About Gin
(DOB 1/18/2023). Due to Gin's young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).
This little girl, Gin, is a cocktail mix of personality! She is playful, gentle/sweet, social with people, social with other dogs, loves squeaker toys, loves chew toys, loves stuffed toys, is very energetic, is a little shy/timid, add a dash of curiousness & a splash of mischief in her sassy personality! She will melt your heart like an ice cube on a hot day.
Gin can wiggle her tail so fast her whole hind end is swaying side to side in excitement. She has a cute little smile you will see light up her adorable face! She can also pull out those adorable, can't resist puppy dog eyes as well.
Since Gin is a young puppy, we want another dog for in her furever home for socialization, increase confidence, and to play with; she needs the ability to run and play to burn excess energy. A fenced in yard to romp, run and roll is also needed. Even with a playmate and yard, daily walks, on leash, are also very important for young Gin. She will want to learn how to be well behaved meeting other people and dogs, riding in the car, going to new and different places and enjoying the world beyond the fence on a regular basis. Getting good leash manners "mastered" at young age is much easier and it makes for a much more pleasant experience for people and pup down the road as she gets older, bigger and stronger. This also holds true for other basic training so Gin will have good doggie manners. We encourage positive reinforcement group training for puppies as their minds are sponges at this young age, and it's a great bonding experience for both pup and parent!
Gin hasn't had an opportunity, yet, to meet kids or cats. Puppies tend to adapt well to their other furry feline siblings when introduced at a young age. Dog savvy cats quickly teach pups their boundaries. So if done early, Gin should be fine with kitties. For children, we are looking for families with older children. For children we are looking for families with older children (8+ yrs). Young kids and toddlers aren't the best fit as Gin is learing bite inhibition, is teething, potty training and needs older more experienced children. We wouldn't want Gin's sharp baby teeth grabbing little ones fingers, toes, etc. Gin is a happy girl and has a personality that just loves everyone she meets. So, if you are ready to meet her, fill out an application today!
As part of Gin's $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.
