Meet THE IRISH PUPS who will be ready for their forever homes right around St. Patrick's Day! We believe these cuties are basset hound mixes and will be medium-sized dogs when fully grown. Their mama (Dierdre) is only 45lb, but we do not know how big the father was. These sweet little pups will be approx. 4mo when they arrive in March and can’t wait to find their forever home in New England! They are currently with our South Carolina boarding partner and are unable to be cat or kid tested, but proper introductions are always necessary. Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. We are a foster-based rescue and dogs can be located anywhere in New England. All adopters must be pre-approved to arrange a meet and greet, and the adopter is expected to travel to the dog's location. We do not transport once the dogs arrive in New England. Amora is finally almost ready for her forever home! She is approx. 2-3 years old, just under 50lb, and is recovering from heartworm treatment. She is a sweet girl who would love a home where she can run and play. She is good with other dogs, but due to being in boarding, she is unable to be child or cat tested. Axel is an absolute sweetheart but shy at first. He will be approx 7mo old when he makes his way to New England mid March. He is about 55lb, what the vet thinks a border collie mix, and will be a medium to large dog when fully grown. He loves other dogs and puppies and will play all day long! His forever family needs to be active and committed to obedience training, maybe even agility. Due to being with our Georgia boarding partner, he cannot be tested with kids or cats. Hi my name is Bach! I came up north late February and I have been with my foster family for a couple days now. I am quite little weighing in at just 20lbs at 4 months old. I may be little but I have plenty of energy and I am always on the move. I love to bounce around and play with my toys. I even give little play rumbles and grumbles when I roll around with my stuffies. I love kids and other dogs. My furry foster brother is my idol. I follow him around everywhere and just want to do everything he does. I give lots of kisses to my humans and crawl straight in their lap any chance I get. My two legged foster sister is 8 years old and she's really good at snuggles. I like her. I am very smart and learned very quickly to go potty outside. I may get into puppy trouble as I try to jump on everything and explore the world but I’m so cute you can hardly be mad! I am a very loving and gentle soul and I look forward to finding my forever family.    The musical pups are listed by the vet as hound mixes but likely have some terrier mixed in. They will be medium to large sized dogs when fully grown. Bambi is approx. 8 years old and is looking for her permanent forever home. She really dislikes having her picture taken- we promise she is happy! This 55lb mama gave birth in Texas to a litter of puppies who were eaten alive by fire ants. Her one surviving pup, Flower, was adopted and now that Bambi has completed her heartworm treatment, she eagerly awaits a home of her own. Bambi is good with other dogs smaller than her once proper introductions are completed. She would do best in a home with another submissive dog or as the only dog getting all of the loving. She would not do well with cats. Belle is approx. 2 years old, a cattle dog mix, about 30lb and looking for her forever home! She is good with other dogs and children over 6 (not tested with younger kids). Her foster does not have cats to test her with. Belle's foster mom has multiple adult dogs that Belle does well with and needs a confident, resident dog. She will not be adopted as an only dog. She is a very sweet, loving pup and would do best with an active family committed to proper training for heeler mixes. These Sweet Babies are the Ice Cream Litter, they were rescued when they were only days old with their Mom, Belle. They get along with other dogs but there are no kids to cats to test them with. As they will be under 5mo when they get here, they are young enough to be OK with kids/cats with proper introductions. The vet believes they are Chow/SharPei mixes and likely med-large size when fully grown. They have arrived in New England and are ready to go to their forever homes! Meet Benny! He’s an 11-12-year-old Beagle mix. Benny is one of the sweetest, cuddliest dogs we’ve ever met. He is always smiling and is nice to every human or dog he meets. He is so easy-going…all he wants to do is love you and keep you company. He’s very intuitive- if you seem sad or stressed, he does the most precious army crawl up to you and snuggles gently in your lap.   Benny has greeted every adult he’s met with a wagging tail and a smile, and he and our other senior dogs get along great and even snuggle with each other. We weren’t surprised to hear that his last foster said he also got along great with cats and older children. Benny is just a big ball of love! He has the biggest heart- and we don’t just mean that figuratively. The vet found that he has an enlarged heart, so he would fit best in a family that likes to take it easy, too. That doesn’t stop him from enjoying the outdoors, though. He loves to go on walks and to play in our yard. I imagine he will love spring and summer so he can bask outside in the sunlight.   Benny prefers not to be alone. He waits patiently in his crate if we leave the house and greets us with sweet yodels, tail-wags, and kisses when we come back. When we’re home, he follows us around the house like a  comforting little shadow. Once we settle down to work for a while, though, he will easily sleep in his bed for hours without disruption.   It seems clear to us that Benny spent most of his life in a loving home. He is totally potty trained (hasn’t had any accidents) and is great on a leash (no pulling). We imagine his last owner had a hard time resisting his puppy dog eyes, as he’s a little chunky, but we’re working on improving his diet and exercise so he is in his best health for his forever family.   All it takes is some good ear rubs to get Benny’s undying loyalty. Blizzard is a 5 year old husky and weighs about 55 lbs. He loves to be outside, and is excited to run around, but quickly settles down in the house. He is very affectionate and is always happy to give kisses and receive pets, or to chase a ball and play with dog toys. Blizzard is working on house training, but is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is quickly learning basic commands and is a fast learner, especially when treats are involved!   Blizzard’s ideal family will be active and walk or hike with him at least twice a day. He would also make a good running buddy. The home will have an active dog for Blizzard to play and run with, and a large yard with 6ft fencing. While his first response is to be tough with other dogs, once he sees the dog won't play until he backs off, he settles right in—and it is important that he has a playmate. His future family will have dog-savvy kids, or a kid-free home, with no small animals that he would want to chase, and will understand that Blizzard is a vocal Husky. Blizzard’s adopter(s) will also understand how important it is for him to continue and be consistent with his training program.
