The one and only ALLI girl! She is living her life to the fullest right now in Tampa, FL.  Alli is ALWAYS happy and she loves everyone and everything.  This dog is going to make someone's life better for sure becuase she has something about her that we cannot put into words. She is very well behaved and playful and extemely fun.  Alli loves to snuggle and hug nonstop until she melts to the floor for more scratches and belly rubs.  This girl loves everyone she meets and quickly got over her shyness with meeting new people. Hugs, love, and treats fix about anything! Alli is very dog friendly and we find it easy to introduce her to new dogs of all kinds. She doesn't seem to care about chickens or pigs she sees on the other side of the fence.  Alli isn't phased by the dogs that act like maniacs and try to bark at her, she could care or less! We would love for her to have another dog in her forever home as it does seem to help her a lot to have a buddy.  As far as kids, she hasn't met any yet but we will work on that. We expect she would do fine but we will update once we know more.  Alli came from a 65 dog neglect case and was in horrible shape. She was emaciated and her spirit was defeated.  Her bloodwork showed that she was extremely anemic and that caused her to be lethargic and not feel well. Both of her ears were infected along with dermitis and hair loss. After about 3 weeks we were able to get her healthy enough to be spayed so she can no longer be a puppy making machine and she is thrilled about that!  Her transformation has been so impressive and an inspiration. With that said we are not sure if she is house trained but she does keep a fairly clean kennel space.  She is so good that her beds and toys don't explode into puff like they do with some dogs! This girl really loves her meals and treats and will wag her tail and body back and forth with total excitement. She gives the best hugs too and will wrap her little arm around you with all the love she has. Her Rescue Story: Alli was part of a recent case in Florida involving 60+ dogs needing rescue. Photo from intake is included.  You can read about where she came from in this story: https://www.winknews.com/2022/08/09/65-dogs-removed-from-neglectful-clewiston-home/?fbclid=IwAR3xnewutPwkjfpywEVeGWNn7KkqUNVTXEVVJlTFk4WZRj6ftsbDP3pCayA&fs=e&s=cl show less

Beth was rescued from the rural dirt roads of south Miami on 12/08/22 and instantly gave kisses to her the volunteer who picked her up! This girl is about 3 to 4 years old and has a ton of personality. She is extremely loving and affectionate even after being thrown out like trash by people she trusted. She recently had puppies as she is still producing milk, so we all hope they are ok and end up in the right hands. At least we know that Beth will never have to worry about where her next meal will come from ever again. This girl has a ton of confidence, and we know she is going to make a great pet to her next family. She knows the basic commands and has good manners as well. We are working on her socialization with other dogs but have not introduced her without boundaries yet. She is making great progress so far and will update as we learn more. Beth has a lot of spunk and energy and will need an active home to keep her busy. So far she loves to venture out and is curious about everything and every smell she comes across! Beth is officially spayed now and no longer responsible for make puppies! She is ready for a foster or adopt home where she can get all the lovins she can take.  We have learned that she really enjoys going on walks and checking things out on the property.  Now that she has been with us a few weeks we found that she loves her toys!! She gets frisky and hops around playing with all her stuffies.  She also keeps a very clean space and doesn't destroy her bed or belongings.  She is an easy girl although needs a firm parent as she is a typical confident female that needs those dogo boundaries!  She has been nothing but a joy with the staff and was also great at the vet, they adored her too!! show less

💙WELCOME BRUNO 💙 Bruno was rescued from West LA Shelter in Los Angeles CA with his mama Lola (we suspect!). They shared a kennel for 8 long months, cuddled on a cold concrete floor waiting for help 😢 Thank goodness for our AMAZING foster, who took them both in and has helped them remember what it's like to be dogs again! They are living the PNW dream!🌦️ 🧢After decompression and evaluation, we feel the best thing for Bruno and Lola is to adopt them separately. They have been successfully separated and are enjoying one on one human time! 🧢 🔵 Bruno is a stoic boy at about 2️⃣(ish) years old. He is still gaining confidence and understanding of what life outside of bars looks like! He is loving and silly! 🚙Bruno's FAVORITE activity is riding in a side by side with his foster dad🚙. He'll jump right in and enjoy the ride! He has been working on his basic commands, leash walking and also loves hiking! He is an absolutely GORGEOUS boy that has waited for his forever him for long enough!! Bruno would do best in a home WITHOUT other dogs, with a human that loves to exercise and understands and has patience for him. And owner MUST have an off roading vehicle!!! Kidding, but that would be a major plus! 🍃 🌀This sweet boy will require ongoing training and understanding that he does not do great with other dogs. He does have some leash reactivity to dogs that his foster is working on. He has been around farm animals and enjoys being outside. He is devoted and loyal and loves his humans. 🤟🏽Please consider adopting Bruno and giving him the life he has always dreamed of! 🚗 Bruno will be your shotgun rider for life!🚙 show less

We rescued Gina from a rural shelter after she was found roaming the woods with another Dogo, Tommy. Gina was a hot mess - heartworm positive, pregnant, emaciated with a yellow stained coat. Her first few weeks in rescue were tough on Gina as she had to be separated from her best friend Tommy, and then heartbreakingly lost her entire litter of puppies. Despite Gina's traumatic few weeks, nowadays she is the happiest girl in the world. Reunited with Tommy, they are both being fostered in the Atlanta suburbs where they spend their days playing with their dozens of toys, napping on their soft and comfy beds, and digging in the yard searching for moles. Gina loves her people and would happily spend all of her time with her humans, and she is so affectionate - this girl gives the best hugs!! Gina is well behaved and trained in basic commands. Gina's ideal home would be somewhere Tommy would be welcome, too (: Although Gina is good with other dogs (with a good intro of course) her ideal home would be one where her and Tommy could be the only dogs - giving their humans ample time to give them both the attention they deserve. Preferably people who like being outdoors, as they both adore spending time outside. No small children, as these two play hard and would knock over anything in their way! Due to Gina's health issues, she is currently going through slow-kill heartworm treatment and will remain intact until our vet deems it safe enough to spay her, Any home interested in her would foster her until this time comes, with all medical expenses being covered by us. show less

We saved Jewel (formerly Harper) from a Houston shelter within hours of her euthansia deadline. She is heartworm positive, has demodex, and suffers from an old gunshot wound to her right front ankle. We think she is about 4 years old, possibly younger and has had a very difficult and rough life so far but it will never be that way again. She is timid and shy to humam touch but we know she will recover over time and come out of her shell as she learns to trust us! Stay tuned for updates and we expect the earliest she would be available for adoption is early June.  Update :Jewell has been in her new foster home for a few months now. Jewell is enjoying the home life and doing well with her foster brother. Jewell loves her daily walks and enjoys swimming in her pool or any water. Jewell would do best in a home that has another confident male dog, so she continues to gain confidence. Jewell has done very well with her foster dog brother and has gain confidence and learn how to be how to be a dog. Jewell is still HW positive and has several tick borne disease but is on treatment and is doing well and is ready for her forever home.    Update on Jewell from her foster mom and dad  Hi, my name is Jewel, or as my foster parents call me Juju, Ju bug, Miss  Sassy Pants or Miss Woo Woo. I am an expert in all things cuddling. I have a big personality but can be timid around new people. Due to my past I can lack confidence at times and look to my big brother and cousins on who I can trust and how to dog. But once I know you and know I can trust you, I will be your shadow and best friend! I love waking my foster parents up in the morning telling them all about my doggo dreams and adventures I had, hence the nick name Miss Sassy Pants and Miss Woo Woo. I really love to talk and express how happy and eager I am to eat and get my morning walk! Yes, despite me being HW+ and having some annoying tick borne diseases (which are being managed with medication) I am an excellent walking/ hiking buddy. Most days we get to walk 4+ miles a day. I have a great nose and eyes for all the critters. I love watching and smelling for them while I walk, it can be exhausting some times but I’m just doing my job! So, needless to say after that kind of activity I become an even better couch potato for the remainder of the day.  I am house trained, know some basic commands and am gentle and aware of my size around little people.  Oh, and how could I forget to mention… I LOVE the water! Lakes, ponds, pools, water bowls… truly whatever I can get to cool myself off. I’m from Houston after all. A girl had to learn how to keep herself cool! My foster parents call me extra because I got my own pool. But I can’t help it, I like what I like! Okay, so back to the matter at hand. If you are looking for a 95lb love bug who will be loyal and loving and potentially throw some sass around from time to time, I’m your girl! Please consider taking a chance on me, I promise you won’t regret it! show less

Hi, I’m Kendall. My foster parents call me Kendy Cane because I’m sweet as candy. I’m also a spicy jalapeño popper…ya know, the best of both worlds! I’m currently located in South Florida. I was found roaming around in the middle of nowhere in the Redlands, FL. I was used to make puppies and then I got dumped and I have no idea why. I’m a really good girl! And not just that, I’m a total knock out beauty. Everyone tells me how stunning I am. And they’re not wrong. For the most part, I’m a low key, nap-loving kinda gal, but I also LOVE to play hard with my foster brother (he’s a Dogo too) and we can get a little crazy sometimes. If he won’t play with me, I just keep myself entertained by zooming around and throwing toys to myself. Speaking of which, I love other dogs, big and small, male and female. I haven’t been tested with cats, but I’ve seen them outside while I’m leashed and I haven’t really reacted. I’ve also been around cows, horses and chickens, and I pretty much ignore them too. I love humans. I love to meet everyone, and giving kisses to humans is one of my favorite things to do. Besides kisses, snuggling is kinda my thing and I’m convinced I’m a lap dog. I adore kids and I do very well around children ages 2 to 10+ but sometimes I forget how big and strong I am, and occasionally I even knock my foster mom off her feet when I’m playing and she’s in my way. Come on silly woman, get out of my way! Did I mention how much I like naps? I like them even more if pillows are involved. OMG, I loove pillows! They’re so smooshy. I’m working on my leash training, and I’ve improved a lot, but I still pull pretty hard. I just get really excited about everything…there’s so much to see and so much to sniff! I’m also working on my commands and I’m doing really well. I can sit, down, stay and more! I also know hand signals. I’m super smart like that. I have a good appetite and I am very motivated by treats (and bananas)! When I see my meals coming, I turn into a ravenous white tornado, spinning in place and jumping with excitement. One time I knocked my food bowl out of my foster dad’s hands, so now I have to sit and wait for my food until my foster parents give me a release command. What a dumb rule. But I’m really good at it! I live for walks. I kinda lose it when I know I’m about to go on a walk. Walks are like…the best (especially if I get to see a squirrel. OMG). Speaking of which, my prey drive is pretty low. I’m very curious about squirrels and birds, but I don’t really go after them. I get really excited for car rides even though I get car sick. Recently, my foster parents have been giving me Meclizine (non-drowsy Dramamine) before car rides and guess what? I haven’t upchucked since! Winning. I’ve had to see the vet a lot lately. But it’s cool, I love going to the vet, and the staff loves me even more! Not to brag, but my vet said she wanted to take me home! I’ve had some infections, inflammation, and leaky butt issues…but I mean, who wouldn’t have issues after being dumped in the middle of nowhere? I’m pretty much all better now, but I may need to have my glands expressed on a regular basis. Yet to be determined. The vet also says I have may have allergies, but they’re really not bad. I’m just a little itchy every now and then. On the Dogo spectrum, I’m on the small side. I weigh about 75lbs but the vet says I should gain a few more pounds. I’m working on it! I have some separation anxiety and I really don’t like to be alone. I cry/whine a lot when I am alone. I mean, who am I going to give kisses to if I am all by myself? The absurdity of it all! So I would love to be in a home where my humans are home most of the time. I don’t bark a whole lot but in true Dogo style, I do whine…a lot! Sometimes for no apparent reason, I just enjoy whining…it’s my thing. There’s so much to love about me, I could just go on forever! But I’ve been told I’m getting a little “wordy” here, so if you have any questions, DC Dogos or my foster parents would be happy to answer them! Xoxo, Kendall show less

This girl is AMAZING!!!  Madison is 7 years old and a distinguished former mama dog who still loves to get spunky and play.  She is extremely loving and affectionate and really enjoys quality time with people. This girl would be a good dogo for a first time dogo parent and no doubt will be a great family addition.  She loves meeting new friends and likes other friendly dogs to play and lounge with in the yard. She is very obedient and great on leash.  Madi is just excited to be here and loves going on walks and car rides.  She would make a great walking buddy and best friend for someone looking for the perfect dogo! She seems to be house trained and keeps a very clean kennel space so we know she has good home manners.  Madi also likes to keep her bed in one piece and take good care of her belongings! She may be a grown adult but Madi has a lot of energy for her age and she is in great shape too. If the foster did not have so many dogs alreay, she would keep this girl! We can't tell you enough how much personality she has and you just have to meet her! She has the perfect level of confidence and knows how to respect fellow dogs and people as well. Madi really is the perfect girl. All we know about Madi is that a couple adopted her from a friend but soon aftewards they had a life change and reached out to us for help.  We were able to bring her into the rescue and glad that we did! show less
