About Fairy Tail Hansel Located in Florida
Adoption Fee: $495.00 - Adult Dogs 1-7 Years (2023 fee)
Hansel has had a rough start to life and did not come into rescue very socialized. But with his foster family, he's really coming out of his shell, and loves both of her dogs and has a sweet and loving temperament once he gets to know you.
He's a bit timid with strangers, but after he warms up, he wants as much attention as can be lavished upon him and is a happy go lucky in attitude. His foster has been working with him on leash walking and good manners (jumping and excitable). He recognizes his crate is a safe place and enters freely and settles nicely. He absolutely adores squeaky toys and frequently runs around the house and yard with them. A home with another dog is very welcome for this guy as he loves playing with and chasing his foster siblings. He has done well dogs of all sizes.
He has become very attached to his foster so any transition for him will be some work and will need a patient home to help him decompress. But he's such a lovebug and sweet dog that it will be worth it.
Hansel does seem to have a bit of prey drive for small things that move, so likely not do well with cats unless it's a very experienced home for management. He is also getting much better about squirrels when walking. He watches them but doesnt lunge like did when he first came into foster.
He LOVES squeaky toys and nyla bones. He is also very treat motivated.
Hansel is crate trained but is also not destructive in the house when left uncrated.
