About KENNY

Available for Pre-adoption!

Kenny has been through so much in his young life. Discarded like trash due to a skin condition called sarcoptic mange. He has since recovered and is waiting to find his forever home He is the most docile, loving and gentle boy. He is quiet, easy going, obedient, well mannered, behaved and very smart. He has been a joy to have around however we can't wait until he gets his very own family. He would love a home with a yard, kids and another pup to share life with if possible. Kenny is currently being treated for Ehrlicha & Anaplasmosis (Tick Fever not contagious to humans or other animals).  Treatment is 28 days of Doxycycline which will be paid for and provided for by GTDR.  He was not symptomatic as we test every dog that enters the rescue.  Crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, good with kids and all dogs. Unknown about cats however with a proper introduction he should do well. Private message if interested!!

Available for Pre-adoption! Lucy is a sweet, docile, quiet, gentle and easy going girl. She is a senior, believed to be between 8-9 yrs old. When first rescued she was very weak, lethargic, not eating nor wanting to even venture off her bed. She tested positive for Ehrlicha (Tick Fever not contagious to humans or other animals. Treatment was 28 days of Doxycycline which has been completed. Blood work was done shortly after rescue (see copy below). Blood work was done on 1/16/2023 and was not great however we knew she had a way to go in order to improve. Her kidneys were not functioning properly especially fighting Tick fever. Slowly she did improve with continued fluids, exercise, diet, medication, vitamins and lots of love she has improved drastically. She is walking longer distances and now will follow us around the entire yard. She is very happy, will bounce around in the yard and has a great appetite. Her blood work was repeated on 3/1 (see photo below). Blood work shows continued improvement. She has lost many teeth in the past (prior to us) however eats with no issue. Lucy and Pepe are now on the right diet with Hills prescription kidney care. Lucy and Pepe are a bonded pair. Pepe is believed to be her son and he is between 6-7 years old. Both are so easy and such low maintenance. Whatever their age they deserve to finally find their forever home where they can live out the rest of their lives being loved and cherished. She is mellow, she can be playful at times, is extremely obedient, well mannered, well behaved and low maintenance. Lucy is crate trained, potty trained, piddle pad trained, great with kids, cats and all dogs. Private message if interested show less

Available for Pre-adoption! Pepe is a 6-7 year old senior. When rescued he was tested positive for Ehrlicha (Tick Fever not contagious to humans or other animals). Treatment was 28 days of Doxycycline which has been completed. Blood work was done on 1/16/2023 (see copy below) and it was not what any one of us was expecting. His kidneys were not working properly and showed early signs of kidney failure. We began giving fluids, exercise, vitamins and all the food he could want. He improved & began getting stronger. Slowly his appetite increased and after 30 days he finally had a pep in his step. He is the funniest and cutest boy ever and has come such a long way and has improved drastically. Pepe's blood work was redone on 2/22/23 and showed much improvement. Now that the Tick Fever has been treated we believe his kidneys will continue to improve as the months pass however may never fully recover. He has so much life ahead, love to give & joy to bestow upon his future family. He bounces around & is such a happy boy. Pepe and Lucy are a bonded pair & believed to be mom and son. Both are so sweet and loving to everyone they meet and to one another. Pepe has such a gentle demeanor, has the cutest personality, is easy going, loving, well behaved, well mannered, obedient and such low maintenance. He loves to shadow his human, has such curiosity about the world around him. He and Lucy need a loving home that will cherish them both and allow them to live out the rest of their lives together. Pepe is crate trained, potty trained, piddle pad trained, great with kids, cats and all dogs. Private message if interested! show less
