Meet Jasper he's an 18month old German shepherd mix.  He's full of energy and enthusiasm.  He loves to play with other friendly dogs, investigate the cats or chase them, meet new people and learn new tricks.  He is very intelligent and food motivated.  In just 2 short weeks he's learned sit and down on a verbal and hand signal, touch(my hand).  We've started work on a sit stay and ignoring the food in my hand.  He absolutely loves to work for his meals.   He is completly housebroken and crate trained.  He also enjoys car rides and will make a fantastic running partner.  He will need reinforced on walking nicely on a leash. Jasper absolutely needs a fenced in yard play and a person who will diligently continue working on teaching him new tricks(obedience related).  He would do best in a home with older children( >10y) and possibly another friendly friend to play with.  When he is overly excited he barks and can be mouthy  but we are working very hard on redirecting his attention to food or toys. He is very loving and devoted to his current foster mom.  He will curl up on the couch and watch movies with her or lay at her feet while she's doing her boring computer work.  Jasper will make a fantastic addition to the right home.  He has the intelligence, devotion and drive of the GSD but at half the size!   show less
