It’s time you all met Ada. Rescued from a local animal shelter, this baby girl was covered head to toe in non contagious demodex. When she got to PIPs all she wanted was to snuggle and sleep; she’d obviously been through so much. Now on her road to recovery, Ada is blossoming into the beautiful social butterfly she was meant to be! For 4-5 months old she is petite, quiet (except when playing) and very loving. Her personality is becoming as sweet as her face. She seeks out playtime with her foster siblings but still loves a good, snuggly nap. Meet Alana She is the sweetest girl. ALWAYS excited when you walk into the room or when she "finds" you in the yard. By watching her, you wouldn't know she has vision issues, but she does. She was born blind (though we do think she has some degree of visions, maybe lights / darks or can see some more solid objects. It doesn't slow her down. She loves to explore the yard or curl up at my feet while I am working. She is working on the art of cuddles, as I don't think in her life before PIPs, she got many opportunities to cuddle. She does like other dogs but needs to trust them before she will play with them. She is pretty much house trained (just a few accidents) and most of the time she sleeps well in her crate. She is learning some basics like walking on a leash but she is very motivated so is a dream to train.  Sally Said So, a great trainer in the NC area, has agreed to do a training session with the adopters to set everyone up for success.  Meet Alana, pipsrescue.org/adopt show less

My name is Ava, but my foster family calls me Ava Moon .   I only lived in the backyard at my first home and my foster family has worked really hard to get me comfortable living in a home, so I need a family that has lots of love and patience to give, but I really like to learn, especially with treats as rewards. The one thing I adore about this inside place is getting to  cuddle up with my people, big and small. Meet Eddie! Eddie is a 100+ pound german shepherd mix who doesn’t know he isn’t a lapdog. He is neutered, UTD on all his shots/meds & housebroken. He does love going for a walk, but his true love is a tennis ball. He’s still working on bringing it back, but chase is the most fun, right? Eddie would do best in a home without small kids just because of his size, but he gets along with the older kids that he’s met as well as dogs in his current foster home. He is indifferent to the cat, aside from his love of her food.  Eddie was found as a stray and he had a couple of seizures when he was first found. He is now on medication twice a day (which he takes as a treat) and has not had a seizure in over 6 months.  Eddie is a medium to low energy dog, who wants all the snuggles & treats, and an occasional stroll around the neighborhood. Hi there my name is Gatsby. I am a very strong minded guy, it makes up for me not having the full use of my back legs. However don't let that fool you I can still run circles around you! I love to go on walks, but sometimes I get tired so I really enjoy riding in a stroller. I really love meaty chews, because I want to put my mouth on everything and my foster mom doesn't like it when I put my mouth on her she says I have little shark teeth. I am looking for someone really special to take me home. I need someone who will be patient and willing to put the time into me, treat me like the little king that I am. George is an amazing dog   He is full trained and super goofy. More than anything, he loves to play fetch -  literally his favorite things besides sitting on the couch watching a movie! George is kennel trained and does well free roam as well with no issues!  can be around dogs and cats! While he gets along with most dogs he meets, he will do better in a home where the other dogs understands he is the top dog! Other dogs in the home should be on the more submissive or on the indifferent side. George would also do well being the only child where he gets all the attention and play. Meet Koa. She always has a smile on her face and is happy to be with you. She finds all the good sun spots to sunbathe and enjoys exploring the yard. She gets very excited when you pet or talk with her. She loves people and also enjoys dogs and will roll on her back to play. She was born with visions issues, but don't let that stop you from meeting this sweet girl. She gets around just fine and we do think she has some vision. She is almost 100% potty trained and does well in a crate. She is fostered in a multi dog household with different sizes and does well with them all. Hello, my name is Korra! I am a two-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd with lots of energy. I love cuddles and I love my humans even more. I would do best in home without other animals or small children as I love all the attention. I love to play with my toys and am always up for a good game of tug-o-war. I love to play ball with my human, and it is one of my favorite pastimes. I do have megaesophagus, but that doesn't slow me down a bit. My kibble just needs to be soaked and I must sit in my highchair to eat. Otherwise, I am a normal healthy pup. I am adorable in my chair and often fall asleep after getting my belly full. Lilly is an incredibly sweet and spirited girl! She doesn’t let her age stop her and she LOVES to play with puppies (which isn’t surprising, since she has spent her whole life raising them!). Lilly is extremely comfortable in new situations and instantly loves any person or dog that she meets. She loves to play with toys, lay in a dog bed and go on walks. She is potty trained, leash trained and crate trained (though she prefers a dog bed and isn’t destructive when left out of the crate). She truly is the perfect girl! No really. She has zero flaws. Lilly has so much love to give and she’s so excited to find a family to love her and let her live out her golden years. Lilly is said to chase cats (she just wants to play!), so she would do best in a cat free home. She gets car sick (nothing a little medicine can’t fix) so she would prefer a home that doesn’t have her traveling a lot. No worries though, all she needs is a window to look out of and she’s good!
