About Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc is an adult, 14-pound female chihuahua mix who came to us from the NYCACC. Joan is playful and has healthy-looking gums and teeth, and our vet thinks she is about 5. Initially shy, once she comes out of her shell and gets used to her environment, she is the sweetest!
Joan is quite food-motivated, which has been a great training tool in helping her settle in to her foster home. Joan is on a special (easy to obtain) kibble, which helps her skin allergies. She loves her greenies as her night-time treat, and she loves story time before bed!
Joan is an active girl inside the home. She is playful and loves other dogs, and having a doggie sibling would help her get comfortable and blossom. We're goping for an adopter with a playful pup at home! She likes toys and chews. She also loves to snuggle next to her human on the couch. Outside, she is a bit nervous at loud noises and moving cars, although she does get excited at being outdoors and taking walks. A quiet neighborhood could help her feel more comfortable.
Based on her shy tendencies, we think Joan of Arc would be fine around older children who know how to respect a new dog's space. She will make a great addition to any patient family!
Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, and bordetella. Spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
