Introducing Padron, our charming 3-year-old male Chihuahua! This little guy is a proud member of our Red Hot Chi Chi Peppers crew, a group of 12 Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes who are all gearing up to find their forever families. Padron may come in a small package, but he's got a heart full of love and loyalty to share. Like many of his Chihuahua counterparts, he can be a bit cautious in new situations, but with a little encouragement and time, he blossoms into a delightful companion. He's a sweet and affectionate fellow who forms strong bonds once he's chosen his person. When it's bedtime, Padron is a dream come true; he sleeps soundly through the night and keeps his crate impeccably tidy. We're currently working on his housetraining skills, and he's showing great progress, especially when he's on a consistent outside potty schedule. Padron is generally a quiet pup, and has medium energy level liking to play but loving to lounge. This little guy has brains to match his affectionate nature. He's smart, eager to please, and adores snuggle sessions. Padron's petite size suggests that he would thrive in a home without young children, but he should do just fine with responsible teenagers as his siblings. Padron is very adaptable around other animals. He's met kitties, pea fowl, and horses, and although he shows interest, he doesn't chase or pester them. This makes him an excellent match for a home with various animal companions. Saturn is a confident and affectionate girl, who will require plenty of exercise. We are seeking an experienced owner with a background in herding dogs or dog sports who can channel her energy and intellect appropriately, provide her with enriching experiences, and continue her positive reinforcement training. Saturn is highly motivated by food and excels in learning new skills and relishing the training process. Her growing interest in activities such as disc and herding/chasing is quite noticeable. Introducing Shrimp! Shrimp is a sweet and gentle 1-year-old lab mix girl looking for a patient and loving family to give her a forever home. She came to us as part of a group of 24 dogs from a hoarding case in partnership with HSUS. These dogs, including Shrimp, are incredibly sweet but have never experienced life in a home or kindness from humans. They'll need some patience as they learn that their lives from now on will be filled with love and care. Shrimp is still on her journey to trust people but has made significant progress with the adults in her foster home. She is kind to the kids but she finds their high energy levels overwhelming. Therefore, we're seeking a forever family without kids or one with older calm teens who will help her feel safe and secure in her space. Shrimp finds comfort in her crate and considers it her safe space. At night, when the house is peaceful, she likes to come out for gentle scratches and cuddles. She absolutely adores playing with her four-legged foster brother, and this has been invaluable to her growing confidence.
