About Charlie
Through no fault of his own, Charlie was surrendered to GRRACE due to his previous family's inability to be home as much as he deserved. He was living outside for most of his days, though this is not apparent in his behavior! Charlie is a sweet, one-and-a-half-year-old boy made of pure love and happiness. He is fully potty trained and respectful of his foster home. He does well in a crate but can be left out for periods when given lots of toys! This being said, he is still young and will require patience and guidance as he fully understands his environment. He is the perfect companion for someone looking for a new best friend who is equal parts playful and cuddly. He would play fetch for hours if given the chance (tennis balls are his favorite)! He also enjoys a good wrestling match with his foster brother (a five-year-old male golden retriever).
Charlie can be a little too enthusiastic when it comes to the family cat so a home with no cats would be best. No children lived in his foster home, but he absolutely ADORED the neighbor children (through the fence). He would most likely thrive in a home with older children or other dogs!
Charlie is making great progress with his leash manners. He's eager to explore the world around him and is improving with each walk. With a little patience and guidance, he'll be a pro on the leash in no time! Charlie is still working on his basic commands, but he is so smart and learning every day!
If you have time, patience, and love to offer, Charlie is ready to reward you with unwavering loyalty and adoration. He can't wait to meet his future family and forever home!
