About Squeakers

This sweet little Min Pin is a bit shy at first, but never nippy like some "smalls" can be. Once she knows she's safe with you, she is an affectionate, playful pup.  She gets along well with all dogs & humans in her foster home.

LOCAL GIRL, PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED, KARMA, NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION – Karma’s Story - You may remember our post from July 12th about a momma dog that had been dumped in Orchard Park near Chestnut Ridge. We can’t begin to convey to you the rush of emotions that rescuers feel when we see things like this, and we see it far too often. When Karma was originally spotted, it was obvious that she had recently nursed puppies, so a FaceBook friend shared her story with us. She had been spotted several times in an Orchard Park neighborhood, running alone and scared. 7 Hearts contacted Sherlock Bones Lost 'N Hound Dog Recovery who responded immediately. It took some perseverance on their part, but after a few days, they were able to trap Karma in one of their live traps. Upon our closer examination, it was clear that although Karma had recently nursed babies, she hadn’t done so in approximately 2 weeks. We did bring her back to the area she had been running and spent the afternoon with her on leash to make sure there were no pups out there. The only thing we can figure happened is that Karma gave birth to her babies and when they came to be of a certain age (most likely still too young to be away from their momma), she was dumped and her pups were probably sold. We kept Karma in foster for a few weeks, and although she was extremely affectionate with her Foster Mom, it became apparent that she was going to need some help to get over her fear of men. We couldn’t give up on this girl after all that she had been through, so at the suggestion of a FaceBook Friend, we reached out to January Marie from the rescue, Be Their Voice, and owner at Dog Bar who put us in touch with the wonderful folks at Next Level K9 Academy LLC Karma was enrolled in a 3 week board and train program and her progress has been amazing! She is now professionally trained to: come, sit, down, place, and walks like a champ with a loose leash (heel command). She is also trained to walk on a treadmill. Most importantly, Karma has learned to trust and feel safe. This girl deserves to be loved by a furever family. If you would like to know more about Karma and/or would like to meet her, please private message our page or send us an email at 7heartsrescue@gmail.com. We send a great big hug and thank you out to January Marie, and Jason and his son at Next Level K9 Academy LLC who went above and beyond to not only provide the expert training she needed, but also the emotional support, love and reassurance that not all humans are like those that she had experienced in her past life. Karma wants to be loved. Please consider giving this lovely girl her happy tail ending! show less
