Hello,  My name is Agnes.  I am a beautiful woman that likes to play hard to get.  I don't just go with the first young thing to come along.  I am looking for a long lasting relationship with a couple that has patience and allows me the time to get to know them, and adjust to the new life.  Once I get to know you, I will love you forever. We love Agnes and know you will too.  Located in Sealy, TX Agnes is available for adoption through Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Dog Rescue.  Photos by the wonderfully talented Kelly Garvey Photography Trust, is what I lost when I was dumped and sent to a cold cruel shelter.  I had babies at the shelter and was so scared and alone.  That is when Sauver Des Chiens took me in.  All of my babies were adopted to good homes, but no one wanted me.  I had a little behavioral issue, being left behind.  Sauver Des Chiens sent me to work with Alex to help me overcome this.  I am much better now, but still take time to trust.  I need an adopter that understands that.  So if that is you, I can have my bags packed at the drop of a hat. Avery is approx 2 years old.  She is such a sweet girl that loves affection from humans.  She was owner surrendered to a small shelter in Louisiana .  Veterinarian places her at approx 2 years.  We believe that she had several litter of puppies.  She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on preventatives.  She is spayed and Heartworm Positive - She is currently going through Heart Worm Treatment. Ready to adopt!  Want something to be thankful for?  How about this smiling love bug! Ben is 2-3 years old and looking for his forever home!  He is house trained walks on a leash comes when called. His sit is getting better! He is dog friendly but not chicken and probably not cats. He will kennel on command and doesn’t mind it at all! He has also done well in the house so you can leave the door open once he is adjusted.   He is a German Shepherd mix and on the short side. He has more of a lab coat than a GSD undercoat so less shedding! His markings and color are beautiful and he is ever so loving!  He has finished his heartworm treatment and is neutered And up to date on shots.  He is ready for his forever home!  He is available for adoption through Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Dog Rescue.  Please let me know if you have any questions or need an application.  And please share with your friends - you never know who will need this smile! Forte is a gorgeous male about 5-7 years old.  He came to us as a stray with a Large 2lb tumor attached to the sheath of his penis.  We immediately made arrangements with Family Animal Hospital Friendswood to remove the growth.  Surgery went well and he has recovered completely.  He is an easy going dog, good with other dogs, kids, people.  Not sure about cats. Forte has been neutered, current on all vaccines, and is currently on Doxycycline to prepare for Heart Worm Treatment, which the rescue will cover. Local Adoption Only until Heart Worm Treatment Complete in December.   show less

George must have had a difficult life as he is a bit anxious.  He has begun to calm a bit since he was neutered. He will need an experienced GSD adopter as he gets a bit anxious when restrained with a leash at times which can cause a bit of handler reactivity.  He is a gorgeous boy and we hope to find him a loving home with a family of his own. We would recommend him as an only dog, no young children or cats. George is Heart Worm Negative, up to date on all vaccines, and Neutered. Laura - named after the 2020 Hurricane Laura that hit Louisiana.  She is from Louisiana...a little cajun.  Laura is about 2 years old, beautiful light colored German Shepherd Dog.  She is up to date on vaccines, has been spayed and is Heartworm Positive.  She is currently on the program to have Heart Worm Treatment end of December or early January.  Rescue covers expenses for that. She is a very sweet dog.  Easy going, good with other dogs, good with children, unsure of cats.  She would be good in a home with youngsters as well as a quiet home.   Due to her positive Heart Worm Status, she is available for Local Adoption only at this time.  Houston Metro show less

Millie was a stray picked up in Houston, TX and taken to Barc shelter.  We found her there, she was frightened and nippy.  The shelter is a horrible place for dogs, so cold and uninviting, loud noises and barking dogs. She is about 5 years old and has had time to decompress and is doing well.  She has an odd teeth chatter at times when nervous. She is meeting new dogs and people and adjusting.  She has been with us about a month now and has put on some weight and her foster Mom is working with her to overcome her social skills.  At this time we would recommend a home with no small children. She is current on all vaccines, has been spayed and is Heart Worm Positive.  She is on Doxycycline and scheduled to have Heart Worm treatment next month.  Due to the treatment we will need to find foster or foster to adopt in the Local Area of Houston Metro.   show less

FOREVER FOSTER NEEDED Mr. Brown was found on the streets of Houston by Amber Rochelle Moore.  She took him directly to Long Drive Dog and Cat Hospital.  He was given all vaccines and microchip and tested positive for HW, begin Doxy. We believe he is 4-5 years old.  Very friendly, loves belly rubs, good with other dogs. It is with great sadness that we find Mr. Man has Stage 2 Renal Failure.  We are currently looking for a forever Foster to care for him for the time he has left.  To show him his bucket list, to give him the best life possible for as long as possible.     show less
