About Jovie

If you like shredding stuffed animals and getting caught in the rain, ūüé∂

If you’re not into kittens,

If you have half an ice cube,

If you like extra snacks at midnight,

In the kitchen or the bed, ūüéĶ

Then Jovie's the one that you’ve looked for,

Apply for her to adopt.

While Jovie can’t drink Pina Coladas like in the song, she can snuggle with you and share all the snacks! One of her favorites is ice cubes! Jovie has an intense play style and loves to play rough and tough with other dogs her size. She is a fan of kids, but lacks bodily awareness, so may need older kids she can’t accidentally knock down.

Jovie is a smart girl who loves food puzzles and lick mats. She has been in our care for far too long and we’d love to find her people.

At 46lbs, which is mostly her giant face, Jovie is crate- and house-trained. Despite only being 1.5 years old, Jovie is only semi-active and enjoys lounging around after some play.

Jovie's adoption fee is $250. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and monthly flea and heartworm prevention.

Bagel is one of the more shy kittens of his litter, but he‚Äôs gaining confidence by the day. He‚Äôs still shy when you approach to pick him up, but once you‚Äôre holding him securely, this little buff boy purrs like no other kitten! His foster mom nicknamed him Rumbles. Once he starts purring, he keeps it going and going‚Ķ ¬†while eating, playing, and even using the litter box. He‚Äôs a funny, super-cute kitten who loves to play chase and wrestle with his sister, Breadstick. When you first bring him home, it will be best to place him in a quiet, small space with no hiding places‚Ķ just give him a cozy bed and toys ‚Äď he LOVES toys! ‚Äď and hold him often so he feels the love of his new people. It won‚Äôt take long for him to settle in and show you his full, sweet personality. As with most¬†kittens, he will do best when adopted with another playful kitten unless you have a friendly playful cat for him to play with already. Consider bringing Bagel and Breadstick home together!¬† Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens.¬† Meet Breadstick and Bagel at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd from 6-8pm, Wednesday and 12-4pm, Saturday¬†during our regular adoption event or 12-3pm, Sunday during our bonus event.¬†You¬†can also apply online to adopt to schedule a meet and greet another time.¬†They are neutered, up to date on their vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given a few rounds of dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative.¬†¬† show less

My name is Bailey.  I am an adorable young man.  If you want a lap kitty who wants to be petted, wants love and comes running to you for pets, I am your man.  I have been around my cat foster sister, she plays nicely and likes to snuggle with me.  You see I am FIV+ which makes me special.  You see I can be around other cats as long as they play nice with me (no fightiing that might cause a deep bite wound). I am, after all, a lover.  I arrived with an ulcer from an old eye injury and my eye is still healing, but the vet says I am fine now after they gave me some medicine for awhile. I think it makes me look mysterious. The doctor says I currently have limited vision out of that eye but it may continue to improve over time.  I also have shown a lot of relaxed and friendly interest in the polite dogs that have visited the store while I am hanging out there.  I think I would really like to play with a nice doggy!   Bailey is FIV+.  This means he has a compromised immune system.  He can still live with other cats as long as there is no fighting which causes deep bite wounds.  He did well with dogs when he was outdoors, surviving on his own until he came into our care.  He would follow the neighbor's dogs as they went on their daily walks, and he was friends with everyone around as long as they were friendly and calm.  Someone there would have adopted him, but there are restrictions of one pet per home in the retirment community he came from.  He is ready for a home where there are no other pets and lots of love and snuggle time from his people.  Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet with this handsome fella.  He is currently in a foster home while he awaits his purrfect forever family! All cats have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, are current on vaccines, been given dewormer and started on flea preventative.    show less

Hey there! So you're looking for a pup?!¬† Well my name is Bear, and I am looking for a new home. I am a 2-year-old Black mouth Cur (I think), about 65 pounds, spayed, chipped and up to date on all my vaccines. Even though I am not allowed to walk without a leash yet, I do mostly well on a leash when I know where I am. Sometimes things distract me and I get excited, or even scared when I‚Äôm not familiar with the trail‚Ķhm, maybe that‚Äôs why I always need a leash. Either way, I love my daily 1.5 mile walks, and running around my ¬Ĺ acre backyard; this really helps get my energy out. I don‚Äôt want to be picky, but I know a similar situation would be a must-have for a potential new family. Speaking of family, I was adopted when I was 5 months by a family with 2 young boys. I loved the big guy since the car ride home, but it took me a little longer to warm up to everyone else. I think I was really just nervous and scared being so young, because now I usually warm up to most people pretty fast. I play well with the boys, even though I can get a little too excited and have a tendency to knock into them or what they‚Äôre working on. I also like other dogs, but similarly, can be on the rougher side. I think it would be important that my new home does not have smaller children or dogs, but I would love another big dog to play with! I should confess that sometimes my love can require a lot more in return. I actually have separation anxiety when the big guy is away, and I can be a bit protective. I usually settle down when he leaves, or when I meet new people, but it can be a little hard for me at first. Really, I just need a lot of love and attention, with a bit of rough housing. Oh right, speaking of housing‚ĶI am quite proud of how well I learned to live in a house! Although I can make a mess tearing up my toys, I do not chew shoes or couches, and I always do my business outside! I also learned some basic commands (and a few not so basic) after we found the right training program for me. To be honest though, I may have forgotten a few. You see, I live in a more free roaming house, and the folks here are not really able to keep up with my training. I know in my heart that someone with good training experience, especially with ‚Äėspirited‚Äô pups like me, would be the best match.¬†¬† Also, there is just a little bit of medical/dietary info you should know; a little while ago I started taking some joint health supplements after I was having some troubles walking. A surgeon had said that I don‚Äôt need surgery, but instead if I take these supplements for the rest of my life, I should be fine‚Ķso far so good! I also really like raw meats added to my kibble, especially ground turkey or salmon (I think the salmon really helps my joints, too!). I know this and the supplements are little more than most people are used to, but I would love it if you could afford me this‚ĶI really don‚Äôt require much more than that, not even treats all the time! Just one at bedtime! Well, I really hope you are considering bringing me into your family. Even though I love my current family, I think we are just at different stages in our lives that can make things difficult. Just to recap, I know it would be best if you could devote a decent amount of time and love to me, and use your training experience to keep me busy and on track. I look forward to seeing you in your big yard, and where we will always be walking! Please contact the big guy when you're ready to meet me, or have any questions. Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Contact Shannon at sgillenwinney@gmail.com or 470-439-9316 for more information or to adopt the pet. Darcy is a good girl with dreams of being your best girl! She's just might be the most Asheville dog there is. Planning on going hiking this weekend? She'd love to adventure with you! Know a swimming hole that's your best kept secret? Let her splash around in it (and she'll be sure not to spoil its location to anyone!) Meeting up with friends at a brewery? She'll lay at your feet while turning on the charm, so that anyone who passes by is sure to give her a compliment! Darcy is super-friendly and has never met a stranger in either dog or human form, and she's likely less than 2 years old and weighs 45 lbs curently. She spent her first 4 months in Asheville living at Happy Tails Country Club for Dogs, where she mastered the art of playing with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperments. Since being moved into her foster home, she's learning her house manners and getting lots and lots of belly rubs (her absolute favorite!) Her ideal home would be with an active owner in search of an adventure companion - one that she can snuggle up with to relax afterwards. While she'd probably love being an only dog and soaking up all of the attention, she would do just as well (if not better) having another playful dog at home. She is crate-trained, housebroken, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Thank you so much for helping us find Darcy a home!
