Meet Abe: Abe is about a 8 month old (as of October 2023) lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 25 pounds. The A-Pup litter (Avery, Abe, Andy and Amelia) was rescued by someone who found them dumped out under a bridge in a rural area of Mississippi. We are so thankful they are safe with us!  Abe is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. This litter is your typical group of sweet, playful, and loving puppies! Abe is outgoing, inquisitive and  adventurous!! It would be hard to resist this handsome boy that lives to play! Meet Africa: Africa is a 20-week old (as of November 30, 2023) lab / shepherd mix (best guess) that weighs about 22 pounds. This continent litter (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Antarctica and America) are sure to capture your hearts! These cuties were found under an abandoned house in Mississippi. Africa is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Africa is a happy go lucky pup. Meet Ajax:  Ajax is a friendly Pit mix that is 1 year old and weighs 46 lbs. Ajax was rescued the day before he was to be euthanized. Ajax is currently being fostered in the Leesport, PA area. Ajax is a very sweet and happy boy. He loves playing with other dogs and being around people. His foster describes him an inquisitive pup who loves to give kisses and go for car rides.  Ajax is an energetic boy and will need a family/caretaker that will take him for long walks and keep him active.  You will get your steps in with a friend like Ajax!  Ajax has so much love to give and can't wait to share this with his forever family. Meet Alexis: Alexis is a beautiful Beagle mix that is around 2 years old and 45 pounds. Alexis and her one baby were found in Memphis on the side of the road eating trash when Charlie's Crusaders rescued them. Alexis is now being fostered in PA and is ready for her forever home!   Alexis is a great dog, loves to be around people, is good with children, and gets along with other dogs. Alexis also loves to snuggle and will be your best buddy. Alexis will definitely need a fence and a family that will be home a lot during the day to give her lots of attention and exercise.  Alexis does not like being startled by strangers and needs a home where people are mindful about proper introductions.  A home with routine and clear boundaries would be ideal. Meet Arrow: Arrow aka Zachary is up for adoption because his current adopter is returning him because he moved to a new home and he can only have 3 dog’s and no Pit breeds. The adopter adopted Arrow and his sister over a year ago and is keeping his sister because she looks less scary then Arrow. Adopter also took in two small dogs a friend of his had to rehome and so now he wants Arrow gone. Our hearts are breaking for Arrow and we need a loving home for Arrow. Arrow has a high prey drive and is very rambunctious and when he smells something he wants to pursue, he will!!  Children in home should be over 12 years of age as he doesn't realize his size and strenght. Arrow is a Bully mix that is 3.5yrs and weighs 60-65lbs.  Arrow is a lovable and energetic guy. Arrow loved to play with his sister and run around the yard. He is somewhat obiendiant and easily trainable. He is housebroken and is up to date on all his shots and neutered. Arrow loves people but will need to be an only pet. Arrow will need a home with a fenced in yard and a family with big/strong dog experience. Meet Aurora: Aurora is about a 6 year old (as of November 2023) treeing walker coonhound mix (best guess) that weighs about 40 pounds. Aurora was found as a stray on the side of the road in Mississippi. A good person was feeding her, but worried about her as a stray by the road so they luckily reached out and we were able to get her into rescue. It seems as though she may have been an abandoned hunting dog. Aurora is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Aurora has a wonderful personality! She is very playful, loves to cuddle, and has shown zero aggression at all.  Sweet Aurora thinks she is a lap dog. Aurora has done well with other dogs - both large and small.  She plays nicely with a 5 year old child. Aurora spends her days in an outside kennel and sleeps inside at night with her foster. When she is inside, she consistently uses pee pads, so we feel as though she understands house training and will just need patience with a routine adjustment. We would love for Aurora to have a home with a fence so she can play and run freely. Aurora is up to date on her shots and spayed. Meet Bally: Bally is a 1.5 year old (as of November 2023) medium-sized lab/terrier mix that weighs about 35 pounds. Bally was found in Byhalia, MS. A business owner had many dogs outside on his property to protect his trucks, but unfortunately they were not fixed and he ended up with many unwanted puppies.  When we first got the pups, they were completely unsocialized, but we have had wonderful fosters working with this litter.  Bally's has come the farthest of his litter, and his behavior is indistinguishable from ordinary dogs that have come from "normal" environments with frequent human interaction. Bally will greet you when you come home and jump up on you for a doggie hug. Bally would love a home to feel safe and warm in! Bally would prefer a home with a fenced in yard so he can romp and play freely off-leash. Bally is house trained using a doggie door to go outside and is fairly good on a leash. Bally is up to date on his shots and is neutered. Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Meet Benny: Benny is a 23 week old (as of October 13, 2023) terrier mix (best guess) that weighs about 35 pounds. Mama Cookie’s litter (Sheena, Benny, Harley and Theo) are survivors! Mama Cookie was a family pet until the family grew with a human baby and then she found herself as an outside dog. While living outside, Mama got pregnant and had a litter of 10 sweet babies that she carried off to a safe place to try to care for them.  When our rescue heard of the situation, we went to try to help and were only able to find 4 of her sweet pups. We are committed to this little family and want these survivors to find the best homes! Benny is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. This litter is full of your typical happy, playful, curious, and oh so loving pups! Benny-Boo-Boo is a total love bug! He’s super sweet, loving, loves attention and affection! Meet Bette Davis: Bette Davis is a 3-4 year old female terrier-lab mix who is 40-50 lbs. Bette is a fun and energetic girl who loves water of all kinds! Bette gets along with people and dogs, but prefers not to share her food with other pooches. Bette is the life of the party and wants nothing more than your time and attention, though she wouldn't turn down a pool (kiddie or otherwise). Bette is up to date on all of her vaccines, has been spayed, and is ready to find her forever family.  Bette is currently in a loving foster home in Lancaster, PA.  Bette would do well in a home with children old enough to understand not take take treats or food from her, ideally age 8+.
