Atka is still waiting. This beautiful, young husky boy joined us several months ago. He had been turned in to the shelter with a badly broken leg. We got him surgery to repair the leg and he’s been recovering with his wonderful foster humans. But now it’s his turn. This dog, friendly, housetrained, and well behaved dog would make a perfect companion for an active family. Please consider Atka!  show less

Bizkit is a perfect boy with a beautiful smile. He’s been with us a while and, his fosters were thinking of keeping him. But due to a drastic change in their schedules, they decided that he would do better in another home that has more time to spare. He is a 50 lbs two year old pitbull mix who we rescued from the shelter with a badly broken leg. His leg has been expertly repaired and he’s good as new. He is housetrained I’m good with both big and little dogs. He’s playful and very loving and deserves a forever home to call his own.  show less

She is anxious and reactive and needs professional help so that she can continue to decompress and learn about her new reality. We will do everything in our power to set this girl up for success in her next chapter. show less

Meet Chase!  Such an easy dog in so many ways. We wish people would see past his “stranger danger” issues and give him a chance. He’s a six-year-old boy who does great with all dogs from 5 pounds to 85 pounds. He is house trained, walks well on leash and is not destructive in the home.  Chase: I know I may be a little weird, I know I may be nervous around new people, and I know someone’s gonna need some patience getting to know me. But, once they do they’ll see I am a great guy. I’m good with all dogs, I have zero anxiety, I love sleeping in my crate, I love going for walks, I love just laying around the house. I don’t destroy anything, I have no bad habits. I’m just a good guy who is a little weird. I’m hoping that my person sees this post and opens their heart to a dog that may not be perfect but is pretty damn close. show less

Clover! Many of you remember the story of this dog who we named Clover. She was turned into the shelter, covered with a thick toxic paint which severely burned a good portion of her skin (swipe with caution). We stepped in to save her and some of you stepped up and donated towards her medical care. She made a full recovery and had some adoption interest. But unfortunately that person retracted their application due to their health issues 😞… That means, a lucky person can throw their hat in the ring for this beautiful dog.  Clover is roughly 2 years old and only about 45 pounds. She is dog friendly, housetrained and walks nicely on leash. She lived here with the Love Leo crew for several weeks and did great with everyone. She’s currently working with @darianthedogtrainer to help her gain some confidence and learn some basic skills. She’s doing great and he said she’s a star pupil. She would do best in a home with calm energy and a yard for her to run around in. Another balanced, calm dog would a good match. We would really love to set this girl up in her forever home for the holidays. After everything she’s been through, she truly deserves nothing but love going forward. show less

Gidget, our mini #malinois is still waiting for her first application. At just 47 pounds and approximately two years old, this girl is extra sweet. She loves every person, big and small. She has a Blvd soft coat and loves being by your side or even sitting in your lap if you’ll let her. We think she would be fine with gentle children. She can be a little intimidated by other dogs, and for that reason, should probably be happiest being an only dog.  show less

Meet Hip-hop. This is very cute little guy was found as a stray and ended up at the shelter. He is now safe in a foster home, and his foster mom says he is the energizer bunny. Playful and outgoing, we think he’s about four months old and possibly a Pomeranian mix. He loves playing with other dogs and we do best in an active home that’s willing to put in some time to train the new pup. We think he’ll be in the 30 pound range at maturity.  show less

Jackie has been with us a long while and is way overdue for a forever home of her own.  This is gorgeous, highly intelligent and sensitive dog has been spending some quality time with Darian to work on the nervousness she feels when meeting new people. I’m sure anyone with some social anxiety can relate (new people can be scary!). It’s not a big deal, and it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. It just requires the right person to help her feel safe and comfortable when meeting people. Darian came up with a greeting protocol for her which has been very helpful. So, when meeting Jackie for the first time, you offer her a treat, ask her to sit and down, and then take her for a quick walk to the corner and back. That’s pretty much all it takes to get this girl to know that you’re A-OK. Once Jackie gets to know you she’s truly the sweetest most loving dog. And - she is excellent with other dogs both large and small. She has been a foster here with me and @saschasudikova and done well in both homes. She is a three year old, heeler mix who is housetrained and crate trained. She loves going for hikes and lounging by your feet. Her perfect home would have someone that’s familiar with the breed and is open to working with a shy dog. She would also have another balanced dog to romp and play with. She is easy-going and has medium energy is so a nice long walk in the morning or a gentle hike would be great and if he walks in the neighborhood during the day. A quieter home with no kids under 13 would probably be best. She was rescued from death row at the 11th hour (literally). We really ❤️ this girl and can’t wait to see her in the perfect home. She truly deserves it.  show less

Meet Kaipo. His name means “the sweetheart” in Hawaiian and that’s just what he is. This tiny, senior gentleman was a victim of a horrible act. Someone decided to pour melted plastic on his head which burned through all the layers on his skull, exposing bone and damaging his eyesight (*but he can still see). We were able to get him transported from Mexico to United States and directly into surgery to have that hole closed and have a much-needed dental done. Unfortunately, due to the rough beginning he had, this little dude doesn’t have any teeth left but that doesn’t stop him at all. Nothing stops him.  He is loving his new life here in Los Angeles and his 2 foster siblings. His hair is growing back, he has pep in his step and he never lost his trust in humans- he craves attention, Kaipo loves all dogs but wants to be the center of attention, he loves all humans, is house trained and is a sweet, easy-going guy. We think he is about about eight- nine years old and weighs roughly 10 pounds. He would make a perfect addition for anyone that wants to give a very special dog a second chance. He loves attention, loves to play with his toys, would love to sit on your lap and snuggle and loves his walks.  After all he has been through he never lost his spirit.   Please adding consider Kaipo to your family. show less
