LOOKING FOR MY PUDDIN!

You can't have heroes without villians.... Hello, we are a super group here to find super homes! We are Aquaman, Batman, Elektra, Harley Quinn, Ivy, Joker, Mystique, Pepper Potts, Selina, Superman, Thor, and Vixen. We are said to be a quite powerful mix of English Pointer, German Shepherd, and Pit Bull. We are still coming in to our full powers, but with humans to train us, we'll be mighty fine additions to the family.

If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. I will be 8 weeks old and ready to go to my new home on 5/26. I can be pre-adopted in the meantime, so don't delay, superheros are a rare breed!

Reeling you in for the biggest catch of your life! Hi,I'm Angler! I'm your typical pup: fun, playful, loving, and deserving of all the treats! I'm stil getting the hang of walking on a leash but I will do anything for a treat, so training will be easy-peesy! There may be other fish in the sea, but none as cute and adorable as us!  The results are in! Our breed test show we are 27% American Pit Bull Terrier, 25% German Shepherd, 12% American Staffordshire Terrier, 11% Bloodhound, 8% Labrador Retriever, 5% American Bulldog, 4% Boxer, 4% Basset Hound, 2% Boston Terrier, and 2% Chow Chow! Which equals out to be 100% very good dogs! To apply to adopt from Polk County Humane Society, you can use the adoption application, process and links that you will find on this page: polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have a meet & greet scheduled, so be sure you have looked at our adoption process, completed the adoption application and use the link on that page to request an appointment before you come to the Humane Society. Our adoption application form is simple and there is a place for you to ask any questions you have about our pets on the form. We look forward to receiving your adoption application and setting up a meet and greet soon. show less

Hey I'm Cassie! I'm a sweet, goofy, playful girl and I'm so ready to find a forever family! I love everyone- dogs, cats, kids, chickens- everyone! I like to carry things around in my mouth, cuddle on the couch, and show off my really cute underbite :) How could you resist?! You might be wondering why I'm showing up under Golden Retreiver. Well . . . that's because one of my siblings was breed tested and we are 1/2 Golden Retreiver. My other half is mostly Bulldog. We all look the same, so the people at the Humane Society were caught off guard. How could they have guessed that??? I certainly have the sweetness of my two primary breeds. And, won't you have fun having all your friends guess what I am. My littermate's breed test showed only 5 different dog breeds! I am 51% Golden Retriever, 32% American Bulldog, 15% Bulldog, 1% Boxer, and 1% American Staffordshire Terrier! How cool is that?!  To apply to adopt from Polk County Humane Society, you can use the adoption application, process and links that you will find on this page: polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt.
