💙BLAZE💙 This beautiful boy is Blaze.  Blaze is a 23 month old German Shep/Husky mix, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to light up your world.  He is gorgeous!!! Blaze has one blue eye and one brown eye and weighs a solid 64lbs Blaze is good with people, older kids, other dogs, but not great with cats.   He is crate trained, housebroken, energetic and friendly.  He is still very much a puppy and comes with puppy energy and will need a committed, active adopter.   Blaze is looking for someone who enjoys walks, hiking, visits to the dog park or any place else he can run and play.   Blaze needs consistency in a routine, continued training and MUST be exercised. 💙BOLT NUT💙 Introducing Bolt Nut!   This sweet and friendly boy is a 9 month old Shepherd mix.  He is Heartworm negative, microchipped, vaccinated and will be neutered June 6th.    Bolt Nut is excellent with other dogs, great with people and kids.  He is curious about the neighbors cats and wants to chase them, but doesn't have a mean bone in his body.  This youngster loves anything to do with water!   Running through creek beds, playing in his water dish, water coming out of the hose- you name it.  Bolt Nut knows "sit", "down" and is learning "stay" and "heel". 💙BUSTER BOY💙 Buster Fischer is an adorable 1 year old, black and tan German Shep mix. He is HW negative, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered and weighs 92lbs   Buster "Fischer" is one big love!  This sweet boy is crate trained, housebroken and great with dogs and kids.  Fischer is in a foster home with another German Shepherd and two Australian Shepherds and is learning dog etiquette and basic training.  Fischer has a fabulous disposition.  He is easy going, friendly and very loving.  He loves hanging out in the backyard and keeping a watchful eye over the yard and chasing off the squirrels.  Fischer has been cat tested and did great with a dog savvy cat (video available).  Fischer has made his debut out in the neighborhood by visiting dog parks, pet stores, etc and has done amazing!   Fischer is affectionate and really lights up when he gets pets from kids.  If possible, his foster would like to see Fischer adopted into a home with children.     Apply today to adopt Buster Fischer    show less

💙GHOST💙 Ghost is a handsome 3 yr old, strong boy.  He weighs 75 pounds and can be a little shy when first meeting people.  Ghost is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, has completed heartworm treatment and housebroken.  This stunning boy is good with dogs his size, but does have some prey drive so NO cats or small dogs.  Ghost is a big fella and is not aware of his size, we recommend adult adopters. Ghost is looking for an experienced large dog foster or adopter and needs a big yard to run off his energy.  Ghost would do best in a home with another friendly dog, his size, to romp and play with.  Ghost has been through formal training classes and the adopter will need to continue these practices to keep him consistent.     Notes from his foster:  Ghost needs a lot of physical activity and stimulation. Ghost needs to be in a household where he can go out and spend extended time outside exploring, playing, and running around, multiple times a day.  Even with chewing and toys in the house, it’s still not enough stimulation for him, he needs a lot of monitoring because he will chew on things he shouldn’t and will find things because he is curious and explores everything!  Ghost Is skittish and reacts to very random things;  he barks at the ceiling fan every time we turn it off or on.  He barks aggressively (unprovoked) at our teenage kids a lot, like he doesn’t remember who they are when they come home or come downstairs in the morning.  It takes him a while to calm down and warm up to them again.   There are so many great things about him.  He loves to play and it is super fun to play with him.  He’s loves to play and run with our German Shep. If he’s going to be in a home with another dog, it definitely needs to be a dog that can match his energy or be very patient with him when he wants to play and they don’t.  He’s pretty much housebroken, but needs to go out often or he will have accidents.  He’s done great sleeping in the crate at night, but it’s a challenge to get him in there, even with treats.  He’s not a treat-driven dog.   He definitely still needs to work on manners.  He’s gotten better with sit, but he does grab food or treats.  Whomever is interested in adopting him needs to know he will need work and be willing to do that work with him and must be patient.   If you are interested in this big spritied boy, please fill out an application below for GHOST Https://www.sauverdeschiens.org/adopt     show less

Jeb completed slow kill treatment for heartworms .  This sweet boy is 62 pounds of pure country lovin'  Jeb is very playful, great with other dogs and leash trained.  He doesnt know what to do with toys yet, foster stated he was tied on a chain before entering our rescue.  Jeb can be a little standoffish at first, but quickly warms up when given a little space and time.  Jeb loves to wear a cowboy hat (and boots) and loves spending time outdoors to run and romp.  He does great on car rides and hopes to find an adopter to expand his wardrobe.      If you are looking for an easy going guy, Jeb is your boy!  show less

💙KOVU💙 This is Kovu. This sweet soul is a German Shepherd/Husky mix and is looking for a very special home in the Dallas/Houston Metro areas.  Backstory: Kovu and his puppies were a severe abuse case. The owners had locked them up in a house for months without food or water. Kovu’s wife was a husky and a husky rescue took her and we took Kovu and puppies. The puppies have since found their forever homes. Kovu, however, needed more help with human socialization. He has come a long way with his foster. Kovu is 6 yrs old, up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, housebroken and crate trained. He LOVES other dogs and has gotten along with every foster that has come into the house.  Kovu is excellent with puppies, but he has no cat experience. Kovu also has no kid experience. So a home with "older dog" savvy kids, or no kids, would be best.  Kovu likes to play tag with his person, once he’s comfortable with you. He does like giving kisses and he is treat motivated!  This handsome boy is looking to be a member of a pack,  His foster feels Kovu would do great with a pack of friendly dogs who can continue showing Kovu that not all people are bad.  Kovu has made incredible progress at his foster home and does ok on a leash now but he tries to avoid others while out for walks.  Kovu has a bark but really only uses it when it’s dinner time or when he gets to go outside and is excited!  👉 Here's the "very special home" part. Kovu is not a social butterfly as far as humans go. His foster can pet him, but Kovu gets no enjoyment from it. Kovu is not a snuggle dog and since he is 6- it could be years, or possibly never, that he reaches the point of wanting that much physical attention. 💙LEVI STRAUSS💙 Strauss is a dapper white German Shep mix pup with a friendly disposition.  This 1 year old boy is microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered weighs 64lbs and is on flea/Heartworm prevention.    Strauss has lots of puppy enthusiasm and is treat motivated.  He plays very well with other dogs and every dog he meets is his new BFF.   Strauss is good with people, kids, cats and has great recall.  He is beautiflully crate trained, house broken and eager to please.  He knows "sit" "kennel up" and doing great on leash.   He likes to fetch and will bring back the ball or toy.   Strauss will be a big boy, at 7 months he already weighed 62lbs.   He rides great in the car and settles in quickly. Like every puppy, Strauss requires consistency, expectations and exercise.   Strauss has completed a board train program and is ready to find his forever home. He enjoys playing with other dogs so much we feel Strauss would be a great  second pup in a home with another playful dog.     show less

💙LUCA💙 Luca is a gorgeous German Shep mix, very photogenic and all about the love.  He is almost 3  years old, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, on flea and hw preventition, microchipped and neutered. Luca is a total goofball, he loves to play, romp and have fun!  He has great energy and is all about the fun! He is a big boy that doesn't have a mean bone in his body and would be a great running/walking partner. Luca has completed a board and train and is a quick study. His trainer says he is smart, eager to learn and does great with other dogs.  He would love to find an outdoorsy family to enjoy camping, hiking, and anything else out in nature.  Luca can jump a 6ft fence and his trainer has worked on this with him and he hasn't had an issue for several months.  Luca could easily be the perfect apartment dog with proper exercise   Because of Luca's size (tall and weighs 68lbs) and we would be cautious of toddlers.   APPLY for LUCA today!   show less
