About Loki
(DOB 10/30/2022). Due to Loki's young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).
Loki, is named after an Asgardian God of mischief (that should tell you a little something about her!). Here is what Loki is lookking for, "I would LOVE to be your dog's playmate & companion. After some playtime, I drop from 60 to 0, so a good spot in the sunshine to take a nap, makes my day. Taking a nap with you is an even bigger bonus, and would be one of my favorite pass times. I would enjoy living with older kids who can take me for long walks." If this sounds like the pup for you, read on...
After sleeping soundly through the night in her crate, Loki likes to start her morning routine with some yummy breakfast, a potty break, and playing outside with big dogs. She loves every dog she has met and will definitely wants at least one other furry sibling to play with in her new home. She loves being outside as much as possible to play and run around. Loki will need a home with 4-5ft fenced yard and a little doggie door access would be a cool little benefit.
We are already working with her on structured walks as much as weather allows. Getting that leash training in often and early on is the best way to get Loki used to walking nicely on a leash. She is smart girl and catching on well.
Like most puppies, TOYS are awesome. You can find Loki playing with any variety of toys available. She loves squeaker toys, chew toys, stuffed toys, and just about anything you will give her to play with; remember to switch it up to keep her interest and continue to burn off her energy daily.
We prefer someone with some puppy experience and that will be home a good part of the day, their work/school schedule is flexible. This way at her young age she isn't crated too long. It is also a great time to continue to build manners and confidence. She can be a wee bit shy but warms up quickly. Loki is food/treat motivated and will happily learn tricks or commands with yummy incentives. She's sweet and easily redirected if needed. She is a pleaser and wants you to see what a good girl she is!
As part of Loki’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered. If you have questions about this sweet little girl,
you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Loki, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
