Life can be scary for such a little slip of a girl. I am still haunted by my rough past but I am eager to start trusting people again. If you are a person who can give me just a little bit of time and space to adjust, I am ready to become your little cuddle bug.  I’m crate trained and mostly house-trained. I really want to please and I like to give kisses. Maybe I’m a rat terrier, or maybe a chihuahua mix, dog and cat friendly, and 100 percent super sweet. Around 4 years old, I weigh about 12 pounds and fit just right on the back of a sofa. But watch out!  I love to sneak over and kiss your cheek when you’re not looking.  show less

He is house broken and crate trained. He needs a little extra work on his manners around strange dogs but at home he plays well with his foster siblings.  #aceventura – About Renegade Paws Rescue: Renegade Paws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing the highest level of care for unwanted, abused or injured dogs in the Coastal Empire and surrounding areas. Adoption Process: Complete an online application via our website or for a specific dog or cat using Petfinder. Completing an online application is the first step and does not obligate you in any way. An adoption coordinator will contact you. Applications are regularly reviewed, but please allow up to one week for processing. Once you have spoken to an adoption coordinator, we’ll call your references and veterinarian to ensure that your current/previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for. For renters, we’ll check with your landlord to verify applicable pet policies, and whether there are any size or breed restrictions. Due to Covid-19, home checks are currently virtual. If everything looks good and you want to proceed, we will arrange a Meet and Greet. We require all members of the adopter's household, including current dogs, to meet our adoptable pets in person and therefore prioritize applicants in the Savannah, GA area. After a successful Meet and Greet, with all parties agreed, we will complete your adoption with a contract, payment, and transfer of medical records. It is our hope that adopters will join our community of adopted Renegades by participating in pack walks (for the dogs), providing updates, and keeping in touch with foster families! show less

This is Alma. She is a quiet, lovable girl. Alma loves to be with you whether it's for a walk or cuddling. If it's quiet, she can be found in the most comfortable spot fast asleep. At 4-5 years old, Alma is friendly with other dogs (and cats!), crate trained, and walks great on a leash. She loves to be outside and go for walks. Applejack is a total sweetheart. She wants to sit by you, love you, get pets and take naps. She is potty trained, knows how to sit, gets in her crate with little encouragement and sleeps well in it, plus she did not destroy anything in the house on the two occasions she has Houdini-ed out of her crate. She is very dog friendly, loves to watch out the window and happily bark at people who walk by. Artemis not only impresses with his amazing chunkiness but also a goofy personality to complete the picture.  Looking at this beautiful big boi, one would never guess that he once was an emaciated, parasite-infested pup dumped on the side of the road. Artemis has made a complete turnaround in life, and he can’t wait to find a home to call his forever.  Artemis is loving, loyal, playful, energetic, and cuddly. He has no concept of his size and loves nothing more than meal time and his collection of toys and bones.  Playing in the backyard with his foster siblings, enjoying a game of fetch, or catching water straight from the hose are all among his specialties.  Artemis is housebroken, does ok when crated (although he would prefer to be with you at all times), and knows basic commands. August is 75 pounds of pure love. She loves to chew on her stuffed animal and curl up on a blanket. She is not a fan of small dogs or male dogs. She is crate trained and loves to go for car rides. She is house trained. She is a strong girl so a house with kids over 5 is best. She loves to give kisses and will be a couch potato with you anytime of the day. She may do best in a single dog home as she wants to be dominant. She’s working on her leash manners so patience will help. She’s a quiet, loving and sweet dog who deserves the best life. show less

Axel is a lover of all things adventure!  He loves kayaking, hiking, biking, running, pretty much any outdoor activity! He is looking for a home that can keep up with his training and continue to work on his dog-socialization skills. He would do well in an active home that he can call his own without any furry siblings. He would be an excellent running partner for someone, although he also walks well on a leash. One man's trash is another man's treasure... Azizi (Swahili word for treasure) is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet. All he wants to do is be by your side, snuggle and kiss you. The trick is you need to earn his trust.Once you do, he'll be your friend for life. Azizi was literally dumped into a donation bin at animal services along with 3 other pups (they were stuffed in a carrier next to the donation bin). His head was bloody from him scratching at the hoardes of fleas biting at him, but this boy does not have a mean bone in his body. He is believed to be four years old, but does have some arthritis. You wouldn't know that as you'll see him running after his feline foster sibling and jumping into a chair near his human or claiming his spot on his human's bed. This scaredy cat not only needs time and patience but definitely needs a fenced yard so that he can explore his freedom. To regain his trust of humans, he would prefer a quiet household. He is going to need a special person with a lot of patience as he is skeptical of humans except for his foster mommy. He attaches to his human easily but is understandably afraid of others. That being said, he loves other dogs and plays with the cat but gets very jealous if his human is giving attention to the other pups. He will reward his furever person with tons of kisses and sitting as close as he can and being a lifelong companion. A bonus is that he has fabulous Yoda ears and a great side eye look.
