from home).  But, recently, with the door cracked open, she has begun to show interest in one of the cats that comes to sit outside the door.  He really just wants to go in to steal her food but she seems intersted in this mystery man outside the door.     Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet.  Bella would not do well at an adoption event so meet and greets will be conducted in her foster home with approved adopters.   All cats are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, FELV/FIV tested negative (unless otherwise listed), dewormed and given monthly flea preventative.    show less

Blueberry is a gentle, affectionate lap cat. She is a loving companion who would love to cuddle up close to you at night or sit on your lap while you work or watch a movie. She'll take a minute or two to make lots of biscuits before settling in to purr on your lap. Blueberry would do best in a quiet home as an only cat, or potentially with another cat who gives her plenty of space, as she gets stressed from being around other pets who get too close. She is very easy-going in the right environment, even tolerating having her nails trimmed without any fuss. His favorite toys are plastic springs. He’ll provide endless entertainment to himself and you just chasing them around. He loves to be held and pet, and will purr up a storm as soon as he’s touched, but he’s a quirky little fella when approached. He hasn’t quite figured out that being approached by a human is going to lead to the nice pets and purrs. He tends to run just out of reach or hide behind or under something. Once he’s more relaxed, he’ll ask to be pet and held, and then it’s all purrs. As he grows into a more confident kitty, he needs a kind, patient person, to make him feel secure. He will do well to start in a small space at first (no hiding under beds or other places you can’t reach), and will thrive when pet and held multiple times daily, so he gets over his fear of being approached.
