Anastasia is FeLV positive. Anastasia came to us from a huge trapping job that we did a few years ago.   As a six month old, she was very skittish but as she has matured she has become more relaxed.  She lives in an FeLV room here at the Ranch with several other cats.  She should only be adopted into a single cat home or to a home with other FeLV cats. show less

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. We believe this is true for our man Drake here at the Ranch. He’s a mostly independent guy, which has earned him the nickname Drake the Snake. He's also HIGHLY food motivated. We've been able to use his true love for food to earn a little trust with him over time, and on occasion even get a little love. We think he could do well in home outside of the Ranch where he can be the real King of the Castle. If you like a challenge and have the patience to earn this young man's love, please contact us! I received a call from Barbara about a kitten in a laundromat in Central Islip.  It was not trapped but it was behind the machines, hiding in the wall.  She had been there with Lori for two hours trying to coax the kitten out.  They left and I arrived.  I didn't see it but I could hear it.  I slowly climbed on top of the machines and jumped behind them and was able awkwardly to put a kitten trap back there in front of the opening in the wall.  After a few hours of sitting on top of the machine, I realized the kitten was not going to go in.  It was peeking its head through the wall but was very cautious.  I left the trap set and left asking the attendant to call me if the kitten went in the trap.  Well Barbara got the call that Landon was in the trap, so she set out to get out to bring it to the Ranch.  She is still afraid.  She will be full vetted by the time he is adopted.   show less
