Meet the adorable, Adora! She is an emaciated coonhound, she's a year or two old, 43lbs, has obviously had a tough life thus far. She showed up  at a local farmers home and he started feeding her but it took him a long time to earn her trust. She kept running away again and again. He finally caught her this time! She's very sweet and easy to handle, even walks on a leash. Can you give this sweet, timid girl a second chance at life?! She is good with other dogs and loves kids, seems to trust them more than adults! She was also around livestock and chickens and never offered to bother anybody. show less

Hi my name is Athena. I am looking for my forever home. My foster mom says that I am going to find a forever family soon that will give me all the attention I want. I can’t wait for that because my foster mom said that I am an attention hog. I love to get belly rubs, kisses, and hugs. I love to cuddle too. My foster mom always calls me a cuddle bug all the time. In the mornings I am super hyper and love to play with all the toys. I also love to play with my foster fur sister. She has a lot of energy too so we can play for hours. Most of the time it does not hurt but my foster mom says that sometimes it feels like I am pinching her but not super hard. When I am super hyper I like to jump and when my foster mom or dad are laying in bed or on the couch I like to pounce on them. I am only 50ish pounds but I have a lot of muscle. My foster dad said I am a mini tank which is why I would do best with a family with no kids under 8. I would be perfect for a young couple that is active or even a active single person. My foster parents say that they think I am around 2-3 years old because of how much energy I have and how playful I am. They also think that I am a pocket pitbull. I am short with a broad chest, small legs, big head and a smushy face. I also waddle when I prance. I will do anything for a treat like sit or go in my crate. I havn't had an accident inside in a month! I love getting treats when I am a good girl and go to the bathroom outside. I am crate trained and I never go potty in it. If you pick me I promise to love you unconditionally and to give you all the kisses and cuddles you want. I hope I get to meet you soon! show less

He's a little nervous of everything at first but it only takes a second for that big tail to start wagging! He's good with other dogs and kids. Was kept in a small kennel most of his life. Hello my name is Bolt also known as Tyrion. Isn’t it cool I have two names?!?! I am a happy boy who came all the way from Kentucky to find a forever family. I am about a year and half old about 45lbs and I am neutered. I am friendly with all dogs and children. I have never been around a cat so we don’t know how I would react to them. I also know some commands! I know how to “sit” and “down”. My ideal family would be someone that is home a lot or would like a companion to take with them because I just love being around people and will get upset when my people leave. I will crawl right into anyone’s lap and fall asleep. My favorite hobby is cuddling. I will just lay in your lap or next to you all day. My foster family says I’m the happiest boy. Someone told me that they like smooshy face dogs in Pennsylvania? Greetings! My name is Callie and I’ve been living in a Kentucky shelter for a little while even though I’m quite lovely and always behave myself. Less, then a year old, I’m still a baby girl and I weigh around 45 pounds and get along with other dogs. I just really, really want hugs and kisses and to be the center of attention. My other favorite things to do are walking on the leash and sitting on the shelter couch with shelter workers. They give me lots of belly rubs. It’s sad and scary in the shelter when they aren’t there. I just love people that much. Simber and Ella were my friends and they told me that they were going to a faraway place called Pennsylvania where they would get their forever homes and loving families. I hope I can go, because those are the two things that I want more than anything. show less

Hello everyone my name is Calvert! But my foster family calls me cal for short! I'm 2 years old. I'm a Bernese Mt Dog mix maybe even some Border Collie. I came all the way from Kentucky. I was a stray living on the streets. At some point in my life I was abused sometimes if you touch my butt to scratch it I will cry, I'm sorry but I just wasn't treated right before and im new to this thing called LOVE. I will not do anything but cry out. My foster family tells me I'm a good boy but I'm still learning. They told me that I'm only here til someone wants to adopt me! I hope I find my fur ever home! I walk good on the leash when I'm used to the area but if you take me to the stores that allow pets , I just want to smell everything but I am catching on so please don't let that scare you!  For the first time theres a dog bed for me! Also a blanket but I perfer the floor. I'm still new with this crate training but learning. I'm very good in the car. I will not jump on the bed or come in the bathroom unless you say so. I'm learning sit. I'm good with kids, dogs, and cats! I'm all up to date on my shots. Daxter is a 5 year old sweet boy that is in need of a new home! He is basset mix with some extra tini legs to keep him low to the ground for brute strength and a little extra chunk around the mid line for warm snuggles 😂❤️ Daxter is potty trained, crate trained, and a perfect gentleman in the home if left alone ! He loves his ball and playing fetch! This is not an easy rehoming. Daxter needs a home with no kids, cats, or other dogs.  We have come to realize, when we say a “ safe place “ , Daxter needs a home that is just his dog parents, him, and a cuddly place on the couch/ bed and he is the happiest dog in the world! He loves to smell, smell, smell and be outdoors so a fenced in yard would be helpful. He does not try to jump fences so fence height doesn’t concern us in any way! Or he'd enjoy going on many walks with his pawrents so he can stop and spell the roses 🌹 Between the rescue, current owner, and in-home trainer, we have all decided to begin Daxter on Prozac to see if this helps him over come some of his anxieties in life and broaden his ability to be introduced to new things in life in a positive manner!  If you would like to be the one to save a TRUE rescue in need, that has fallen to the hands of humans that have failed him in his past life, and feel you have a calm home life for Daxter to play ball, lounge in the yard, cuddle up on the couch, and give you endless laughs and attention, please apply @crossyourpaws.com  show less

Who ever said old dogs can’t learn new tricks didn’t know me! I am Dee Dee. My friend Dex and I have had a rough life, we were found abandoned in a house. Between his creativity and my love, we survived and are excited to meet our furever families!   I am looking for a calm home where I can relax in my older years. I am 8 years old but despite my age, I am still energetic and like to tussle with Dex. I love other dogs and prefer a home with furry friends. I would make a good hiking friend and fellow couch potato. I just appreciate the second chance I am getting in life and looking for a home that will let me sunbath in the yard while I watch birdies fly around.  I am very wise and love deeply after I warm up to people. Sometimes people scare me, so I will need someone who is patient and kind when introducing me to new folks. I am well mannered in a home. I am potty trained and greatly appreciate any blankets I am allowed to snuggle with.  I hope I can find a home with my friend Dex but what’s most important is I find a home that can love me fully.
