About Tobi

Tobi is a very special 2 year old cat who is looking for a very special home. She lived as an outdoor pet when her leg was crushed in a trap. As a result, she had to have her leg amputated. Tobi has slowly been building trust while in foster care, but she will need someone who will patiently give her the time and space that she needs for her heart to heal now that her body is healed. Her missing leg does not hold her back physically. Tobi has been spending her time curled up observing the world around her. She welcomes pets and will purr and turn upside down to get the scratches in just the right place. She hasn't been friendly with the other cats in her foster home. She is good with older kids but young children may scare her. She would do best in in a quieter home that will give her space and seek her out to give her the affection she craves but is too scared at this point to seek herself. She has shown glimpses of playfulness which are sure to build as trust is developed. If you feel that you could give Tobi the very special and loving home she deserves after a rough start in life, we'd love to hear from you.

This young lady is very special...she's a hound so you must love and have experience with hounds...  Cinnamon came to us from Kentucky ready to give birth and she did so with her foster family.  She was the most wonderful and attentive mama.  Her pups have moved on and she has definitely come out of her shell or unpacked her bags as we like to say.  She is 2-3 years old, loves her foster siblings and is very playful.  She loves to run and wrestle!  She even loves the big tabby cat that rules the house.  She tries very hard to get him to play.  She has become talkative with her playmate and begs for her to get off the couch and play!!  She is a snuggler and will fall asleep draped across her foster mom's lap!  She does need a little manners training.  She will try to grab a sandwich from your hand and food from the counter.  If caught she has no remorse...lol!!  She will grab shoes and pillows but will drop them easily when she hears a firm no!  She is crate trained and housebroken, nice on a leash and is a very sweet soul.  She is not very comfortable around children so a home with adults is the best fit for her.  Lastly, she either needs a 6' fence or walked on a leash at all times.  Being the hound that she is, she wants to chase squirrels and rabbits and has jumped the porch railing and 4' fence at her foster home.  Until her escape, she spent her days sunbathing and chewing on bones on the deck and running the yard with her BFF.  She is worth the effort according to her foster mom and will make the right person the most loyal companion. show less
