Hank may only be 6 years old, but he's had a tough life.  We always say "It isn't the years, it's the mileage." He's very sweet, so he was probably someone's pet once, but he found himself outside; hungry and alone.   He tried hanging with a feral colony, but the other males bullied him and he ended up finding someone to feed him... but there were dogs there that wanted to feed on HIM!   Luckily we saw his SOS and were able to get him inside, and he is super thankful for that.  He's a very chill cat who shows you with his kind face everyday how happy he is to be rescued.   He had to have several teeth removed and is FIV positive. FIV isn't as scary as once thought, cats can lead mostly normal lives when indoors and the risk of transmission to other cats is low, only resulting from deep bite wounds.  Hank is a lover and not a fighter, so we are confident he would be okay in a house with other cats but should be introduced slowly.  He may be okay with respectful dogs but given his history he may be afraid. show less
