If you are in the market for an adorable baby girl who has earned the title of “the best foster we’ve ever had” from her foster family…look no further than Aurora! 😍 This sweet girl is a wonderfully lovable labrador retriever mix of sorts who was born on 11/28/22, so is now 5.5 months old. She currently weighs-in right around 35lbs, so our best estimate is that she’ll be approximately 60-70lbs when fully-grown. Aurora is an absolute doll! 🖤 She sleeps all night long on her dog bed without getting up and asking to go out (+ no accidents!). During the day-time she has also been a rockstar; Aurora was pulled from one of our partner shelters, so potty-training has been a fairly new adventure for her…but she does incredibly well when provided with a consistent schedule/routine. She has been an absolute peach with kennel-training as well! 🍑🙌🏼 She goes in without hesitation, doesn’t complain about cuddling up in there for a nice snooze (whether her people are home or away), and — to her foster family’s knowledge — has yet to let out a bark or whine while crated. When it comes to kids…Aurora LOVES them! 🥰🥰 She has been around children of all ages, and we think her favorite thing ever would be to have at least one kiddo in her forever family to love up on! 377 days = the amount of time that our boy Buddy has spent in boarding. 🥺😭  1,826 days = the amount of time — before boarding — that Buddy spent on a heavy, restrictive chain prior to his rescue. Outdoors. Completely ignored. Nameless. Hungry. Wearing a collar that was much too small for him, which (as he grew) wound up embedded in his neck. 😢  Buddy’s past is a heartbreaking one. Will he take a special and patient family? Yes! And will he have some additional hurdles to conquer in a home that other pups [who haven’t been abused and neglected in their past] don’t? Absolutely, yes. While he may be one of our longest-term dogs, we are confident his perfect home is out there. And they’re waiting for him, too! Meet Charlie Daniels! 🥰🎶 This handsome lad is a 2 year old German shepherd/unknown mix who weighs in @ 65lbs. He is hoping to score a forever family of his own! Charlie was found as a stray down in Houston, TX…laying next to his deceased doggy friend who he didn’t want to leave. 😭😢 We don’t know what his past held up to that point, but we have promised him a future FULL of forever love. 💙 Charlie absolutely adores other dogs, and is also excellent with kids! In his foster home he lives with a 7 year old and an 11 month old baby…and he loves them equally. 🥰 Kiddos aside, other dogs are his favorite thing! He just chills with the 15 year old resident vizsla, but will be a wrestle maniac with his bestest buddy — a 2 year old husky who lives next door. 🙃 He really follows the lead of other dogs, so would love another pup in the home to observe + play with. Charlie is cat-friendly, and will sometimes attempt to make passes at playing with the kitty…but is polite and walks away if he gets shut down! He is crate-trained and does wonderfully when kenneled: no barking or whining. In fact, he rarely ever barks! Charlie does tend to prefer females over males and is a bit shy/timid around his foster dad, but overall does great when meeting new humans…which he does best when on-leash. He loves leash walks and is incredibly docile and friendly! He is potty-trained, with a bit of transition time likely when moving into a new home. Hi everyone! My name is Evita (female). 🥰🤍 I am a 4-5 month old husky/shepherd mix who is all puppy! I am currently about 20lbs and am quickly learning about that thing called potty-training! I have also been doing very well in my kennel. I did have a few accidents when I first arrived to my foster home (everything was new for me!), but since then have really been catching on quickly. I’m a smart girl! I love to run, romp, and play with the other dogs in my foster home — it’s so much fun! However I do prefer that they stay away from my feeding area, so my foster dad feeds me in my own private space. Some of my favorite things include: zoomies, food & treats, people, and toys. 😍 Baths are not really my favorite, but — since I occasionally like to roll in the dirt 🙈 — my foster dad says I sometimes do need them! I am generally a quiet girl. Lewi-Lewi! 🫶🏼🫶🏼 How can you *not* smile when looking at this handsome, hunky lug!? 😍 Lewi (male, aka Lewis) is one of mama Lilith’s litter who joined us from a shelter in Texas when they were just days old. He is the last of his siblings to find their forever, and we just can’t seem to understand why 🥺…he is the PERFECT, smooshy pile of love! Lewi was born on 9/28/22, so is now just under 8 months old. He is a solid, stocky boy and weighs right around 60-65lbs. He looks so much like his mama (we’ll post a photo of her in the comments), and has her incredibly loving and laid-back personality. Our best guess is that he’s a mastiff/bully mix of sorts…with a possibility of some dane/rottie thrown in? Regardless of his makeup, Lewi is so.insanely.sweet. This boy LOVES people! He’s never met a stranger, and is an incredible cuddler. Even though he’s not all too little, his favorite snuggle spot is as the little spoon. 🙃 He loves belly rubs/tickles, and is totally content to lounge the day away with you. Lewi is completely potty-trained (🙌🏼🙌🏼) and crate-trained, although also does just fine + sleeps through the night when left out of his kennel. He loves other dogs, and loves to play with them and/or his toys! He’d do just fine with kitties if provided the proper introduction, and also loves kids. Seriously…with his lovable demeanor and those kissable cheeks, this boy is a catch! 💙 He would love nothing more than a family to [finally] call his own. Lilly is beyond sweet, has definite smarts, and is SUCH a little love! 🥰 She walks very nicely on-leash, and would love an adventurous person/family to take her on plenty of walks! She is fast runner, and loves to run + play in the backyard. Playing fetch is her favorite! 🎾 And once she’s done playing, she loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with her person! Lilly is crate-trained and kennels nicely and cooperatively. However she also does fine (& is not destructive) if left out of her crate when her people aren’t home. She’s been working hard on her potty-training, and will require some transition time as she moves into a new home. However she really excels and picks up the routine quickly when provided a solid schedule with frequent breaks! Lilly’s loving personality leaves nothing to be desired…she is gentle, obedient, playful, and happy. A true darling! She does great with other dogs, and loves to play. She does tend to gravitate a bit more toward other laid-back/easy-going pups. She’d also do fine as your one & only! To our knowledge she has not yet met kitties, so we can’t attest — as of right now — to how she’d do with them. Lilly loves humans of all ages, and loves making new friends. This lovable lady is Luna, and she is in the market for a forever family she can call her own! 😍 Luna (female) is a 2.5 year old silver lab who found herself surrendered to us when her previous family was unable to provide her with the care and attention she needed. Luna has an issue with her thyroid that causes hair loss. After a few vet visits, she is now on daily maintenance medication and her thyroid levels have improved drastically! Her fur is slowly (but surely!) growing back, she’s much less itchy (to note – she has never been contagious!), and is now able to enjoy life to the fullest. 💜   Luna is an absolute LOVE! Small dog lovers: this guy is for YOU! 😍 This ever-so-adorable little man is Petrie, and he is crossing his paws that his forever family soon finds him! 🤞🏼🐾 Petrie (male) is a 6 month old dachshund/Jack Russell terrier mix who found himself in a local shelter after he was abandoned in a camper…where he was left to fend for himself for an undetermined amount of time. 😭 He is just a peanut @ 10lbs! Petrie is a sweet boy who asks for nothing more than the love and affection of his people. He craves attention…and we really can’t say we blame him, after the circumstances he found himself in. 🥺 He love-love-LOVES to cuddle! On your lap, snuggled into your neck, wrapped up in a blanket, or curled up on the footrest…he says YES to all of it! All he asks for is to be loved on. 🥰 He is crate-trained and does very well in his kennel. When it comes to his potty-training, Petrie is a work-in-progress. We don’t know what his schedule looked like previously, but can guess that he was never provided with a consistent routine. He will need lots of continued patience, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of positive reinforcement from his family as he learns to be successful with his housebreaking. Petrie has been around kiddos as young as 1 and done great! He can be a bit sheepish and does best when people approach him slowly, so would appreciate children who are not immediately up his face. Once he warms up, he is nothing but a lover! He is dog-friendly (keep in mind his smaller size!) and would do just fine with kitties if provided the proper introduction. He is truly a sweetheart who doesn’t deserve the unfair shake he’s been given in his life so far. But we know his journey will only be good from here on out! Rosie needs our help. 🥺🙏🏼 This pretty lady was rescued from an unsafe situation, and unfortunately the home life she’s currently in is just not her ideal environment. She will need a patient person/family to work with her, allow her to trust (& continue to build upon her trust + confidence), and help her to live her very best life! From what we can piece together, Rosie has spent her whole life in a kennel and/or within the humane society. She is 1.5 years old, 50lbs, and is a gorgeous pittie mix of sorts. Rosie is skittish around men, so any males in the home will need to be patient, loving, and calm with her. Over the last few months, she has definitely improved with the two men in her current home! She definitely just takes to girls more. 🥰 Rosie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She loves to play with other dogs, and has run + wrestled around with the resident dog where she’s temporarily placed. She is cat-friendly! She sleeps in her kennel at night (although she’d MUCH prefer to sleep with you! 😍), and crates nicely while her people are away. We would highly recommend a fenced-in backyard; she can potty on a tie-out, but with her timidness she should not be allowed to roam free in the yard without being back-tied. Any kids in the home should be old enough to understand her needs and respect her space (age 10-ish+). This sweet, snuggly, most-lovable girl is Snickers (aka Snickerdoodle), and she just happens to be in the market for a forever family of her own! 🤍💕 Snickers (female) is a 2-2.5 year old pittie-girl who is a HUGE lover with lots of kisses to give! 😍 She weighs 60lbs, but — in typical pittie-fashion — is lots of muscle! 💪🏼 She is so.so.so sweet and adores her people more than anything…kids included! Snickers is currently being fostered in a home with children, and she couldn’t adore them more. 🥹 She’d love having kiddos in her forever home! Snickers enjoys taking toys/bones (her favs!) into her kennel to hang out when her people are home…but once her people leave [& the kennel door is shut], she is a bit of a houdini and tends to escape. But the good news: she does totally fine when left out in the house and isn’t destructive! She is completely potty-trained (with a bit of transition time to be expected in a new home, of course). She’s super gentle taking treats, and her all-time favorite place is curled up right next to (or on top of 😉) her human(s). She also likes to eat laying down…which is the cutest thing! Snickers did have a tiff with a small dog in her previous placement, so does need a home without small dogs and/or other small animals. She does just fine with pups her size! A fenced-in yard isn’t required (in fact, she can scale a 4ft chain-link fence if she wants to 🙃), but is a perk she’d love…so she can romp, sniff, and explore. She’s truly the biggest sweetie!
