About Delores

Adoption Fee: $350

What is cute, red, and weighs 13 lbs? Delores! 😂😂😂 Ok, so that wasn’t funny but sadly her story is not funny either. She was born in a puppy mill, lived her who life in a box without human attention, walking on grass, playing with toys, or even being a puppy. She’s a nervous little girl who will need time, love, and tenderness. She is comforted when she’s held tight. Delores needs a confident dog to show her the ropes of being a pet. Can you give Delores a chance to blossom? Helping a mill dog to become a pet is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do.

-These dogs have been living in cages together so they NEED another confident dog in the home.

-Since they have been living in a cage, they will most likely not be house trained.

-They most likely have no experience on leash. A fence is a plus, they would still need to be on leash in a fenced in area for safety until they are comfortable in their home. A fence is not required but a tip for getting them use to the leash and their safety is double leashing since they could be flight risks.

-It will take a little time to warm up and learn how to be a dog. They will need patience when learning to live inside and learning to love.

If you are interested in adopting her, please submit an application at crossyourpaws.com!

Hi guys! My name is Bella. I am going to be 2 in October, but I came from a rescue so nobody knows exactly what day my birthday is. :( I’m around 90-100 pounds, and it’s basically all muscle. I loveeee to run outside and play with my best fur buddy, rizzo. she’s a little dog so I have to be gentle when we play. It took me a little time to get used to her small size because I used to live with 2 other big dogs, but I was able to adjust my playful ways. I am somewhat housetrained, but  sometimes when my owner leaves I poop in the house if she doesn’t put me in my crate. I go in my crate when I am told (just when my owner goes to work). Sometimes I like to bark because I don’t like being left all alone. I’m not too sure how I feel about cats. I think I’m  a bit too energetic because I like to play rougher than cats do. I’m good with kids, but it takes me time to get used to them if they’re very excited and wanna play with me. I have really bad anxiety so new people take a little bit of time to get used to. I was spayed as a puppy as well as microchipped 🙂 My favorite things to do are running and playing outside… ALLL the time!! I love going to get pup cups (whipped cream) from starbucks and dunkin with my owner… I think my owners addicted because we always go.. but i’m not complaining😋 I am also the BEST cuddle buddy ever. I don’t have my own bed because my owner lets me sleep with her. For some reason I chew up all my toys, i think it’s just because I wanna see how messy I can make the house, so my owner only buys me bones. When I’m outside I like to play with sticks, but be careful cause sometimes I try and chew those up too. I don’t like being alone for a long time because I get scared. I don’t really like loud noises either, they make me bark, but other than that I could be your bestest friend FURever. These two sweethearts are looking for their forever home. They would love to find a home together. Ender was just 8 weeks old in August of 2020 when he was adopted from us. He was a playmate for Maeby who had been adopted in 2019. They have grown up together. Mabey is a female almost 4 years old. She is a little large than Ender. Ender is a male almost 3 years old thought to be a rat terrier. They have lived with their family since they were puppies. We hope to find them a home where they can still be together. They are around  9 weeks old.  They are small breed mixes. Most dogs taken from the home were rat terriers. Rhu-Ro there looking for my own forever family!  My foster dad named me Butch.  I am a darker brindle color with a little white on my chest.  They say I am about 6 months old and not neutered yet.  I am about 20.2 pounds now and on the taller size of a large terrier mix.  I am getting more comfortable  now.  I get along with my brother and the other four large dog friends two old men and two girls.  I am unsure about my foster families cats,  I backed off when I first saw them but have tried to chase and will bark at them.  I do okay with my foster kid, she is 6 and sometimes I need to watch my sharp nails and puppy teeth when playing.   I am working on my manners.  I loved my bath.  My foster mom says I can jump and climb like a goat.  I am a bit messy and fast eater, but okay with my foster mom slowing me down.  I need reminders to keep down when jumping up on people or checking out places like the kitchen counter. I am beginning to learn to do certian things when my foster parents say sit, drop it, down, stay and stop what I'm doing if I hear no.  I can walk okay on a leash and working on using a doggie door.  I will let you know if I need to use go outside, if in my crate, but I am still learning to signal I need out when hanging out in house.  I am starting to venture further independently, when outside with my foster family, but listen pretty well when called or come back to feel safe if I get scared.  I love to get pet and have started to play with some great toys.  I will bark if unsure of a sound, new people, see the cat or want out of my crate. show less

Hi My Name is CASH! I Love everyone!!!! I am interested in meeting all the new people when I'm with my Foster Mom... we went everywhere together the day I got a bath. I enjoyed myself so much. I already new I was handsome, but it felt really great having everyone stop just to tell me how handsome i was when they were fussing over me. My Foster mom let's me play with her dogs and I'm super nice to them. I chase cats so a home without them would be best. I have only had one accident in the house but I'm starting to know she wants me to go outside to potty. I sleep in my crate at night and when my foster mom isnt home in a room with all the other dogs ...with the lights out. I bark for about 10 minutes and then I fall asleep. I am 3 years old and weigh about 45-50lbs, and I do need neutered....I love to do everything with my Foster pack. We eat together, play together, and sleep in crates together. I am excited when I first start on a walk but then calm down and listen pretty well. When I am first in a fenced yard I do try to look up to see if I can jump a fence, so I want you to know and can climb a chain link fence if I want to. I can't wait to meet my new family and start making memories together. I'm just as charming as I am handsome, and I will melt your heart. Hi! My official name is Daniel but my foster mom calls me Turbo because I’m so fast! I’m a Shiba Inu and somewhere between 1-2 years old. I’m a sweet boy who has never growled or snarled at my mom or sister, even though I’m very nervous. I came from this place called a puppy mill and I wouldn't recommend going to one of those, even if you were my worst enemy. It wass really scary there, and I had no positive human interactions. Because of that, I'm pretty skittish. I need a compassionate and patient human or family to take me in. I love my foster sister (a pittie) a lot. She’s taught me how to play and it’s so much fun! I love stuffed toys, especially ones with squeakers in them! I look up my foster sister a lot and follow her lead. I need to have another pet in the home, preferably a female dog, but I'm open to meeting male dogs too. My people at CYP will give preference to someone with a fenced in yard that I can't escape from (like a fence with wide gaps). I'm small enough to get through an XL crate, which only opens 5" at most.  Speaking of crates, I don't love them. When I was in the puppy mill, I was shoved in a crate with a handful of other dogs for over a year. I didn't even get to go outside. Now, my foster mom takes me out all day long! In my new home, I'd prefer to have a room to myself when my humans are away. My foster mom did try crating me at first, but I ran away as best I could. The times she was able to get me into my crate, I shut down and wasn't myself after she returned home to let me out. Like I said, I need a patient and caring person to take care of me. Unlike others from my breed, I really enjoy food. My foster mom made me a frozen kong with banana and peanut butter that I really loved. I also like plain crackers, unseasoned cooked hamburger meat, cheese, turkey lunch meat, and some fruit. I mostly eat dog food, but my foster mom sometimes gives me the really good stuff to try and get me to bond with her...haha sucker!  Because of my time in the puppy mill, I need to have another dog in my home in order to feel safe and comfortable. I would probably do best in a home with older kids, as I think they’d be able to best respect my bouandries. I’m also potty trained! If you’re looking for a handsome boy to tire out your resident dog, I’m your guy! I have lots of energy since I'm still pretty young, but I tire out pretty quickly. Could you be my forever family?! I sure hope so! Can’t wait to meet you!!! (ps: bring treats 😉) show less
