Meet Babka and his siblings! They were being sold on Skid row.. Thankfully, we were able to rescue them and make sure they are taken care of and find the best homes possible! Babka and the puppies are about 5/6 weeks old and will ready for their forever homes in about 2 weeks! Our best guess is that they are a pit mix and will be about 65 pounds at maturity. Please consider filling out an application and adding this sweet little one to your family! show less

Bailey is still waiting. This lovely, middle-aged girl had become depressed and shut down at the shelter. It’s almost like she knew her chance of making it out. alive was not so great. But when we saw her face, we knew we wanted to help. She’s now in a loving foster home and proving herself to be a very good dog. She’s kid friendly, housetrained, and walks nicely on leash. She’s fine with other large dogs as long as there’s a proper introduction. (She was kenneled with another dog at the shelter.) She does have a little bit of prey drive, so we recommend no small animals in her forever home. We believe she is a lab shepherd mix and she’s roughly 90 pounds. Bizkit is a perfect boy with a beautiful smile. He’s been with us a while and, his fosters were thinking of keeping him. But due to a drastic change in their schedules, they decided that he would do better in another home that has more time to spare. He is a 50 lbs two year old pitbull mix who we rescued from the shelter with a badly broken leg. His leg has been expertly repaired and he’s good as new. He is housetrained I’m good with both big and little dogs. He’s playful and very loving and deserves a forever home to call his own.  show less

This is Charlie (aka Coco!) This guy spent 208 days in a very rural shelter with very little foot traffic. On the 208th day, he broke out in an autoimmune skin disorder. Our amazing friend took him home so he could recover in a safe and loving environment. Now he has made his way to a great foster home here in Los Angeles! He is a gentle and mellow soul, we think he is between 3-4 years old, he is dog and cat friendy! He does have a little hip dysplasia but it doesnt slow him down. He is on supplements for that along with a good diet. We are hoping his auto immune and hip issues don't deter an amazing home from welcoming him and giving him a great life. Meet Chase!  Such an easy dog in so many ways. We wish people would see past his “stranger danger” issues and give him a chance. He’s a six-year-old boy who does great with all dogs from 5 pounds to 85 pounds. He is house trained, walks well on leash and is not destructive in the home.  Chase: I know I may be a little weird, I know I may be nervous around new people, and I know someone’s gonna need some patience getting to know me. But, once they do they’ll see I am a great guy. I’m good with all dogs, I have zero anxiety, I love sleeping in my crate, I love going for walks, I love just laying around the house. I don’t destroy anything, I have no bad habits. I’m just a good guy who is a little weird. I’m hoping that my person sees this post and opens their heart to a dog that may not be perfect but is pretty damn close. show less

Jackie has been with us a long while and is way overdue for a forever home of her own.  This is gorgeous, highly intelligent and sensitive dog has been spending some quality time with Darian to work on the nervousness she feels when meeting new people. I’m sure anyone with some social anxiety can relate (new people can be scary!). It’s not a big deal, and it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. It just requires the right person to help her feel safe and comfortable when meeting people. Darian came up with a greeting protocol for her which has been very helpful. So, when meeting Jackie for the first time, you offer her a treat, ask her to sit and down, and then take her for a quick walk to the corner and back. That’s pretty much all it takes to get this girl to know that you’re A-OK. Once Jackie gets to know you she’s truly the sweetest most loving dog. And - she is excellent with other dogs both large and small. She has been a foster here with me and @saschasudikova and done well in both homes. She is a three year old, heeler mix who is housetrained and crate trained. She loves going for hikes and lounging by your feet. Her perfect home would have someone that’s familiar with the breed and is open to working with a shy dog. She would also have another balanced dog to romp and play with. She is easy-going and has medium energy is so a nice long walk in the morning or a gentle hike would be great and if he walks in the neighborhood during the day. A quieter home with no kids under 13 would probably be best. She was rescued from death row at the 11th hour (literally). We really ❤️ this girl and can’t wait to see her in the perfect home. She truly deserves it.  show less

Meet Leo! This guy was brought to our attention due to his extreme wounds. He was found as a stray and was suffering from multiple serious wounds. The shelter vet did a great job at taking care of him and patching him up! He currently has over 400 staples and stitches. But as we all know, a shelter is not a place for an injured dog. When they reached out to us, we wouldnt say no! He has a follow up appointment with our vet today to get checked out!  Thanks to our friends at AmeliaAir, they flew him from Porterville here to us in LA. He is in a great foster home with another dog and they have already become friends. Leo is super dog and people friendly, he is such a sweet boy and has a happy disposition depite of all that he's been through! He is gentle, well behaived, puts himself to bed everynight in his crate and is house trained as well! He's got a long road to recovery but he is the perfect family dog and will make a great companion to anyone! Please consider taking this kind soul into your home! show less

Meet Oslo!  This cute little mix was one of hundreds of dogs that run loose in the desert. He was sadly hit by a car and suffered a badly broken leg. Luckily, he was scooped up and was able to recieve life saving care. He is a special boy, about 1.5 years old and 18 pounds. He is playful and has fun puppy energy! He can be shy around new humans but once he warms up to you-youre in and he will be your best friend! His foster family describes him as a total sweetheart and is great with dogs and cats alike! We are not sure what his mix is-but he is a cutie and deserves a safe and loving home!! Please considering adding this sweet guy to your family! show less
