About Bella

Meet Bella: Bella is guessed to be around 3-4 years old (as of February 2023) and a shepherd mix that weighs about 55 pounds. Bella was being kept outside all of the time without attention being given to her. A neighbor asked to bring her in and feed her and she was surrendered by her owner. Bella is  very, very sweet! She is a bit timid and can be scared easily if you raise your voice. She loves people though and just wants attention and love. Bella is on the chill side and has spent the majority of her time laying around the house. She is crate trained and enjoys spending time lounging in her kennel. Bella listens to commands well and is picking up quickly with training. Bella has been around plenty of people and just wants love and pets from everyone. Bella has been good with the dogs in her foster home (male German Shepherd, male shih tzu, female dachshund). Bella hasn’t spent much time around kids, but the time she has spent with them she has done well and didn’t do anything that would be worrisome, so we think she would do well with children. Bella will need a home with a fenced in yard. Bella is house trained, up to date on her shots and spayed. Bella tested positive for heart worms and will start treatments. If you are interested in adopting this big love, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website ( to fill out an application.

Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Banjo requires a fenced in yard and an active adopter. If you are interested in adopting Banjo, please go to our website at and fill out our adoption application.  show less
