Meet Beaver:  Beaver is a 3-4 year old Irish Wolfhound mix that weighs around 75 lbs. Beaver was surrendered by his owners when they could no longer care for him. Beaver loves attention and would be better in a home where he is the only dog.  Beaver is excellent on the leash, fully house trained and crate trained. Beaver is fully vetted, neutered and up to date on all his shots. Beaver will need an active family and a fenced in yard. Beaver is learning to shake and sit. Beaver is a very sweet boy and because of his size we would recommend older children. Meet Bella! Bella was rescued by Charlie’s Crusaders after a volunteer reached about a dog sitting in a crate outside all day in the rain in Elizabethtown, PA. From the information that Charlie’s was able to obtain, Bella was born on 12/5/2016 and is a Min Pin/Terrier mix and is around 20 pounds. Bella is up to date on her shots, spayed, and house broken. Bella is afraid of being crated and her foster reports that Bella “wants to be with me 24/7 and needs constant attention.” Bella needs to be an only dog and will do best in a home with an active family with older children (13 years or older) and applicants must have a fenced in yard. Meet Cameron:  Cameron is a sweet 2 year old Carolina Dog/Pit Mix that weighs around 35-40 lbs. Cameron was found as a stray and about to be euthanized because the shelter thought he had a blockage in his intestines. We rescued him and immediately rushed him to our vet. After tests and X-rays it was discovered he was constipated because of his starvation and bad condition. Cameron has become healthy and finally vetted and neutered. He is starting his HW treatment now and gaining weight. Cameron loves the affection of humans and craves for their love and attention. He loves to lay in the sun, feel the grass under his feet and snuggle on the couch with you. He walks well on the leash and house trained. We would prefer a home with a fence, no dominant dogs and a family that can give him lots of attention. Meet Charlie Brown!!  Charlie Brown is estimated to be around 1-2 years old Male American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Around 50 lbs,Neutered. He is Heartworm positive and will go through treatment covered by the Rescue. Charlie Brown was rescued by some animal lovers from Mud Island in Memphis. He was a stray living in the woods, scrounging for food near the garbage cans. It took some time but they were able to trap him. Charlie Brown is a sweet, affectionate dog. Who loves people. He prefers the company of female dogs so NO homes with other males. NO cats.  He is good with kids but due to his size and lack of training he would be better with kids 10 years or older. He is wonderful with all dogs but would not be compatible with cats or small animals due to his prey drive. He seeks and craves human affection. He adores people and is very playful, but will need a home with children over 12. He walks well on a leash, loves to run and play and would need a fenced in yard. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, Heartworm negative and a total sweetheart. He will need an active family who enjoys the outdoors and would take him on adventures. Meet Chloe Beth! Chloe Beth is an adorable pit mix estimated to be around a year old and about 44 pounds. Chloe Beth was found as a stray in the Mississippi area and is now being fostered in PA. Chloe Beth is a very friendly dog and absolutely loves people. Chloe was previously fostered in the south with other dogs and did well with them. Chloe is currently being fostered with 2 cats and is slowly learning to be around them. Chloe Beth is a smart girl and since being fostered in PA she has learned “sit” and “paw.” Chloe Beth loves to be petted and will give you her paw when she wants attention. She also loves to cuddle on the couch. Chloe Beth loves stuffed animals and has been learning how to play fetch with a rope toy. One of Chloe Beth’s favorite things to do is take a walk with her foster and then run around their back yard. Meet Dior! Dior is a pit lab mix, she’s almost 2 years old. She is a rescue bait dog that was put in a shelter due to be euthanized. She is so ready to find a forever home! She is so energetic and loves being outside! She has been through a lot, she needs someone who is patient and gentle, give her confidence and consistency. She loves cuddling on the couch. She absolutely adores car rides and hikes. she plays well with multiple toys and loves the color orange. She loves getting little training treats and is grasping commands such as (sit, wait/hold, lay down, and gentle). Dior would thrive in a home with NO other pets! Her current foster has smaller animals such as gerbils and reptiles, she has no issue with them in her space. But cats get her too overstimulated. If introduced properly and given the time she could live with one other dog her size, but that dog would also have to be submissive. Dior is potty trained as well as crate trained. She is a resource guard, but responds well to “WE’ER DONE” (with her attitude)! She is so sweet, she loves belly rubs. She loves kids. Loves walking in creeks, but does not like the hose.
