About Fritz

Adoption Fee: $350.00

Hi! I’m Fritz, a 2 year old, 12 lb chihuahua mix that was found as a stray. I may have some trust issues and am not afraid to express my opinions. Therefore, I would probably do best in an all adult, chihuahua experienced home. I enjoy playing with my stuffed ball, taking neighborhood walks on a leash, and following my people around the house. I mostly like other small dogs but, at times, can be selective. No one likes everyone! I’m doing well with my housetraining and may need some gentle reminders initially. If you are looking for a spirited chihuahua, I might be your guy.

PAW places animals in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area only.

***COURTESY POST***** Bobo, an 8 year old, 60 lb., Amstaff is living with his current mom, who says the following about him: Bobo had a very rough first few years of life. I adopted him from a kill shelter where he had been brought after being found chewed up by other dogs in a ditch. He had heartworm and terrible anxiety. Over the last four years that I've had him, he's turned into a whole new dog. He is a low energy dog that enjoys resting around the house and laying with you while you watch tv. His favorite things are being loved and food. He always brings a "present" to greet you when you open the front door whether it's a toy or a pair of underwear. He is quirky and loving and absolutely loves car rides. He holds the leash in his mouth when he's excited to go out for a walk. Bobo enjoys playing tug of war with his stuffed animal lamp chop toys. He gets along great with people and has been exposed to kids from age 5 and up. He enjoys short walks or hikes in areas without other dogs around. He can't walk more than a mile or two at most. He does lunge at dogs when on leash and doesn't get along with other dogs. He knows commands like sit but will usually only comply if a treat is involved. He is housebroken. He is afraid of storms and hides in the bathroom during them. The ideal owner would have a fenced-in backyard with no other dogs or cats. He would do well with someone dog-savvy with patience. It breaks my heart to have to depart with Bobo because I love him more than anything. I just don't have the ability to properly care for him anymore in the way that he deserves. Josey is a 5-month-old tabby shorthair, with bright yellow eyes and a grey-striped coat splashed with white - a neat front ruffle, a blaze across her nose, white socks in front - and crazy long white "boots" in back! Josey is adventurous and loves to play with toys and puzzles or go a few rounds with her siblings Sparky and Jonie. She has a mellow personality and enjoys being around people. She rubs your ankles, loves a good scratch, and may curl up next to you for a nap or a night's sleep. She's not anxious and gets along great with other cats (we don't know yet about dogs or children). Josey is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations (including rabies) and she has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Josey can't wait to find her perfect forever home and family! The first step in our adoption process is to complete PAW’s Cat Adoption Application. PAW’s Cat Adoption Application can be accessed by following this link: or by using the ‘Adopt’ shortcut found on this kitten’s profile page on PAW’s website: If you have questions about Josey, please contact Natalie at Please Note: Once an adoption application has been approved and selected to move forward with our adoption process, you will be contacted in order to schedule a virtual ‘Meet and Greet’ with the kitten and their foster. Our virtual meet and greets are most often conducted via Zoom or Facetime. Since adopters are unable to meet our rescue cats in person at this time, PAW is honoring a 2-week trial adoption in order to ensure the kitty match you’ve made is a perfect one!  *As an all volunteer organization we do our very best to review and respond to Adoption Applications as well as general Inquiries in a timely fashion. We genuinely appreciate your patience as it can often take several days to a week to complete this process. Once an application is received, reviewed and approved, a volunteer will be in touch with you as quickly as possible!* show less
