About Katy
If you are looking for a smaller dog with lots of energy for walks and play, yet also loves just hanging around the house with her people, Katy may be the one for you. She is looking for an active family that will take her out for at least a couple of walks a day. She is good on a leash and loves her daily strolls! She loves everyone she meets but is a little shy at first. She quickly settles in and makes you her newest friend. Her adorable under bite and petite size (~25lbs) gets her lots of attention.
She gets along with her foster sibling and tolerates his occasional grumbles well. She is eager to please and responds well to redirection and rewards. Katy would be fine as an only dog or could be in a family with other friendly pups. Katy is good with kids. She is also good with cats. Her new home could be a condo, apartment or townhome as long as her new family makes sure she gets outside for several walks and spends time playing and buring off extra energy.
She likes to chew soft things and has de-stuffed 2 dog beds. Just a heads up as she still in that phase in her life. On the flip side, she does not chew on furniture; she just loves those soft things to shred. Keep a stash of a variety of toys for Katy, as she loves to play with them and you! Katy is leash and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and is a good little girl.
Katy's is fully potty trained. She will go out in the yard on her own during the day and do her business; she easily uses the doggie door and comes and goes. She is also learning to pee when out walking on a leash. Early in the morning and late at night, she puts off going tinkle and is ready to just come right back inside; so be a little patient with her.
So if all of this sounds like the right match for you, the next step is filling out an application! Get one in before someone else finds cute Katy as their paw-fect match!
