About Ranger
Ranger can play up those puppy dog eyes like nobody's business! He doesn't know the word stranger & loves everyone he meets. He is a social butterfly!! -- Just a little bit bigger than one-weighing in about 55 lbs and will probably fill out a bit more.
Ranger would do great in a home with other dogs but does not need another dog in order to be happy. He enjoys his foster furry siblings. He is just as content spending time with a human as long as he gets regular walks & lots of attention. He does great on a leash but needs a little redirection around other dogs because he really wants to play. He also finds rabbits, cats, squirrels or birds fun to chase...everyone seems to be something fun to play with and around.
Ranger is crate trained, potty trained, & quiet so an apartment wouldn't be a deal breaker for this hound. His family would just need to commit to regular playtime, several walks a day and fun time to burn energy. He is good about "telling his foster mom" when he is ready to go outside to potty...what a smart boy! If he is in a home with a fence, one that is 5ft or taller would work for his size. He does love being outside and playing around, hanging out, and enjoying each day! He enjoys playing with toys and a game of tug-o-war is always fun, too.
"Ranger on the road" could be a little motto you use because he loves car rides. He is a road trip fanatic and wants to be your car companion.
He is sweet and gentle and likes to be near you but not a lap dog...good thing with his size. He can sit next to you and you can rub his velvety ears! He really has a wonderful personality and is easy going. He just seems to fit in anywhere with anyone. Ranger is definitely a happy, go-lucky fellow.
DOB 12/20/2021. Hound/Lab mix. As part of Ranger's $300 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
