About Babette

Adoption Fee: $150

This sweet floof is Babette.  She loves being petted, cuddling on laps, playing with toys and cuddling with her sister, Molly.  She loves being around people of all ages and wants to be included when the family gathers.  She is litter box trained.  Babette and Molly are like two peas in a pod and would love to be adopted together.  They spend most of their time together playing or cuddling.   They both love chasing each other around the house doing sneak attacks on each other or humans. They are both fine with small dogs and after proper introduction would do well with large dogs too.  They are both great with children and adults and want to be included when the family gathers.

Babette and Molly will be attending our adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd.

Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens.  All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, vaccinated (whatever they can have in the period they are in our care, some will still need additional vaccines after adoption), given dewormer and flea preventative and provided care for any known illnesses during their time with us.

Look at this majestic whie floof!  She is silky soft.  Fluffy was so frightened at first, but given slow and loving care, she made nice progress.  New places will scare her though and definitely new people.  She has come so far, but she needs the perfect adopter.  A quiet home and patience will be key to gaining her trust and letting her love you.  Once she does, she approaches for pets and meals and talks to you.  She will need to be started in a room where there are not hiding places (a bathroom would be great or an empty bedroom, with no bed or dresser to hide beneath).  In that space, you sit and talk and earn her trust before you open up the rest of your home.  I went through this with her, and it was so rewarding to see the progress she made.  If I didn't already have a full house, she would be staying!  She really, really likes other friendly cats after an introductory hissy period (no aggression).  I do not know how she would be around dogs but would suspect calm dogs would be fine.  Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet with Fluffy.  Her matching sister, Puffy, was similarly shy and was adopted months and months ago.  Fluffy has been waiting since last March.   Fluffy is current on vaccines, spayed, has been microchipped, FELV/FIV tested negative, been given dewormer and monthly flea preventatitve.   show less

Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Contact the owner at shaestorm16@hotmail or 828-280-6844 for more information or to adopt the pet. Kylo is a male Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix… a best educated guess, according to his vet. He will be 3 years old in November. We adopted him one month before the start of the Pandemic, so Kylo spent his first two years in our yard, with very little social interaction. He was very happy at our home which was surrounded by several fenced acres. This year we lost our home.  Kylo is extremely intelligent, affectionate, gentle, playful and sweet. He loves to play keep away with socks and tissues… and he loves to sleep next to me. He is an exceptionally gorgeous creature. He gets lots of attention and compliments from other humans wherever we go because he is really very handsome. He gets along with most humans, my two cats and other dogs that come to visit, given enough time for him to adjust to the new energy.  He is an amazing protector! He is often on high alert and is a barker, especially when he is outside and senses something unusual. His bark is deep and loud. He really loves to bark.  Because we do not have a home with a fenced-in yard anymore, Kylo has to be walked on leash. He is controlled until distracted by other dogs, animals or even cars driving by. Then he barks and growls and lunges…. Kylo weighs nearly 100 lbs and is hard to control when he gets worked up, which inevitably happens when we walk on the street on leash.  Kylo needs a person he can give his heart and unfaltering loyalty to. He also needs a fenced-in yard so he can run & play… with no neighbors close by because the barking could be an issue. Kylo is neutered, current on all vaccines, takes medicine to prevent fleas, ticks and heartworm, and has been under veterinary care at North Asheville Animal Hospital since we adopted him at 12 weeks old.  He has had 8 weeks of formal puppy training in a group session, as well as a second series of general “manners” training. He is very motivated by treats and will sit, lie down, come and sometimes stay. He will gently take treats from my mouth & loves to be brushed if treats are involved. He loves to ride in the car, but will bark at other dogs he sees on the street.  He does not like the dog park; he greets the humans and hides from all the other dogs.  Given the appropriate environment for us to live, I would NEVER be seeking to re-home my beautiful boy. He is a very special, very loved dog, and he deserves a really happy life. Contact me today at shaestorm16@hotmail or 828-280-6844 to learn more about sweet Kylo! show less
