About Burrito

Adoption Fee: $400

Burrito - more affectionately known as Cranky Roy - is an 8ish-year old, 12-pound chihuahua (jack russell/rat terrier?) mix. Roy is a cute little bow-legged guy with chunky feet, but cranky hence his name. Cranky Roy is house-trained and takes about 4 walks - well more like waddles - a day but he LOVES being outside. Outside, he runs around playing 'tag you're it' both with humans and other dogs. He can be very sweet, but needs a patient family who respects his boundaries and gives him space when he demands it. Roy loves snacking on fresh vegetables and enjoys the occasional dorito (because they're named after him). He can be needy of attention and climbs on you for pets and rubs, but if you are busy, he happily uses your feet as his own personal scratching post. At this time, we would not recommend a home with kids.

Received rabies, da2pp, bordatella vaccines. Heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered.

Carrot (aka Zoey) is a 10 month, 7-pound chihuahua mix with exceptional obedience and leash walking skills.  She is about to finish up a professional board and training program with one of Waggytail's favorite trainers to address some snappy behaviors. Carrot has not displayed any of these behaviors for several months since her training. Her adopter MUST have at least one friendly dog(s) in the home - Carrot loves other dogs (of all sizes) - having a fur buddy will help her remain balanced and give her a good wrestling partner.  Carrot's new pawrent must agree to continue working with her trainer (Brooklyn-based) to make sure everything she's learned is transferred to her forever home.  We do not want her old behaviors to re-surface. Carrot is a fun-loving and spunky little gal who loves to frolic with other dogs of all sizes.  She's a high energy dog and her person will need to be ready to set clear and consistent rules and boundaries with lots of structure in her daily routine. Please confirm in your adoption application that you agree to continue working with her trainer for at least 2 sessions to ensure a smooth transition, as Carrot will make a wonderful addition to your home! Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordatella. Spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative.  Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in fostering or adopting one of our Waggytails!
