Hello my name is Cooper. I'm a 1.5 yr old black and white cat with a cow pattern in my fur. I love people and know I wouldn’t be here without their help! When my folks return home and call my name, I run like the wind to greet them at the door. I am so lucky to be alive. I was rescued from the streets at 6 weeks. I am very easy going and super affectionate. I like to look out windows and adore watching TV. I love a comfy lap and I live to snuggle. I get crazy playing in the evenings; my favorite toys are laser pointers and any type of ball or catnip-stuffed mouse. I have no experience with children but think I would likely do well with proper introductions. I grew up in a foster home with many cats and kittens, but I'd probably be better as an only pet given my restrictive diet so I don't get into anyone else's food. More on that below! Currently I am thriving eating a Rx-wet-food-plus-water diet (a can of Blue Buffalo Rx Natural Veterinary Diet wet food mixed with a cup of water morning and night). I also need to be encouraged to drink liquids; my current favorite beverage is a quarter cup of goat’s (or even cow) milk when I strain at the litter box. For the record, I like dry food, but I absolutely cannot eat it EVER since hydration is a worry. show less

This beautiful and precious girl is Kashmira.  Kashmira is approx. 1 year old. When Kashmira was found, it was determined that she was abandoned as she had already been spayed so at some point she had a home.  Kashmira is exceptionlly sweet. She loves gazing out the window. She also loves her bed which she loves to nuzzle. Kashmira is a major league fan of cat toys. She just loves her turboscratcher and all our wand toys. We wonder if she ever had cat toys to play with because she REALLY enjoys playing with all the toys at the shelter. Kashmira will climb into your lap but she is a major league fan of her cat bed....which will go with her to her new loving, forever home.  Kashmira gets along well with the other shelter cats. She's a love and extremely gentle. She will make a loving companion. Kashmira is very independent but in a super sweet and loving way. She will do well in a home with children who will want to play with her. We are not sure about how she will handle dogs.  Kashmira is spayed, healthy and up to date on all of her vaccinations. Paelli was a stray that walked into a pet store and refused to leave.  He had lived with other cats and dogs but would rather all the attention on him.  He is all personality, loving and cuddly, even though he is an older kitty he acts just like a younger cat and loves to play with toys and loves any food.  He will try and take yours too.  He would be good with older children as he is always under your feet. He is medium energy and just a handsome boy. show less

Paulie is a sweet, gentle boy who was found as a local stray. Friendly, calm, and affectionate, Paulie is extra special due to his polydactyl paws on all four feet. He loves treats, loves being fussed over and snuggled, and enjoys the company of other cats. Paulie would probably be right at home in a family of any size or type, as he adores every person he meets. We’re not sure if he’s been with dogs previously, but we’d imagine he’d do fine with - and might even befriend - a calm, respectful canine roommate. Easy going is the name of the game with this super chill dude, who would be happiest napping and purring the day away with you on a cozy couch or draped over your windowsill watching the birds, though he does have occasional playful bouts of the “zoomies!”  Paulie’s big beautiful “toe beans” will need regular nail trims as he is prone to painful ingrown claws. But honestly, he’s so laid back, this doesn’t phase him in the least! We think every home should have a loving friend like our faithful Paulie-Wog. show less

Shadow is a sweet, calm, and extremely friendly senior boy who was loved for his entire life. He’s now awaiting his next chapter after his owner fell on tough times and could no longer care for him. Shadow enjoys the company of other cats and has lived with a young child without any issues. He’s become immediate friends with his senior roommate, Paulie (also available and so sweet). While very spry for his age and still prone to the occasional “kitten zoomies,” Shadow is equally happy on a soft bed or in a warm lap. We aren’t sure if he’s been around dogs before, but a calm and respectful pup who can give him his space would probably be fine, we’re guessing.  Shadow appears in generally good health, though does have some typical age-related issues currently being addressed by our vet team - we’d be happy to discuss further with any potential adopter. Seniors have so, so much love to give and are wise old souls, so if you want a calm, cool cat, our life-seasoned Shadow would make an incredible addition to nearly any type of household. show less

Willow trees are beloved for their sturdy bows that bend but never break. Our own Willow’s tale is likewise one of survival and gentle grace. At just two years old, her scars tell a tale of resilience. This young mom, beloved by our volunteers, has a crinkly ear, missing teeth, and a hard lump on her tummy - we’ve been told it’s most likely from having too many litters well before her time. Willow is an old soul who bears no grudges from her sad history. Sweet, gentle, and playful, this loving girl has been waiting for her forever with her devoted foster momma - who would LOVE to keep her, but the resident canine has other plans! Willow has been with our rescue since February and we would love nothing more for the purrfectly imperfect beauty to go home before another winter season.
