Meet Fable: Fable is a 14 week old (as of August 29, 2023) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 17 pounds. This rootin tootin cowboy litter of 3 (Farley, Farris and Fable) are sure to steal some hearts! These cuties were found abandoned in a rural area and luckily made it to our rescue. Fable is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fable is a sweet, playful handsome boy that is looking for his very own family! He loves people  and will lean against you to be close to you. Fable is a great mix of a happy playful puppy and a loving best friend! As a puppy, Fable will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Fable to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! Fable is up to date on his puppy shots and is scheduled to be neutered September 1st. Meet Fe Fe: Fe Fe is one year old (as of Nov 2023) and guessed to be a lab/shepherd mix that weighs about 35 pounds. Fe Fe and her litter mates (Patches, Goose, Maverick, Minnie, Pickles and Zoomie) were found with their mom as strays.  The finder is planning to keep their mama and are fostering the pups until we can find them great homes. This lovable litter is a group of friendly and active pups.   They love to romp and play around with each other outside.  They are currently in an outdoor kennel in the south, so they will need some patience while they work on their house training. We would love for Fe Fe to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play! Fe Fe is up to date on her shots and will need to be scheduled to be spayed. This girl is absolutely beautiful! She has a lovely brindle coat and her personality is just as lovely. She is very sweet, and loves to get pets and give kisses. She is all love. Fergie is still learning how to be a dog. She's not sure what to do with her stuffies, but she really enjoys her chew bones. She will run in the play yard, and she is catching on to the game fetch. Fergie does great in the car and is so interested in all the things going on as she drives by. Oh and her favorite band is Def Leppard while cruising in the car with her human. Please don't forget the drive thru too, because she knows that is where chicken nuggets can be found. Fergie gets along well with other dogs.  Fergie knows some commands, is very smart, and is working on her leash manners.  She listens so intently when people talk to her, and with a few treats, she could learn so many new fun things. Fergie is hoping for a home that has a fenced in yard, maybe a fur sibling, and a human that is home more often than not. She would do best with kids over 10 just because she is still learning not to jump on people. She would love nothing more than to hang out and give all her love to her new family. Hi! I’m  Fernando. I’m just a puppy who is a lap dog. My foster mom says, I’m a big baby and I’m not a lap dog, but who can you believe? I’ll give you lots of kisses while we talk about it. Fernando is a strong boy, who doesn’t know how big he is. He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. He needs an experienced pack leader who will remind him of his manners.  He is very smart and additional training will only take a handful of treats to keep his attention. Fernando enjoys walks, playing with his toys, and getting pets. Running in his yard is a favorite past time of his. He will chase his ball all day! After a fun day of play, the only thing left to do is cuddle with his human. He loves belly rubs and back scratches. He will sit on your lap and give kisses while you enjoy a movie night. Fernando would like to have a family who will be firm but loving. It’s important to have breed experience. He would do best with kids over 12 years old. He would do ok with other dogs with a slow introduction that are the same size or bigger than him. A fenced in yard is a must. Fernando is UTD on vaccines, preventatives, and is neutered. Ford is people and dog friendly. We are unsure of Ford’s house training status, but will be assessing. We would love for Ford to have a home with a fenced in yard. Meet Fred Flintstone: Fred Flintstone is about a 4 year old (as of August 2023) pit mix (best guess) that weighs about 50 pounds. Fred Flintstone had a rough start to his life. A kind woman found him near her home in the south and took him in.  He had clearly not been treated well before and would tuck his head and try to hide with any attempt of touching. Fred Flintstone has been with his foster for about a year and has overcome so much and is so ready for his forever home! Fred Flinstone is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fred Flintstone is a chunky hunk of love that wants nothing more than a comfy place to be a couch potato - lounging is his favorite pastime! Fred Flintstone’s ideal home would be laid back and on the quieter side. He doesn’t prefer loud and rambunctious behavior, so we think he would do best in a home without young children. Fred Flintstone has gotten along well with all of the foster dogs in his home, but he tries to keep away from the puppies or higher energy/hyper dogs. Meet Geddy! Geddy is an adorable 2 year old Lab/Pointer mix (born around 4/19/2021). He is a sweet, lovable, energetic boy that loves to play with toys, especially squeaky toys. Geddy will need a home with a fenced in yard and a family that will spend lots of time with him and is dog knowledgeable with dogs that can be reactiive while eating. He will do best in a family that knows how to keep an excitable dog busy and well exercised. We would recommend children in home should be over 12 as he still has a lot of energy and loves to jump up and show his love. Geddy would benefit from working with a trainer and needs guidance from a "leader of the pack" as he approaches adolescent age. Geddy is up to date on all his shots, is neutered, house trained, and walks well on a leash. Geddy gets along with other dogs with proper introduction. Graphite (along with his siblings Tanner and Sissy) was brought to the rescue by someone who found them on the street near her home. Graphite is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Graphite is very friendly and loves attention from people. He will jump up to get attention and his foster is working with him to stop that habit. Meet Hagrid: Hagrid is a 16 week old (as of November 2, 2023) pit bull terrier mix (best guess). This litter of 3 (Hermione, Harry and Hagrid) are lucky little survivors. Their mama (Penny) was rescued from a southern high kill shelter after she was scheduled for euthanasia. Once in the foster’s home it was discovered that she was pregnant and these 3 little ones were born into a home of love and attention. Hagrid is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Hagrid is your typical happy, curious, playful pup! As a puppy, Hagrid will need some patience while he works on his house training. Hagrid will need a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! Meet Harley: Harley is a 23 week old (as of October 13, 2023) terrier mix (best guess) that weighs about 40 pounds. Mama Cookie’s litter (Sheena, Benny, Harley and Theo) are survivors! Mama Cookie was a family pet until the family grew with a human baby and then she found herself as an outside dog. While living outside, Mama got pregnant and had a litter of 10 sweet babies that she carried off to a safe place to try to care for them.  When our rescue heard of the situation, we went to try to help and were only able to find 4 of her sweet pups. We are committed to this little family and want these survivors to find the best homes! Harley is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. This litter is full of your typical happy, playful, curious, and oh so loving pups! Harley is super sweet, loving, and he loves attention and affection! Meet Hunk: Hunk is about a 3 year old (as of June 2023) american bully mix (best guess) that weighs about 77 pounds. Hunk was a stray in Mississippi and taken in by the local animal control officer where he was then passed on to Charlie's Crusaders. Hunk is currently in a foster home in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Hunk is aware of his dashing good looks, but remains modest and unassuming. He's very affectionate and enjoys a good walk as long as it isn't too fast. Hunk will lie by your feet as you're watching television or surfing the internet. Hunk came to us with a few medical problems, including Heartworms and an elongated soft palette. Both of these have been addressed. Hunk does suffer from dry eyes and will need eye drops for the rest of his life, but treatment is manageable. American Bullys are known for their easy going personalities and Hunk is true to that. Hunk is great with other dogs as well as people. Hunk is house trained to a doggie door. We would love for Hunk to have a home with a fence so he can roam freely. Hunk is up to date on his shots and neutered. Meet Ivory: Ivory is about a year old (as of May 2023) pit mix that weighs about 32 pounds. Ivory was found running around with two other strays in Tennessee. They were taken to a shalter where they were on the list for euthanasia when rescue organizations stepped up to take them in. Ivory came to Charlie’s Crusaders and the other two went to other rescues. Ivory is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Ivory is a very sweet girl that has never met a stranger. She gets along with everyone in the multi dog household that she is being fostered in. Ivory is not destructive and doesn't bark excessively. Ivory is house trained using a doggie door. Ivory will need a home with a fenced in yard. Ivory is up to date on her shots and spayed. She recently tested heartworm positive and had treatment in early May. Meet Jazz: Jazz is about a 3 year old (as of May 2023) terrier (fluff ball) mix that weighs about 13 pounds. This little guy was put up on Craigslist and luckily a rescuer stepped in to make sure he got to a safe home! Jazz is currently in a foster home near Lancaster, PA. Jazz is extremely friendly with people regardless whether they're strangers or family members. Jazz can be a little grumpy with other dogs in the house, but he's getting better in that regard, but still has a way to go. He would do best in a home without other animals, allowing him to get all of the human attention. Jazz seems to have had a rough start to his life and seems unsure of being outside; he will need some patience while working on his house training and experiencing how to be a great family pet. We would love for Jazz to have a home with a fence so he can safely learn the joy of playing outside. Jazz is up to date on his shots and neutered.
