Howdy, my name is Bogart Deuce, but my friends call me Bogart. I'm a 3 1/2 month-old Lab mix and weigh 28 lbs (as of early November 2023). I don’t remember much of my early puppy months other than I was found as a stray. The nice people at the shelter brought me in and gave me a temporary place to lay my head until PAW scooped me up. Are you looking for a dog who just wants to cuddle in your lap while looking at you with adoration through beautiful green eyes? Then I'm looking for you too! I am a fun-loving, handsome, and playful puppy who may need a refresher on potty training. I have the softest brown fur that wrinkles up on my forehead when I'm giving kisses or smiling up at you. The people at PAW say that I am a beautiful dog, good on a leash, and a "cuddle bug" (not sure what that means but I think it is a good thing). I do great with children (except I do need to lick them to say "hello") and other dogs. So, what do you say, how about giving me a chance?  PAW places animals in the Washington, DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area only. show less

Hello, I’m Brian, a 3 month old (as of October 2023), lab x puppy. I don’t know why my previous owner surrendered me to the shelter, but I don’t let that keep me down. You can say I’m the typical fun-loving, cute, and playful puppy.  As a growing puppy, I may need help with potty training and how to walk on a leash, but I know I can learn anything with positive reinforcement and lots of yummy treats! Briar Rose (or Rose for short) and her brother Phillip are an absolutly adorable, 4-month-old, bonded pair of kittens. Briar Rose is a gray and tan, female, tiger-tabby who is super social and full of curiosity! Sweet little Rose is adventurous and playful but also very affectionate and cuddly. Briar Rose is extremely playful and high energy. She loves to zoom around and can leap high into the air to bat her favorite toys. At the end of a play session, she sweetly cuddles with her brother and or a nearby human. She has adorable black and white spots on her tummy! Briar Rose and Phillip have tested negative for FIV/FeLV. They are spayed and neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. Briar Rose & Phillip Are A Bonded Pair!  *Please Only Apply If You Would Like To Adopt This Pair Of Kittens* Both kittens will be great with kids (no clawing or biting). Charlie is a playful, loving, and spirited kitten! He was born in April 2023. He can usually be found playing gently with his foster parent's resident  young and senior cats. Charlie loves chasing spring toys around on the floor, but he is also a cuddly guy who wants to find a forever home where he will be loved and give tons of love in return. He loves being held and petted. He might take a few days to warm up to his new people and other cats, but once he's comfortable is a great companion. Hello, my name is Ellie. I'm a 5 1/2 month-old Shepherd mix and weigh about 29 lbs (as of November 2023). I am sorry I look a bit sad in my profile picture, but I haven’t had it easy. My mother, my sister (Ember), and I were found abandoned in a crate on someone’s property. I don’t exactly remember how we ended up in a crate, but I remember feeling hungry and scared. The nice people who rescued us took us to a local shelter. Although it got loud at the shelter sometimes, the people there were very nice. They bathed us, fed us, and made sure we were okay. After settling in, some nice people adopted my mother and took her home with them. Before leaving, my mom told me to be brave and she assured us we’d find a forever home soon. My sister, Ember, and I have waited patiently for loving homes for several weeks at the shelter, but we’ve had no luck. I was beginning to lose hope until PAW came and scooped me and my sister up. The nice PAW volunteer who drove me and my sister to this area assured me that I’d find my loving forever home. As much as I care for my sister, I do not need to be adopted with her. Keiko has made incredible progress with the help of some dental work to get her feeling better and with the unwavering dedication of her wonderful, caring foster.  Keiko is a social kitty who would love to find a quiet, calm forever home. Lotus is a 6 year old, 41 lb., pointer mix. She is very sweet and loves to meet people. She is not a small dog, but seems to believe she is a lap dog! Lotus loves her people, toys, and food! She feels very strongly about protecting all of the resources she gathers, especially around other dogs. Because of this, Lotus needs to go to a home without any other dogs, cats, or small children. A single family home or townhouse with a private yard is ideal for Lotus. She really is such a sweet girl; she just knows what she likes! Can you blame her?! Lotus is incredibly gentle. She's even gentle with her stuffies and in play. She's truly a gentle soul that just needs a home that can give her tons of love and special treatment as the only furry family member in the home. Ringo is a 3 year old, 24 lb., beagle mix. His foster parents say that he is awesome!! He is seriously perfect- housebroken and good with their dogs and even their cat! He loves to play, especially with his ball! Ringo would do best in a single family home, preferably with a fenced-in yard (not a requirement) as he loves to explore, run around and play.   Ringo hasn't quite picked up that not everything is a chew toy so it's best that he be crated, or confined to a certain area, when no one is home. However he does not do well being confined for long periods.  For this reason, Ringo's forever home should be in a home whre someone is home for a significant amount during the day. Hi, it’s nice to meet you. I’m River, an Anatolian Shepherd x who is about a year old and 48 lbs. I lived with six other dogs before my human surrendered me and my fur siblings. My previous human was older, and he couldn’t afford to take care of all six of us. At the shelter, I made friends with a couple of people there. One very nice lady at the shelter told me I was one of her “personal favorites.” I guess it’s because I’m sweet and love to get my belly rubbed. At first, I’m a little shy around new people and dogs given all the changes I’ve been through. However, that doesn’t mean I have a mean bone in my body! Once I get to know you or a new dog, you’ll see my silly playful side! In fact, I made a really good friend at the shelter before coming to PAW. We loved playing in the yard. I hope my forever home will shower me with love and treats while being patient with me as I gain confidence. This precious, 2-year-old kitty is a sweet as can be. Sadie loves pets and will give tiny little meows to narrate the experience. Sadie's favorite game is to try to catch thrown treats with her paws! She loves playing with a wand toy. Saddie can even jump high into the air and do somersaults to catch mouse toys! She's very proud of herslef afterwards.  Sadie would do best in a quiet home, preferably without other pets. Saddie can be a little shy around new people at first, but warms up quickly! Do you have the right place in your heart for this deserving darling? She will repay you with her big heart! Sadie is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FELV. Due to severe dental disease when she was young, prior to being rescued, Sadie has many teeth removed - but there's no need to worry! Sadie eats everything!
