One-year-old Duchess is a sweet, snuggly, and energetic shepherd mix looking for her people! Duchess would make an awesome hiking buddy, and she also loves to wind down from an exciting day with cuddles on the couch. She’s good with kids but due to her size, would do best with large breed-savvy, sturdy kids as she hasn’t quite figured out how big she is. She’s good with dogs of all sizes, and she also does okay with cats, though, she does like to pester them at times (and they make it so easy!).  Like all young pups, Duchess requires mental and physical exercise to keep her happy and healthy, as well as a yard with a 6’ fence. She currently knows sit, lay down, walking on leash, and is working on recall. She would thrive with ongoing training and another playful dog in the home to romp with.  Does this sound like your match made in heaven? I am still fearful of people, but I LOVE dogs! I love to play and play and run! I'm Othello and I'm 6 months old! I had a very rough start to life. I found myself at a kill shelter with my family when I was very young. My siblings and I got very sick with a virus. One of my sisters didn't make it. I was hospitlized with her for days with so many tubes in me to help me live! I luckily got to go home with a great veterinarian that kept nursing me back to health. I'm now big and strong and ready for my own home! show less
