About Ophelia Orchard

Adoption Fee: $325

Just look at those eyes! Ophelia is an amazing little momma dog! She arrived at Brown Paws with her two pups and is enjoying being herself again!
She craves human attention and interaction. Wherever the humans are is where she wants to be, but is also content in her kennel for bedtime. She is playful with our dog and is very interested,  not aggressive, in our cats as well (who really want nothing to do with her!).
Ophelia has little idea what a leash is for, except maybe to keep the humans close to her, but she is beginning to pick up on going where the human leads instead. She is a fast learner and is picking up cues from our resident dog for commands to be obeyed. She has such a desire to please and be loved.
We are 36 hours in and have not heard her voice! She is super quiet, but attentive and will gently ask for attention with eyes or paws.

Ophelia will be the perfect addition to a family that seeks a companion for those quiet activities of life and adding some fun to their routine. She loves to play outside in the grass and then snuggle with a friend.

While we have no clues what her breed might be, the vet thinks she is about 5 yrs old. She was spayed after her puppies were born. She is eager to fins her forever family!

Approx. 3-5 years, spayed female. Weighs about 30 pounds. **Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee.

Meet Chevy! She is a three month old mixed breed pup that arrived from Texas with her sister Cadillac. She has the prettiest hazel eyes.  She is playful, silly and inquisitive like most pups which causes just the right amount of mischief. She is around 20 bs so will be a medium sized pup at full grown (40-50 lbs).   Their mama was a stray and she had several litters while roaming the streets so these two were lucky to get scooped up and brought to Wisconsin to find their families.   She is incredibly sweet And VERY affectionate. Loves some good snuggles with the people. She has met some.kiddos at a few events and has done well.   She still gets mouthy when excited so may need some help learning those boundaries with kids.  She is good with the kitties. She has done well with the doggies too but appreciates a bit of space (out of her face) as she gets to know them. I think this will improve as she continues to settle in and as she gets more doggy socialization. She can be a little feisty with her play style but I expect that to improve as well as she gets more practice.   Doing well with potty training (with a good schedule and lots of chances to go) and doing awesome in the crate (sleeps through the night). We have started leash walking practice as well. She has already shown improvement on leash but gets distracted easily (typical puppy) and sometimes needs some coaxing to keep moving.   She is a wonderful, little pup and will bring loads of love, entertainment and sweet, puppy kisses to her forever home. Her adoption fee is $425 which includes her spay at one of our partner clinics when she is a bit older.   www.brownpawsrescue.com 412177ds **Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee. show less
