Hello Canada My name is Kachi. I am a sweet face with a stellar personality to match. If you like what you hear, then you'll love my little eyebrows, they really sell my soft nature. I am a lovely lady. It’s bit hard to pinpoint what my breed is, but given my looks and my size, its a good guess that I am a shepherd mix of some sort.
Before becoming a rescue, I was living as a street dog in the middle east. Not much is known about my past before being found other than at some point I was a mom to quite a lot of puppies by the looks of it.
Lets rewind to a week before I was rescued. I was spotted in the side alley of a motel in a very sorry state. My fur was patchy and balding, my skin was itchy and worse my front paw had been badly hurt causing me to limp. My rescuer wanted to save me then and there but unfortunately had to wait as they didn't have the equipment to take me in just yet.
A week later they found me again in awful circumstances. Locating me by listening to the sound of my cries, there I was tied up with two men setting my tail on fire and laughing at my pain. My saviour got out yelling and managed to scare them off and take me to get the care I so badly needed. It wasn't long after being taken in that I began to bounce back, but living on the streets had taken its toll. Later it was found out my paw had been run over by a car. Due to the damage it caused there wasn't a point getting surgery as chances of recovery was slim. In addition to that, my teeth are damaged due to a poor diet and lack of vitamins, but I have no problem eating.
Though I have a few ailments that linger from my past, they don't hold me back or affect me much and am pain free.
Back before I had my beautiful black coat I use to have patchy fur. This is how I got my name “Kachi" which is short for “Kachal" meaning bald. As you can see now that isn't true anymore thanks to the loving care of my rescuer. As of now I am a very happy, healthy and playful dog who is full of life and ready to spend it with a loving family.
With all that stuff out of the way, lets get into the best part so I can show you what kind of dog I am. If lovable and sweet and sugar could be made into a dog it would be me! Even given my past experiences, I am a very kind and appreciative dog which you can see in my bright eyes. I can’t let the past hold me back when there is so much fun to be had! Don't underestimate me just by my one paw, because you can be sure that I will play just like any other dog. I just keep my one paw up and go for it.
I do tire on long walks or climbing hills, but I love to go anyway. Nothing like a good workout to help you sleep like a baby later.
As far as other dogs, there is nothing better than having a buddy to play with. Having a good wrestle is always a good way to spend the day. My first favourite love before my dog pals would be food. If you need me to do something, I will be happy to take a food bribe. Soft plushy toys are super fun for me. My rescue noticed I like the ‘angry bird’ toys what ever those are.
Besides being good with other dogs https://youtu.be/TGV_Lj_OI0c, I am great with kids too. https://youtu.be/6-O9G0bYt74. I am a gentle soul which truly comes out when I am being loved by my people. Though I am great with kids, my rescuer says I am sensitive to cats and bark at them. Who needs cats anyways when dogs are so much more fun anyways.
My ideal home would be one with an amazing family who can give me all plushie toys my heart desires, a backyard wouldn't hurt either ;). Having an extra dog pal would definitely be great, but I would be happy with frequent puppy playdates.
Because of my kind, loving nature I would be a great dog for a family. When it comes down to it all, I would really love to find people that will take me in and make me a part of their family. I have had a rocky road and now I am finally ready to hit smoother paths and find the love I deserve.
