This is Able, he is one of 8 husky mix puppies born with us late Jan 2021.  His mother, Angel, is a sable husky who was brought to us having been shot.  Two blood transfusions and an emergency surgery later, she miraculously survived!  We quickly realized she was also pregnant.  She gave birth and has been an excellent mother.  These puppies have been handled since birth and are well socialized.  We have no idea what the father may have been but we assumed they will be husky sized.  They are at the perfect age to be adopted to a home with children and other pets.  They are healthy and up to date with shots and are working on housebreaking/cratre training. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org. Chibi is a word for "small child" child in Japanese. When Chibi came to her foster home, she was about 6 weeks old but was only the size of about a two week old. She was extremely tiny for a very long time. She is still a small cat. She has an exotic look - she is a beautiful cat. Chibi is loving, sweet and still plays a great deal. She gets along with other cats when she wants to and loves her foster mom's dog. She has been fine around small children as well.  Chibi has a condition called stomatitis which causes extremely painful ulcers to form in her mouth and on her gums. Stomatitis is an auto-immune disorder. She gets a steroid shot when she starts having problems and it has worked wonderfully for her. Some cats with stomatitis may eventually have to have their teeth pulled if the condition can no longer be controlled by the steroids. Because of her need for careful monitoring so that she doesn't have to be in needless pain and can be taken for the steroid injection sooner rather than later, Chibi is considered special needs.  She is an awesome, beautiful girl that is a perfectly healthy cat other than her having stomatitis! They call me Grayson.  Everyone who sees me says "OMG, what a beautiful cat!  Don't they know I am an alpha male?  I am Handsome, and I know it. When we first meet, I may be a little nonchalant.  But, if I like you, I just might sit next to you or, if I really like you, I’ll sit on your lap and allow you to massage me.  I know what you’ll say when you touch me, "His fur is so luxurious".  I take very good care of my appearance.  There’s a lot of pressure when your only outfit is a velvet, gray tuxedo. My friend, Oscar, is my best bud.  We’d like to stay together, if possible.  As I said, I’m an alpha male.  He’s not.  So he lets me be the boss. Sometimes, I get very scared and I act crazy.  The first time I went inside, I freaked out and went berserk.  But, now, I love being inside where it is safe and clean and my paws stay much cleaner using a litterbox than digging in the dirt. Although I may take a little time to trust you, I am a very loving, gentle companion.  If you don’t have any other pets, Oscar and I would love to be a part of your family. I am FIV+, but don't let that scare you - I can live safely with spayed/neutered, FIV- cats inside without any problems. Ask my adoption screener and she can give you all the information you need. Meet Jax. This handsome fella is very sweet and has super high energy! He is going to need a fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play.  He is good with most other dogs but will most likely chase cats. Small children will get knocked down in a hurry because of Jax energy level. Jax is a great dog but is still young and working with him to learn commands and proper behaviors will be necessary. Layla and her sister Kayla were outside by their "owners" and were searching for food and shelter.  They are 3-4 months old.  Thankfully, they sought shelter at our animal control officer's home.  She has dogs that are not good with cats and she brought them to us to find new homes.  The mother of these two is a munchkin but we have no idea who the father was (traveling salesman) so we have no idea how tall they will be.  They do have "squishy" faces and are adorable.  They are both sweet and are playful.  They are good with other cats, they like kids and are getting accustomed to being around dogs.  They are up to date with shots, litterbox trained, spayed and tested negtavie for FeLV/FiV.  If you would like to adopt, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org Adoption fee is $75 for the first kitty and $35 for the second.  First consideration will be given to applicants willing to adopt the pair together. Letty is proud to have a half-tail. Maybe her half-tail explains why she is equally sweet and snobbish. She is very sweet and likes to be petted but she definitely prefers her schedule over yours - pet her only when she wants you to pet her, regardless of whatever else you may be busy with. She likes to be near you, but not necessarily right beside you. Letty lives up to the typical cat entertainment imagine - she loves to play and get in to things she has no business getting in to. She is always busy chasing, stalking and pouncing with her foster siblings. She also possesses THE box obsession phenomenon. Letty will play in, on or around a box for hours. Big, small, narrow, wide...she doesn't care - although, she does favor an empty drink box over others if there are multiple box choices available.  Letty adores other cats, could care less about her foster mom's big dog (except when the tail wagging is excessive - then her interest is peaked significantly) and doesn't mind calm children. This precious puppy is Lucy (DOB Jan 2020), a pure bred Feist puppy looking for a home.  Lucy was surrendered to us by her breeder when she as 4 weeks old.  Unfortunatley her mother decided motherhood was not for her and attacked her litter.  Lucy was the most wounded of the litter and the breeder could not afford her vet care.  One of Lucy's eyes had to be removed and the other one is impaired.  She can see some but it is limited sight.  She also lost a bit of her tongue and has a bit of ear missing.  That is the bad news.  The good news is that Lucy has a zest for life like no other dog we have seen in a long time.  She is super friendly and outgoing and her spirit has not been at all affected by what has happened to her.  She runs and plays like a normal puppy.  Lucy is active and will need a home that can meet her energy requirements.  She will eventually wear herself out and become a sleepy cuddle bug but she does love to play.  She is good with other dogs, is fine with cats and would be great for a home with kids that are looking for a dog that wouldn't mind some rough play.  Lucy is up to date with shots, spayed, negative for heartworms/on prevention and is learning housebreaking, we are not quite there yet but she will hold it while being crated.  If you think you are a fit for Lucy, please visit our website at www.myhstc.org to submit an adoption application.
