Brownies are fabulous!  I think I was given the name Brownie for that reason.  I am a little guy who was abandoned in KY, I really don't know why.  Someone took me to a very noisy place with bars. I am a baby and it still hurts my heart.  The people that fed me were very nice but so tired.  I kept hearing them say there was no more room.  I didn't take up much space but I was scared.  The nice people in KY reached out to this amazing rescue called Rescue Outreach to see if anyone would have room for my brother and I.  I was told I would be taking a long road trip to a far away place called WI. The drive was so long, but I am a good puppy and slept most of the time.  When I arrived at this new place, I was given a bath, medication and all the food and water I wanted.  The best part though was all the kisses I could give these nice people.  After I thanked each person for saving me my "foster" mom picked me up.  She is a very nice lady.  My brother and I were given all the freedom outside and inside.  I was too tired the first day and night to do much at all.  Would I be behind bars again soon?  I was scared and so tired so I slept lots the first 24 hrs.  After I had regained some energy, had a few meals (wet and dry food!) and snuggled lots I decided to explore.  My foster mom gave us a HUGE play area in the house and we even get to play outside for the first time in our lives.  I am so happy, my tail is always wagging.  I just love it here.  Foster Mom tells me I am not staying but it will be OK because she is going to find me someone that will cherish me forever, not take me out like garbage.  In the meantime she said it is important I learn to do my business outside so we go out every two hours.  I love it and always go.  I really like the recall game because she sounds so excited and happy when I run to her.  My favorite time though is when she wraps me in a little blanket and snuggles me.  I am only a bit bigger than her hand so she can still do a few things:).   Thank you for caring enough to read about me.  I may not have had a happy beginning but I know I will have a happy future - with you!!   Chico is a sweet feisty teeny tiny chihuahua with a special situation. He is a fully grown 4 pound 1 yr old dude who is healing from his second leg break. He has been in his cast for 8 weeks and has at least 4 more to go.  Then likely some rehabilitation afterwards to gain muscle back and remind him to use his now healed leg. For this reason we are looking for a Foster to Adopt situation. He has been in foster care for said 8 weeks, but he’s ready to start his forever life. Because Chico has proven to have such delicate bones, the last two breaks have been from jumping off of a bed, he will have strict guidelines while looking for his new family to ensure we minimize the break risk.  1) No kids under 10 due to little kids not having enough body-conscious awareness.  This can also be said about adults who move too fast or are not able to subconsciously keep his whereabouts in their mind. Or if your a free-for-all family, he is not your ideal dog.  2) Due to his toothpick bones  - no dogs over 15 pounds (fully grown) or dogs who like to body slam in play.  He loves to play with his foster sisters, and he would encourage rough play but for his safety, this needs to be monitored and controlled. 3) You must be willing to separate and contain him as needed for his safety in your environment, as well as being able to provide stairs and other necessary equipment. This will be discussed further with the foster parents.  This doesn’t have to be a big deal but should give you pause to assess your environment and decide if you have enough space, in your traffic area, to give up for a small kennel and pen area that he can use.  We also don’t want him stuffed in the back room having no contact with others.  4) If, after considering all that, you still are interested in this little apple of our eye, we have one more thing for you to think on. Chico didn’t act like a dog when he first arrived. His Foster family has worked really hard to show and teach him what it is like to be a dog. And he loves his new freedom on life.  Chico is NOT a doll or a baby (even though he loves a good cuddle and to perch on your chest) so if you’re looking for a pocket pet he is not for you.  He needs a family that can keep him physically safe while simultaneously letting him act like a normal dog, as much as possible.  In the end, Chico is just a dog and wants to be a dog. He is long and skinny and jumps like a kangaroo. He’s a very fast little runner, and I suspected once he gets his cast off, he will be hard to catch. He is not potty trained, but consistently goes potty when taken out and seems to howl in his pen when he wants to go out potty. He will also howl when he feels lonely in there or didn’t get enough cuddle time before bed or it’s time for you to wake up!!  He is also a very fussy eater-eek.  He despises the cold, so be prepared to have a few sweaters on hand, and mountains of blankets for him to crawl under, maybe even a dog heating pad in the winter. He was skeptical of strangers at first, but has been warming up quicker as long as they give him time and don’t just swoop him into their arms. To know Citrina is to love her. She is as sweet as she is stunning. She loves receiving pets and scratchies, sitting next to her human and watching the action going on in the room around her. She is a sweetheart and an absolute gem of a kitty. She is being fostered in a home with kids and does well with humans big and small. She is a chatty girl and will have a full back and forth ‘conversation’ with humans. She loves chasing a toy mouse across the floor or ‘teasing’ the kittens by flipping her tail around. It feels like a crime not to mention how unbelievably gorgeous this kitty is. Her eyes need no filter, they look like the gemstone Citrine. She uses the litter box every time. Is fully vetted and ready to be someone’s beloved fur-baby. Animal is Fostered in: Menomonee Falls She is scheduled for alteration on 6/2/2023.  If adopted prior to this date, adopter will sign an alteration contract and submit a $100 reimbursable deposit at the time of alteration.  We ask that the deposit be in the form of a CHECK.   Adopter will be expected to bring the animal to this surgery appointment on day, time and at location scheduled.  If the adopter fails to bring to date of surgery, the deposit will NOT be refunded.  We value the time our Veterinarian's provide us.  We are charged a fee for cancellations or no show appointments.  Missed appointments also delay care that other animals could be receiving. For more information, or to apply for adoption, visit our website at: www.RescueOutreach.com Please note the following will be performed on all animals prior to adoption: Microchip Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed) Heartworm Testing (dogs);    FELV/FIV Testing (cats) Age appropriate CORE vaccines.  Dhpp, Rabies (if old enough)-dog;  CVR, Rabies (if old enough) - cat  - WE DO NOT ADMINISTER BORDETELLA unless indicated.   PLEASE NOTE- puppies and kittens may need to complete vaccination schedule depending on age at time of adoption.   Dewormed All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam.  All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources.  Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found!  Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   show less

HEY!!! CHECK MEOWOUT!!! Cleo here. I use to be an alley cat....okay a barn cat. But some sweet rescue person noticed how great I was and took me in.  I am looking for my forever home. I am a very sweet, beautiful cat. I will follow you around. If I can't sneak into the room with my foster mom I'll wait outside the door for her. I like to play with my toys. Chasing balls and mice are so nice! I love to sleep in the cat tower or in the sun.  I softly meow when I need some attention. My only thing is please don't pick me up. I just don't like it.  But would you!!??  I do ok with some cats. Foster mom has 2. One I like. He licks my head. Ahhhh... the other not so much. He is kind of hyper. And likes to bat at me. I just go hide under the TV stand. He is to big to get me. Ha ha! I met a calm dog and did pretty good with her.  I am not sure about other ones.  Please don't over look me I am a really good cat. 🙂  Animal is fostered in Kenosha, WI. Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   show less

Hello! My name is Dora!! I've been shackin' up with my foster mom and her two kids who are 15 and 7 and also their three dogs. I'm so glad that I'm out of the shelter in a nice warm home. It was a bit of an adjustment when I got here because I wasn't really fond of these other dogs in the house. I guess I just needed to get used to them. They're all younger than me so they're kind of annoying! But, I'm so grateful that I don't have to be locked in a cage like they are! My foster mom says I'm just the sweetest and I don't have to be crated at all because I'm such a good girl!! As much as I love my foster home, I think I'd love my very own home with my very own forever family. Maybe one that has older pups that are more my speed (but I'd need a lot of time and patience because new thing's, especially dogs, make me crabby) or I'd be ok in a home where I can soak up all the love to myself.    i really love running around the backyard and picking a nice shady spot to take a snooze. But, im not really a fan of car rides. They make me nervous.  I'm already spayed so I'm all ready to be adopted!! Will you be my forever family? Meet Kona!  She is being posted as a courtesty to her current owner.   All inquiries will be sent to the current owner for processing and follow up.   (AKA: Kona Belle, KB, Kona Beth Dutton, Baby Belle Cheese, and many more) Kona is 2 years old, born 12/26/20. She weighs about 75 pounds and has the prettiest, longest lashes you have ever seen! She’s a sweet girl that loves belly scratches and has been known to do a little dance when she gets booty scratches. She loves her toys, especially her Jolly Ball and really anything that squeaks. Kona likes to think she’s a lap dog and will sit on you any chance she gets but she’s also pretty independent and just likes to chill and look out the window. Kona is an INCREDIBLE dog. She’s smart, loving, trusting, funny, and sweet. She also has a phone/iPad/tablet/laptop addiction and LOVES to watch birds and squirrels on YouTube. She is not one to bark and if she does, it’s usually one quick bark and she’s done. We rescued her in February of this year and brought her into our home with our other Rottweiler. However, it has become clear that she needs to be in a home without any other animals. She is ok with other dogs for a short period of time but cannot live with them. Due to her size and breed, she would do best in a home without small children. She does have some behavioral issues that can absolutely be corrected with a bit of work such as toy aggression, chewing if left unattended, and some jumping. She has responded very well and very quickly to the training that we have been able to do. Kona would thrive and be happiest if she found the following: - A home without other animals - A home without small children (due to breed and size) - An owner that can take the time to work on her few behavioral issues - An owner that will give her unending love, attention, and belly/booty scratches show less

Meet our Ole' Lady, Millie!  We lovingly call her Millie Vanillie!!!  She's is the sweetest old lady!  She is being fostered in a busy household with young kids (10, 7), dogs (senior dogs) and cats (all young ages).  HOWEVER, now that she is settling and feeling better - she is becoming a little bossy to the other dogs and cats.  She will grumble/growl at them if they come by her.  So - a home where she's the only pet may indeed be ideal. She loves to be lazy and enjoys pets!  She has NEVER had a single accident in her foster home!  Millie definitely has arthritis, a home without stairs is what she needs.  She is currently taking a joint supplement, which will be recommended to continue after adoption.  Millie was previously owned by an elderly man who passed away, she then found herself surrendered to a shelter in Kentucky after her daddy went to heaven. Her best option for a forever home would be one where she can leisurely relax, enjoy love and be spoiled.   Animal is Fostered in: Union Grove, WI  For more information, or to apply for adoption, visit our website at: www.RescueOutreach.com Please note the following will be performed on all animals prior to adoption: Microchip Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed) Heartworm Testing (dogs);    FELV/FIV Testing (cats) Age appropriate CORE vaccines. Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   show less

Calico's are known for their spunk. Yup that's Molly! From Day 1 she has been in charge and wants you to know that. She wasn't a fan of her foster family right away but after a few days she realized they always gave her treats and the best pets. Maybe they weren't so bad after all. Molly is a great eater (definitely food motivated) and uses her litter box like a big girl. Patience is key to winning her over. Every day is a new experience for all of them in the world of Molly the Calico boss lady. Once Molly trusts you, plan for her to be your sidekick. You move, she moves. You go to bed, she goes too. Bathroom break, ok she's right there helping you. Loading the dishwasher, Molly will make sure you do it right.  Molly doesn't understand she can't play rough with humans, only toys, so her forever home will not have kids or dogs. In typical female Calico fashion, she rules the roost with her sugar and spice personality. Her favorite things to do are: toss around bouncy balls, push random light things off counters, sit in the open windows and watch everything outside, eat as many treats you will let her, sleep on your legs at night and demand you share all your food with her.  Animal is Fostered in: Franklin, WI For more information, or to apply for adoption, visit our website at: www.RescueOutreach.com Please note the following will be performed on all animals prior to adoption: Microchip Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed) Heartworm Testing (dogs);    FELV/FIV Testing (cats) Age appropriate CORE vaccines. Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   show less
