Chloe 💕

Beautiful, sweet, and petite are the best words to describe Chloe. She LOVES receiving pets and scratches behind her ears...she thinks they’re the best and will roll to her side as she shares her adorable soft purr. She enjoys being on her cat tree and wet food! She has potential to be a kitty that hangs out near her person, but is quite independent and a bit shy initially, but becomes your best friend with wet food! She really is such a sweet girl!

Chloe really enjoys kitty friends and would love to have a playmate in her forever home! She currently lives with dogs and kids and is fine as long as they are respectful. Loud and sudden movements tend to scare her so a quieter environment is preferred for her forever home for her to be most comfortable.

Chloe is about 3 years old, spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She also recently had a dental so her mouth is in tip top shape! Now she just needs her forever family 🙂
If that could be you, fill out the application on our website!

Dora 💕 If you’re looking for a kitty to keep you company, plays cat soccer, and is a tripod, this beauty is for you! She’s been waiting awhile for her forever home and is more than ready to entertain you and become your best friend 🙂 Dora first came to SACR with her mama & 3 siblings in January 2020, and she was the first of that litter to confidentally explore her environment, earning the name of Dora (the Explorer). She returned to our care a few months later after she and her pal Joey were found outdoors with various serious injuries. Both of them healed, but Dora's injuries required some surgeries, including the amputation of her hind left leg and the tip of her tail. She recovered well, and learned how to run, climb, and jump with her 3 good legs, altho she can't jump very high or far, so she mostly climbs when she wants to go up.  She esp loves climbing her cat tree to the top in order to nap or watch the birds and lizards thru windows. She also loves to play with a variety of kitty toys, solo or with her pal Joey. Dora can be independent, but has learned to be assertive about occasionally asking for pets or a lap, and you'll be rewarded with a cuddle and purrs.  She has been around a variety of other foster kitties of different ages, a medium sized indifferent dog, and a number of human visitors. She still likes her pal Joey, and most other foster kitties, esp younger and smaller ones, but would also enjoy being the only kitty queen of your castle.  Dora is almost 2 years old, current on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, and negative for FIV/FeLV. All this is missing is her forever home! If you could give this sweet girl her forever home, please fill out the adoption application on our website 🙂 show less

Meet Honey 💛 She is not the typical cat you will see being posted with SACR. Honey is looking for a special home. Please read all of her bio to understand 🙂 Honey came to SACR from unknown curcumstances. All we knew is that a not so nice momma cat and her baby needed out of the shelter, so we took her so she could raise her baby in a safe space. Her baby has found his home and momma Honey has been working on trying to adjust to life with humans, but the truth is that she just honestly doesn’t care for humans .... and that is okay.  We can’t blame her as we assume she was once a feral cat or lived in a home where no one taught her humans are good. Our behavior specialist has spent months trying to earn her trust and we have realized she is the happiest when people arent around.  We want to give Honey the best life possible as with any SACR cat and that would be a home where she can be left to her own devices. A home where her owner doesn’t mind a cat that is 100% independent and will respect that she does not want to be touched. We know she would absolutely LOVE a home with a "catio" or an Arizona/Sun room.  We know this home is far fetched, but we know its out there somewhere. The perfect place for Miss Honey. She is about 3 years old, spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped. Please share her and help us find her perfect home! If interested, please fill out the adoption application on our website! 🙂 show less

How to begin to describe one of the sweetest & most gentle and affectionate cats you'll ever be lucky enough to know? Introducing Joey🧡 He loves humans. Being petted and cuddling with some play mixed in would reward any human that does these things with loud purrs and occasional head butts. He enjoys a variety of toys, but he esp loves to play his version of "fetch" with a couple of favorite crinkle balls - bringing them back to you when you roll or toss them across the floor. He sometimes carries, and sometimes cuddles, his favorite stuffed toys, including a mechanized fish that flops around occasionally. He enjoys watching birds & lizards from his cat tree bed.  He and his pal Dora were initially SACR fosters, and came back to our group after an accidental outdoor adventure led to some serious injuries for them. Joey suffered some bruises, but also some heat and dehydration issues, and those resulted in some very minor brain damage, which manifests in slight depth perception issues, minor nocturnal seizures (only occasionally & only while he's asleep), occasional incontinence during said seizures, and a need for a small dose of anti-seizure meds daily. Although he has grown into a big "almost 2 year old" guy, he has also maintained the affectionate and gently playful personality he had as a kitten 🧡 He and his pal Dora still enjoy each other's company, altho both have become a bit more independent as they've matured, but he has also been a wonderful & patient "big brother" to a variety of foster kittens. He has not been around small children, but shares space occasionally with a medium sized "indifferent" dog. With slow proper and respectful introductions, he could adapt to any household.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. show less

Torti and Little Boots 💕 Are you looking for a pair of low maintenance senior sweethearts to bring joy to your life?! These beautiful girls are bonded sisters that came to us after their owner unfortunately passed away. These girls are ideal, relaxed and couch potato cats. They LOVE  to be brushed and get ear scratches. Window watching and smelling the fresh air when the window is cracked is their favorite past time. They are a bit shy at first, but with patience and time they learn to trust ❤️ They had severe dental issues upon arrival which we got taken care of! This includes extensive bloodwork to ensure they were healthy. The Cat Hospital of Tucson did remove most of their teeth, but got those remaining sparkling as ever!  We are happy to report they both now have a clean bill of heath and are ready to move on to their forever home! Given their age we are open to fospice (forever foster where we pay for their medical, while you worry about their care) or adoption. We just want to ensure they find a forever place to be spoiled and loved while they live out their golden years ❤️ Both girls are about 13 years old, spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you could give these girls a chance, please fill out the application on our website. Any questions please ask! 🙂 show less

Midnight is a loving, gentle companion sure to steal your heart ❤️ He is one of our special seniors looking to find his forever family with a quiet, calm environment that he can live out the rest of his golden years in.  He's happy to receive head scratches and TLC! When he wants attention, he’s not afraid to gently come up and rest his paws on you to let you know he’s ready for affection. He will even snuggle up to you, especially at bedtime! He has always had other cats nearby, and gets lonely without a friend. Another calm, older kitty friend would be great for Midnight! A home without dogs and young kids is preferred to keep him most comfortable.  Midnight does have some medical issues with his older age including a moderate heart murmur and elevated kidney values. Secondary to his kidney issues, he has developed high blood pressure which he is on medication for so it is well controlled. That being said, he needs an owner to keep him comfy and happy while understanding that he might not live a long time as there is currently no cure for his conditions. He will also need to be see every 6 months for follow up exams and to check his blood pressure. We are open to fospice (foster care until end of life) or adoption for this sweet guy. He did have some trouble gaining weight, but at his last vet appointment he gained and the Dr is happy with his progress! He’s now eating well and loves his water fountain.  He really is a sweet guy that deserves a chance at his forever home being comfy and spoiled ❤️ Midnight is 12 years of age, neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Any questions please feel free to message us here or email adoption@sacatrescue.org  If interested in adopting, please fill out our application on our website! show less

Ziggy 💕 **Please read full bio before applying** This beautiful girl is quite special and looking for a particular person or family. One who will understand that she’s perfectly imperfect 💕 She was diagnosed with mild CH (Cerebellar hypoplasia) aka “wobbly cat syndrome”. She gets around well, but every so often she can lose her balance and will either fall, flop or wobble over. However, it doesn’t slow her down much and she loves all her toys! She also can climb onto things like the couch, which she enjoys hanging out on. Overall she’s such a love 💕 Due to her balance issues, she’s still trying to get the hang of the litterbox 100%! She recently got an upgraded large and easy to enter litter box designed for senior cats that’s been working well.  A single level home or one without areas that could cause large drops/falls is preferred for Ziggy as well for safety reasons.  She loves other cats, dogs, ferrets...you name it. She also really loves her treats (Weruva Mack Jack and Sam wet food or any kind of Churu treat are her favs!) She would benefit from having elevated food dishes like she does in her foster home.  Ziggy is going to make someone out there very happy. She’s the jackpot! You will instantly fall in love with her 💜 Ziggy is about 6 months old, spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If this sweet girl has stolen your heart and you could give her the forever home she dreams of, please fill out the adoption application on our website 🙂 show less
