ADOPTION PENDING!!!! PLEASE check out our other needy dogs up for adoption!
Daisy is a 14month old, 55lb, Golden/Bernadoodle mix desperately looking for a foster home asap!
She is a great dog that will do well in any active home. Her young family separated and no one had time for her. She went into a short term home after being left alone in a crate 12 hours a day or more for several months. She has a Golden Retriever temperament and personality, but looks like a Flat Coat Retriever and is a great girl! Daisy is energetic (as she should be for her age!) but well mannered and is desperately looking for a home, as the GRRAND kennel is at full capasity and due to relocation issues, she needs to be out of the house she is currently in by the weekend of Sept 24! They say "This dog was abandoned with me by a friend's son. We offered to help him find her a new home in early July and to let her stay with us because she was being left alone, crated for 12+ hours a day. He has since stopped responding to my texts, emails, and calls, and we can NOT keep her! She’s affectionate, playful, very smart & eager to please. She loves all people & dogs. She is curious about cats and was in foster care with a cat. She loves being with her people, entertaining herself with a toy. Daisy is crate-trained and house-trained. She used to go to work & most everywhere else with her foster family. She rides very well in the car. She previously lived with two younger children and has spent time around children ages 5, 8, and 11 and is affectionate and appropriately playful with them as well. We took her on family vacation with us in late July to a lake house in Tennessee and she did great and was even watchful over the children when they were playing in the lake. She loves playing with all other dogs and is respectful of older dogs that do not want to play. She spends part of her time living with a cat that doesn't particularly like her but she is interested in the cat and will stand and stare at it, but does not try to chase it or harm it. She is very food driven and is a counter surfer/forager if food is left out, but redirects verbally and will leave the area if directed to. She knows sit, settle, and fetch. She walks ok on a leash, but does pull significantly if she wants to see another dog or people, but again, she redirects with a verbal command and a light pop on the leash"! PLEASE HELP DAISY!!
