Brandy (7/1/2020) - Brandy was born into a feral colony kept by a man who agreed to get help with spay/neuter of the adults and placement of the kittens. She was one of the kittens most easily caught and came into foster with the ubiquitous goopy eyes and runny nose but with the appropriate medication soon was a healthy, happy, feisty, playful kitten. She has grown into a beautiful, classy, loving cat who enjoys boxes, hunting bugs, and monitering the world outside the window. She likes to sleep cuddled up with a person or other cat. Brandy is comfortable with dogs and gets along with other cats. Brandy originally bonded closely with Murphy, but as they have gotten older they have expressed more independence from each other. They can be adopted together or separately. Mama Camellia came from Amarillo kill shelter saved from absolutely unnecessary "euthanasia". She chilled out at her foster house for 3 weeks and then delivered 4 adorable, sweet baby beans. She is spectacularly beautiful with the most striking thick natural eye liner. Her kittens will be adopted in pairs and Cammie is looking for her perfect home. At least to start, she would probably prefer to be the one and only lady in the house. She is a complete lover, always rubbing up against your hand and legs for pets and love. She purrs readily and would be an excellent snuggle buddy. She is about 3 years old, up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. She uses her litter box perfectly. This lady is a boss cat for sure. She will take what she wants when she wants it albeit adorably and charismatically. She will run your home like her command center with a sweet but demanding paw. She will ensure that all runs in the household to her expectations! Lucky Duck, also known as Duckie, is a seven week old kitten looking for her forever home. Her feral mother was brought to Colorado from Texas as a shelter employee favorite who they were hoping could be tamed. But her mama wanted to be a working cat and rejected any human advances. On the night before her scheduled spay appointment, she was tucked into her cage with a goodnight kiss. The next morning, a surprise visitor was there with mama --- Duckie! No one knew mama was pregnant with just a single kitten.  Unlike her mama, Duckie LOVES humans and wants to be cuddling all the time. She did inherit her mama's great hunting instincts and will readily kill feathers and little bits of flim-flam that cross her path. She is also a great talker and will sometimes quack like her namesake. But mostly, she wants to be in your arms, eating what you eat or right next to you as your most valuable personal assistant.  She loves cats, bosses dogs, and wants a home where the family can spend a lot of time with her and spoil her like the Lucky Duck she is. She will come with all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, with a microchip, and the rescue will cover her spay surgery at one of our vet partners when the time is right.  show less

Hi my name is Journey. I was found as a baby in a box on a country road with a damaged eye and covered in mange. My tail was also broken. It seems I was beaten. I am still fearful of people, but I LOVE dogs! I love to play and play and run! I'm looking for a family who understands I will take a lot of time and work to warm up and understand there are some good people out there. I have been working on being on a leash, and going to my kennel when told. I am an odd little duck, but someone, somewhere is out there who gets me. show less
