About Kahlo

Adoption Fee: $200

Kahlo is the type of dog that could totally change your life. She has the ability to put a smile on any face and her bubbly personality will melt your heart in seconds. She is a huge fan of belly rubs and her most favorited past time is giving endless kisses. Kahlo is a year old and weighs about 40lbs.. She came to the rescue after suffering from a severe spinal cord injury that left her back end completely paralyzed. She now rocks a diaper and a cute little cart to help her get around. Some people might be taken back by her disability but not Kahlo, she strives to lead the most normal life possible; never letting anything get her down. With the right family, Kahlo will continue to beat the odds and change the world around her. The unconditional love she possesses allows her to accept every person and animal she meets. She is a true sweetheart! Kahlo is now looking for her foster-to-adopt family who owns their home in the central Florida area, where she won't be left home alone for more than a few hours at a time. Could you be that extra special family she is looking for? If so, please fill out our adoption screening form:

If you’re looking for the perfect mix of sugar, spice, and everything nice - Abigail is your girl! This spunky little nugget refuses to let her disability stop her from enjoying every minute of each day. She is a 5 year old terrier mix who weighs around 35 pounds. Originally, she was found on the side of the road in rough shape with several broken bones. Due to the extent of her injuries, she has since had her front leg and a few of her toes removed. She now rocks a super fashionable cart as needed so she never misses out on a thing. Abigail enjoys the company of other dogs but due to her sensitive nature, she prefers calm, well socialized, and non-reactive pups. Her ideal home would be one with only one other dog as she can get overwhelmed easily around other animals. *No cats* for this gal as she tends to chase her fellow feline friends. Being a pup who doesn’t always remember she has a disability, Abigail would benefit from a family who is home often and can watch over her to ensure her safety. She does best with children 13+ and older as she still has that puppy-like nature and can a rambunctious goofball at times. There is never a bad day with Abigail; it’s always smiles, laughs, and endless kisses. She is a real gem and without a doubt, a one of a kind pup. This very special little girl has a heart of gold and deserves a fun-loving family to share her life with. If you own your home in either Volusia, Lake, Orange, Seminole, or Osceola county FL with a fenced in yard and would like to meet Abigail, please fill out an adoption screening form: show less

Regardless of her rough start to life, Lucha has never once given up hope. She has more than lived up to her full name; Luchadora which translates to “fighter”. She is a precious 9-month-old terrier mix who weighs around 30 pounds. This tough girl now rocks a cute wheelchair to get around easier yet she is still faster than the speed of lightning. Diapers nor wheelchairs can bring Lucha down! She is unstoppable and a true inspiration to all. With a heart of gold, she gets along great with other dogs, cats, and older children. She loves spending her days chasing lizards, greeting the neighbors on walks, and playing with her favorite toys. She is an expert cuddler and prefers a warm lap over anything. Life improves drastically with Lucha in it and we just know that there is a special family out there for this one of a kind girl!  Special Needs:  Lucha was found abandoned next to a dumpster with severe injuries and in dire need of medical attention. Thanks to the quick thinking and kind hearts of the local firemen who found her, her life was saved from certain death. After further diagnostics, X-rays concluded that Lucha has a congenital defect that was likely present at birth. Some of the vertebrae are pushed together very tightly resulting in partial paralysis. Lucha still has some movement of her tail but does not have full control over her urine or stools. Lucha is seeking a family that is home most of the day as she does require more attention than a typical dog. She will gladly reward her family with plenty of kisses in return! If you live in the central Florida area, own your home, and think Lucha may be the right pup for you, please fill out a screening form found here:  show less
