About Daisydoodle
Daisydoodle isa 5 year old Goldendoodle that was turned into a shelter by (yet another) Amish breeder who was "done" with her. She is in a foster home and her foster mom can not say enough wonderful things about her:
"Daisy is truly the most adorable and sweetest dog I have ever met! No amount of attention is enough for her... After what she has been through she is trying to make up for the lack of attention in the past and she loves it so much! She is totally house trained and she gets along fantastic with my dog Clover. In the beginning I would hear a low grumble from her if I was giving her attention and Clover walked up, but that has stopped and she does not resource guard anything. She does not know any basic commands, but we are working on that and have only been successful at sitting about half the time. She is a very good walker but moves in slow motion, probably due to the little bit of extra weight but we are working that off of her. In the beginning she did not react to cats or squirrels when walking, but she has since seen Clover react, so she has started as well, and we are working on that too. She does not like crunchy treats, only soft ones and will only eat small amounts of dry food if I put some broth on it and soften it up and she loves canned wet food. It is thought that she may have only been fed scraps at the Amish breeding place and that's why she is struggling with dog food. Daisy does not get on furniture and we do not encourage it even though Clover is allowed on it because we don't know what the rules will be when she is adopted. She is great with kids, adults and other dogs. She wasn't a jumper until she got around Clover, who is a jumper and now she has started doing it, and yes, we are working on that as well because she is so big and could knock someone down if she jumps on them. Daisy is not a fan of car rides and it's difficult getting her in the car. She paces back and forth in the seat and seems scared, but hopefully that will improve the more she is taken places. I don't know if she is crate trained because I haven't used one but for the most part she does well without it. She has been a little destructive with a few things that are not dog toys but I think that may be the puppy coming out in her that she was never allowed to be when she was a puppy. I have kept things out of her reach, so hopefully she has learned what are toys and what are not. She is definitely not treat motivated because she doesn't even like them that much. Overall Daisy is a sweetheart and would be a wonderful dog for any family"!
