Bunny is THE cutest girl!  She's about 3-4 years old, happy, playful, lots of energy and just perfect. She's good on a leash and in a crate. She's up to date on all appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.  She is  good with other dogs and hasn't been tested with cats. She will be good with respectful children.  A fenced yard would be great for her to get all her zoomies out! Meet Comet!!! This handsome man is looking for his forever home. Comet is as sweet as they come, he loves everyone and everything. He truly loves human attention and wants to be right beside you all the time. Comet was brought in to the shelter as a stray and the people who found him really didn’t want to give him up because he was just that sweet, however their dog wouldn’t accept a new dog at home. So Comet waited and waited on his people to come for him but sadly, no one ever showed up. We had to save Comet, he was so lonely and sad at the shelter.  Comet knows a few tricks already, he knows sit and he goes in his crate when asked, and is a good boy while in it.  He is estimated around 4 years old, heartworm negative, up to date on appropriate vaccines and neutered. Goodwyn is a pure bred good boy! He is easy going, happy to be with you & just thankful to be alive. Goodwyn came into rescue after what appeared to be a long series of unfortunate events. He had severe wounds from a dog attack, was likely hit by a car & who knows what else. His forelimb was unsalvagable & was amputated. We healed his wounds & he was always thankful! He also required FHO surgery. Goodwyn has healed from his horrible past and certainly does not carry it with him. He loves everyone and would be the perfect fit for any home! He is a very easy pet to have. Goodwyn will require life long joint supplements and pain medication as needed. If you're looking for a dog that will fit right in, he is your guy. Lacy came to us a scared, unsocialized young dog with a litter of puppies. In just a matter of days she was happy, she was sleeping in pajamas and wearing sweaters, and thoroughly enjoying all the love from her foster family. She's young, about 18 months, and would love to be in her own home. She is up to date on appropriate vaccines, microchipped, is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, and spayed. She's great with other dogs but does like to chase farm animals. She will need time to adjust to her new environment, change seems to be harder for her than some.  She just becomes very quiet and isolates herself.  But omg when she comes around, she is a love.  Older, respectful children would be better for her. Meet Pablo!!! What a handsome and fun guy! He is already neutered and his ears were previously cropped. He tested well with other dogs but the staff where he boarded for a few hours last week said he didn’t seem too cat friendly. He is heartworm negative and up to date on all appropriate vaccinations and heartworm and flea preventatives. What’s that you say?? People’s favorite Easter candy? No!! It’s little Peep, the dog!! She may not be the Easter candy you were thinking of, but she sure is as sweet as it!!  Meet our new GCAP kid, who might just be the tiniest dog we’ve EVER saved. Peep is LITTLE. She weighs just at 4.5 pounds. All she wants to do is follow you around and sit on the couch.  She’s very sweet and loves to be held and snuggled, but also is a bit sassy. Peep is your typical small dog, tolerates other dogs but lets them know when she’s had enough if they get too rowdy. Peep would do best in a home without children who might accidentally squish her, or who will pick her up constantly.  Peep is around 1-2 years old and is scheduled to be spayed. She's sweet and loves to cuddle but also needs a family who is active. She would love to go on walks or she might even love a running partner! A hiker would be great also.  Riley completed a board and train session with Wes at K9 Justice Dog Training and he found her to be wonderful. He'd be glad to catch you up on her if you're interested. Meet one of our youngest GCAP dogs, Selena!!  Selena is one of the cutest puppies we’ve ever seen! We’re not biased. 😉 We saw this little girl sitting in the shelter and when her hood was up, we knew we needed her!!  Selena is about 12 weeks old and she weighs 22.6 pounds. She checked out very healthy at her first vet visit.  Her foster home says Selena is the best girl. They say she is shy at first and everyone should go slow at first with her but she opens up very quickly. She’s VERY food motivated so this helps her shyness. We think Selena would do best in a home with a dog who enjoys being around other dogs. She met the foster’s other dogs and was intimidated a bit at first but quickly caught on and they couldn’t stop them from playing after that. Selena is a good girl in her kennel and has been sleeping quietly and cleanly throughout the night.  You don’t want to miss out on this pretty puppy!!
