About Bagel - food litter

Meet Bagel: Bagel is an 8 week old (as of January 2, 2023) lab/pit mix (best guess) that weighs about 10 pounds. Bagel and his litter mates (T-Bone, Cupcake, Tater Tot, Ramen, Pringle, Meatball, Creampuff and Dumpling) were born under someone’s home in the south.  Their mom was a neighborhood stray in the city and they were following their mom around looking for food when animal control was called to get them to safety.  They now are in safe homes and have full bellies! This sweet food litter is a group of your typical happy, loving, curious puppies! They are all set up to do well with other dogs, cats, and kids. As a puppy, Bagel will need consistency while working on his house training. We would love for Bagel to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play! Bagel is up to date on his puppy shots and will be neutered when age appropriate. If you are interested in adopting this sweet guy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website ( to fill out an application.

Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Banjo requires a fenced in yard and an active adopter. If you are interested in adopting Banjo, please go to our website at and fill out our adoption application.  show less
