About Duke

Adoption Fee: $350

Hi, I'm Duke🐾 I'm thought to be around  1.5-2 years old. I'm the perfect medium size at 40lbs, I look big in pics but I am told I am very petite. I do well in car ride and I'm potty trained!!
I'm looking for a best friend who will be with me most of the time.I love to get warm and burrow under a blanket next to my human.
I really like being outdoors exploring and running the fenced yard and I'm told I walk well on the leash!!😊I'm a great jumper so must make sure fence is secure with nothing up against it that I may climb and escape.
I love playing with toys and my foster pack. I can play hard so smaller dogs are not the best fit for me. That being said I'd be better with kids 10+. I tolerate my foster families cats but I'm an attention seeker so I do not like when my fosters cat cuddles them when I am already doing that! So I will need an understanding owner who will work with me if they do have cats.
I really want to be with my family most of the time so I have anxiety when I'm left alone. My foster Mom is teaching me it's OK. I'm even starting to know I get a treat when I'm told to get in my cage.😊When you come home I will let you know with lots of howls and kisses how much I missed you!!
I'm Duke 🐾 looking for love❤ and a human to call my own.

Meredith

Siberian Husky

Hi, I’m Mischa! I think I used to be called Meredith before I came to my foster home, but now I answer to Mischa and I love my new name!... show more

Hi, I’m Mischa! I think I used to be called Meredith before I came to my foster home, but now I answer to Mischa and I love my new name! I currently live with my foster humans- mom and dad, two foster brothers and a foster sister (19, 12, & 8), I love those child-sized humans!! I also live with my furry foster siblings- another husky and two pomeranians. Because I’m a husky and have a prey drive, sometimes I forget that the pommies are my siblings and I chase them! Oops! I would probably like my forever home to not have any smaller dogs or cats so I don’t accidentally hurt them. I have fun with my husky sister, but I do get a little jealous when my foster family gives her attention. I think I could do well with another big dog as a sibling, but we’d have to meet first to make sure. I would likely also be happy as an only dog, as I LOVE to get all the attention. I’m always up for cuddling on the couch and having my belly rubbed. I am pretty chill for a husky, and I don’t have any destructive behaviors.. I know how to go potty outside and I love having a fenced in yard here at my foster home to explore in. My foster mom says I know how to sit and give paw. This seems to make her really happy and I get a treat when I do it! If you’re eating something delicious, I will try to have a taste. When I do this, my foster mom says this “no” word and looks grumpy, so I stop, and then she’s happy again.  My foster family says I’m the prettiest, most snuggly girl ever and would make a wonderfully warm companion this winter!. Do you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for me?    If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less

Hello, dog-loving people. My name is Midnight. I'm a 86 lb Newfoundland-lab mix and I am around 7 years old. Some might describe me as regal and a gentle giant. Others have used words like 'lazybones' and 'fainthearted.' I don't know what those words actually mean, but I'm certain they are flattering! I'm 7 years old and my favorite hobbies are napping and being petted. Although I'm supposed to be a water dog, my least favorite things to do are get baths, or even go outside in the rain. Not to worry though, I can hold it for a really long time if I want to wait out the rain! In fact, I have never had an accident in my foster's house and she says that a first in over 30 dogs that she has fostered! I'm very obedient and quickly listen to being told 'no' so that I stay safe. Words like sit, or lay down, are much less important to me since I will pretty much always be doing that anyway. I'm very good on a leash, possibly because I'm a little scared of leashes. And tie-outs. Actually, now that I think of it, I'm kinda scared of being outside at all for too long. Especially in the dark. I'm not going out there if you're not going with me and don't even think about letting go of the leash! It turns into a leash monster that chases me on the ground behind me and I run straight back to the house. You're on your own out there! It's your job to protect me, not the other way around! I don't really like cats so I bark to scare them away. But I'm fine with other dogs, as long as they aren't trying to eat my food. And the best part is that I'm silky soft and the perfect petting height. You don't even have to bend over to pet me. If you want lots of love with less liveliness then maybe I'm the dog for you!    show less

Peach is looking for her new forever home. She is a loving dog, her favorite past times are snuggles, fetching a ball and her Kong bones. She does well in training and is inquisitive around other dogs. We think Peach would do best with no small children in the home because she loves her person and shows some guarding. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Other than the blindness in one eye, she is healthy.  Hello, my name is Peach! I am 3-4 year old female pitbull mix. I was left abandoned in the middle of a busy road. I was scared and running for my life. But I was rescued! Now I am looking for my forever home. I spent many days starving and unloved but now I weigh around 70lbs! I am going blind in my right eye and sometimes I bump into things or get scared if I see shadows. When I get scared I never show aggression. I love people of all shapes and sizes even the extra small ones, but sometimes I jump. I am always very excited to see people and be shown affection. With the right introduction I would be great with another dog that's high energy just like me. I would not be a good fit for a family with small animals as sometimes I want to chase them. I am crate trained, house trained, I do well riding in the car and on my leash. My crate is my safe space and I always need it available in case I get overwhelmed. Sometimes when I’m bored I like to chew so I need toys around all the time. Tennis balls are my favorite! All I want is a home to call my own, a bed to snuggle into, and a human to always reassure me that I am safe.
